This was my first time trying Indian food ever. I told the hostess and she was very helpful with suggestions. It was great food and while it was a little more expensive than I was thinking it was well worth it. Definitely one of my new favorites in Fort Wayne.
Best and most authentic Indian food in northeast Indiana!
My husband, 20 month old boy and I had a carryout meal last night. It is our second meal from A Taste of India and we are very impressed! We had two orders of Chicken Tikka Masala, one mild and one medium, a chicken pakora, naan bread and pappodums (possibly spelled wrong, but I think they call them something else on the menu).
Our little boy absolutely loved everything we ordered. I have never seen him eat so heartily as when he has had A Taste of India!
Also, my husband is from the UK, where Indian food is a huge deal. He loves his curry and was impressed with what the menu had to offer. He thought the food was fantastic as well! I hope to eat in sometime soon so we can try the mango lassi, another favorite of my husband's.
Best in town, try it! We have been coming here for a while and have never been let down. Food is always awesome and service is quick. Buffet is great too.
Love the food and the people! Great service, try the kulfi, it's amazing!
Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and Naan, Rice Kheer and Galub Jamun for dessert! Yum! Our favorite Indian restaurant!
I really like the food here, people are gonna write what they want, haters gonna hate hate hate. Try it for yourself and you be the judge.
This is the first time I've been here. Stopped in for some carry-out: Goat Masala and Rasam. They made it spicy, and it was GREAT! A good bite, but not mouth-burning. I will be going back!
I've always wanted to try this restaurant. The food was amazing, didn't know they had a buffet! Definitely going to be eating here more often!
Great food, my kids love it too. So good I started this page for them just to help get the word out.

Had been for dinner yesterday with family. We were hungry so ordered only main course. They had a buffet - though the dishes were ok, didn't get enticed by the looks of the rice dishes as it looked dry.
We skipped and chose Ala Carte. We did the right thing!
We had
Lacha Paratha
Onion Kulcha
Garlic Naan
Paneer Kulcha
Veg Jalfrezi
Shahi Paneer Korma
Jeera rice was provided as an accompaniment.
The rotis were fresh, hot and awesome.
We had asked for the veg Jalfrezi to be made hot and boy....it was "Indian" Hot. :-) we simply loved it.
The paneer Korma was very flavourful and very tasty as well.
Jeera rice could have been served hot, nevertheless it was tasty and went well with the Shahi Paneer Korma.
I had asked for hot water and it was warm. I requested it be made hot and was taken aback when the lady informed that they take tap water and hence the temperature can't be controlled!
Overall our experience was unforgettable - with good, fresh and hot food.
After reading previous reviews I was scared to try this place, but I went anyway. I was the first customer in at 11a on a Sunday. They'd just put out the food when I enjoyed quite a nice meal. The food was tasty not a lot of variety and I found the naan to be bland. Other than that, no other complaints. I travel a lot around US and definitely not the worst...it's not the greatest either. As for customer service, you've to understand that most in this business don't speak much English and of course cultures differ; you can't expect them to be like a McDonalds or a Starbucks! If you smile and say hi, they usually respond kindly. I give them a 3 & 1/2 stars! My 2 pennies:):)
Love, love, love it! Love the buffet and found new favorites! Carry out is awesome and always right! Staff is Always friendly and helps with suggestions. Try it for yrself!
The samosas were great and so was the nan. We always have trouble figuring out what the dishes are on the buffet because the labeling system is not the greatest. Please fix that.
Definitely something out of the ordinary. I just wish there had been some translation or description with the food items. The chai tea was different, flowery.
Their lunch buffet includes chai which is a plus. Small selection. Their saag paneer is superior to Taj Mahal's but their Tikka Masala includes large pieces of bell pepper, which gives it a bitter flavor. I don't frequent this place as often but it is a decent option.
Good but not as good as Taj Mahal
I used to go to the Taj Mahal on the other side of Fort Wayne but when my friends from India told me that this place was better, I went and I agree. Excellent naan, ample buffet--I eat here after chrch on Sundays. The buffet changes often and the desserts are always interestingly delicious! Excellent value.
My favorite Indian place in town. Not a hugh selection on Buffet, but the Chicken Masala is great! Naan bread is a given. Highly reccommend you try this place!
I have to eat here AT LEAST once a month. Best Indian in town! Miss their buffet.
My first time having India food and it was so good. Started with a lentil soup that was very tastey. The Indian beer was very good as well, it was the flying horse. My entrée was the Lamb Saag which came with rice and naan. My taste buds were going crazy with all the amazing flavors. Will be going back.

Excellent food! Colorful, healthy, we ate our fill and still had leftovers. Do yourself a favor and get the garlic naan bread.
Excellent food every time we come in. The spicier the better. I try a different dish every time & it hasn’t disappointed. The owners are very sweet. Bonus- the music they play is a vibe 😁
