“Real Authentic Mexican Food” done right… from house made chips & tortillas to great margaritas, everything was simply excellent. Our friends insisted on taking us for a real Mexican food experience and it did not disappoint. The service was great, the food was outstanding and loved the decor. Nice fun atmosphere In an open dining area. I could not get over how fresh and tasty everything was. Very authentic and very awesome. 😎👍

Amazing food, very well priced, and excellent service. The ambiance is lively with great Mexican music playing. We enjoyed the Cornish Hen (cordoniz) and Puffy Taco dinner plate.

This is truly a cornerstone of FW history. It is a must-go to while you still can. My grandparents came here, my parents while they dated in the 1960s, I came here as a child, my husband and I came here as we dated and now I have brought my children here. Just walking in the door the sights and smells bring me right back to when I first walked in. The food is the same, just as delicious and just as heart-warming. I hate that I can't share this tradition with my grandchildren. I hope that as they move, they continue to put their love into the food as they do everything at this location. The chili sauce and queso are so delicious I could eat them on a flip-flop and be happy. I love the enchiladas, and of course, the Roosevelt is a must-try, if it's good enough for a president then it's good enough for me!!

Old school Tex-Mex. Strong drinks and simple plates. Went there to pay my respects as the original location is closing down. They were one of the oldest Mexican Restaurants in the country. The good news is that they are moving up to their new location on North Main.

I've lived in Fort Worth my whole life and never stopped at this place. Only drove by. Yesterday a few friends wanted to stop by and eat. I'm glad I did. The tamales were very good, very big and very filling. The refried beans were perfect. My girlfriend ordered cheese enchilada and a tamale. I didn't get to try the enchiladas, but she said they were very good. Our waitress was friendly and kept our drinks, chips and salsa full. The restaurant was clean though not crowded. We got there around 3 pm on a Saturday. I will definitely be going back.

The best queso in town! We had Cindy as our waitress and she is absolutely amazing! She is very sweet, and kept checking up on us to make sure everything was good. My belly is satisfied!

From the food to the service you can’t go wrong at Del Norte! This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. The margs make even a bad day seem like a good one. Bonus they make the chips in house! Highly recommend Enchiladas especially the Roosevelt Dinner and Ana’s dip!

Stopped by this old school Fort Worth Mexican restaurant for the first time in forever so I could try the puffy tacos. I was not disappointed. They were really good. A little different texture than what I was expecting, but that wasn't really a bad thing. I will say they were a little pricey for 2 tacos, but as a treat that is hard to find around here, I looked past the price. The chips and salsa were solid too. My service was fantastic (fast and friendly). It had been too long since I had visited - I'll be back soon.

Fantastic place! Really the only restaurant I go to for Mexican or Tex-mex any more. The chips and salsa are great, the enchiladas are always delicious, and the chicken is grilled to perfection! The new location is very pleasant!

My wife and I had lunch at the Original Mexican Eats Cafe about a week ago for the first time. We were blown away by the quality of the food as well as the service. It was simply fantastic! We couldn’t stop raving about them the entire time. We will be returning here soon and I do mean very soon!!!

I learned why they call this establishment The Original Mexican Eats place, it because of the authentic recipes and mouth watering taste (spicy too! More aqua por favor). We sort of stumbled upon it after spending a day in the Fort Worth Stock Yards (a must if you have a few days! And if the timings right, you can watch a real cattle drive - yeehaa!) It is a short drive from the area. To David, our waiter, and to all the supportive staff, I'm so glad we experienced The Original! TexMex cuisine at it's finest! And very rea$onable too! Muchas gracias! 😁
