Wow. Wow. Wow. Was not expecting the food to be so fresh and amazing! Got the chubby fries and as a starter and swear I wanted to lick the plate! Fresh cut fries smothered and covered! Then I got the B.O.B the smoked bologna sandwich on Texas toast and it was melt in your mouth! All entrees come with free self serve beans that I have to say gave my Granny's a run for their money! The Owner also was walk about making sure everyone was happy and full! Good ole school service! You bet I'll be back!
I really enjoy chubby's relaxed and the burgers are dry good. I like the new location across the street from fort worth cycle and fitness. Also enjoyed the patio. I will return.As constructive criticism I'd say they need to clean the tables better and more often and add craft beers.
Great meat, but green chiles aren't very flavorful and tomatoes are never ripe. They need craft beer too!
Things we learned on our first visit:
An order of onion rings is huge. As long as you aren't a football player, or a college freshman, you can split.
The ranch is delicious.
Great Burgers. Wonderful westside experience. On par with Kincaid's and Tommy"s. Maybe better than Tommy's.
Wait staff were very professional and courteous.
Wide selection of burgers. The cowboy burger is my favorite as is the BLT on texas Toast(FOUR STARS).
Best homemade Chips around.

Tasty. Rustic place to say the least. Great tasty burger yet not greasy as I expected. Cute, friendly staff. this was a pleasant surprise find. One of the top 3 burger spots I've found so far in Fort Worth.
Great Burger. This place has a small town feel. First we Ordered an Appertizer combo of Fried Cheese, Peppers and pickles. Ok the Fried Cheese seems to be home made and delicious. However the Pickles and Peppers a clumpy Greasy MESS. For the Burger I chose the Green Chili Burger and Yes I can have it Med Rare Yeah!!!. I love the Condiment bar so I loaded up on Jalapeno's and Onions and enjoyed my unbelievable ice cold beer. The schooners are some of the coldest in town. The burger was cooked perfect and tasted Great. I will definitely be back again soon!! If you are on the West side of Fort Worth Give it a try! The burger is great the beer is cold and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for. Oh and when it is not smoldering hot outside it looks like they have a great patio with music!
Greatness!. Right close to my house, so it's a standard fall back place to eat. Great, greasy, goodness, burgers. Try the fried pickles or fresh made potato chips rather than the fries. Super cheap!

Hard to beat. Don't be afraid to veer off the burger path. I recently went and had a Cajun Chicken Salad. So tasty! Tons of chicken, bacon and cheese. Especially great with the ranch dressing and purple onions from the topping bar.
Top 10. Excellent greasy burger. The fries are par - skip them and go for fried pickles, or even better: fried jalepenos.

Absolutely love the vibe of this place! I've only been here twice and will be a repeat customer. I haven't even ate a burger here but had such a great time enjoying some beer with apetizers. I ride a Harley and this place is a great stop a long day of riding!
I have heard of this place so my wife and I went almost left cause we couldn't find a parking spot but I'm glad we went seriously I think that was the best burger I have ever eaten I could kick myself for being lazy wow I think they put something illegal in them it was awesome .
Had the Not-So-Chubby with cheddar and grilled onions and mushrooms. Heavenly, greasy goodness! And the onion rings are in beer batter, which I don't usually care for, but these were crisp enough to do the justice. And very pleasant folksy guitar music out on the patio, which was unexpected for lunch on a Saturday, but I enjoyed it. The BF thought it was a little loud.
Awesome! The burgers are to die for! The onion rings are the best I have had. Ample portions and great atmosphere. $3 schooners too!! I love it!!!

Best Burger and Fried Chips in Town. My wife had a mushroom Swiss burger and I had a bacon chubby burger, all I can say is that this is burger nirvana the meat was very flavorful and my wife's mushroom and Swiss was chock-full of shrooms and Swiss. My bacon burger has plenty of pork and the meat was cooked just as I ordered medium rare. The chip fries were delicious and we could have eaten three orders.
This is a no frills place with courteous service clean bathrooms and ample parking. Plenty of beer to choose from and they have an outside patio.
The only draw back is the smokers linger right outside the door and every time some one opens the door plumes of smoke waif into the dinning area. Maybe the management can enforce the 25 feet rule or provide a bench off to the side or have a designated smoking area for these people who insist ruining some one else's dinner

Hard to beat. I'd like to stat that I am a regular at CHUBBY'S for the past 8 months or so, so I am a little biased.... but you don't become a regular somewhere if the food and atmosphere aren't great. As with any food establishment you are going to like some things and not like others...parking at Chubby's is less than desirable but its worth the walk (hell I need the exercise) I have had to wait for a waitress to see me but only because this place is doing so well that they are having obvious growing pains. Keep in mind that the name says it all Chubby's Burger SHACK this aint 'la Madeline, Chillis or any other chain ......this is a Fort Worth hole in the wall that makes the best damn Juicy not greasy Burger and some of the best sides around! So if you like down home cooking........., talking sports, politcs,wheather, history or anything inbetween come to Chubby's where the owners who are almost always there will make you feel right at home. If you are an oppininated outspoken person looking for attention and likes to complain then do the rest of us Chubby Fans a favor and keep your oppinions to your self!

Fantastic food @ a great price!!!!. My wife and I have been on a kick to find new burger joints around town. We stumbled upon Chubby's (we were actually trying to find Kincaid's)...luckily for us. We got the following:
1. - El Chubbo (1/2 lb burger with guacamole and queso)
2. - Chubby Burger (with Cheese and Bacon)
3. - Lil Chubs (4 mini cheeseburgers...for our boys) comes with onion rings, chips or fries
4. - Chubby Sampler (Fried Cheesesticks, Fried Pickles & Fried Mushrooms)
All for about $25.
The burgers are huge. The prices are some of the best around (especially for 1/2 lb burgers). Great Service. Good Location.

Best burger in town. If you get lost trying to find Chubby's...keep trying!! It's the best burger you'll EVER eat. The homemade onion rings are TO DIE FOR! As are the homemade fries, fried pickles and fried jalapenos. Chubby's is located between Cherry Lane and HWY 183, just across from ORiley Auto parts.
Good Food and a Relaxed Setting. This was my first time eating at Chubby's and I went there based on this sites reviews. I had the cowboy burger which had cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, and an onion ring. Overall the burger was good, but the BBQ sauce could have been better. It tasted like it was just KC Masterpiece. Along with the burger, I had the onion rings and that was the best part of my meal. Overall, it was a great place to get a good ole greasy burger. I would say that it was comparable to any other burgers in town.
Best burger on the west side. We loved this place. Live music (we were there on a Sat night), the burgers were very good. The burgers had great flavor, lots of cheese, and the fries were perfectly seasoned and fresh. Can't wait to go back again! Side note: parking sucks but the food makes up for it.

Great burger, good onion rings.. I've heard my wife and friends rave about this place that I finally had to try it. The Chubby with Cheese was huge! Great helpings of cheese and the veggie/condiment bar reminded me of a salad bar. Everything looked and tasted fresh, which was very pleasing. I had the onion rings with the burger and I think I'll go with the fries next time. The beer batter was just a bit too much. Maybe this batch had an extra can of beer in it. Other than that, I had a good experience and would definately go back.

Phenom!!!. I recently went around the state searching the Texas Monthly's best burgers in Texas. I tried some around the state and alot around Fort Worth. This is by far the best one in the city. I had he bbq-bacon-cheeseburger. Great hand pressed meat and their bbq sauce is incredible. Plus a 'fudruckers' type condiment/vegetable bar. Plus beer!!!

Has dethroned Dutch's as my favorite burger in town!. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was great. My wife had the cowboy burger, also great! The rings were unique and fantastic, despite being on the very greasy side.
Chubby's is a WINNER and we will definitely be back and will bring friends!
Love me some Chubby's. I really like this place. The "not so chubby" with cheese was cooked perfectly. The onion rings were light and not dripping with grease like some places. My 2 guy friends I was there with each had the Chubby burgers and shared an order of the loaded fries..tons of fries. It was AWESOME!!! Going back again today!
A HIdden Gem. My wife and I have passed by this extablishment numerous times and one day we decided to have lunch. "Chubby's Burger Shack" is a relatively new, located in the west side of the Fort Worth area. I ordered the half pound burger w/ cheese and my wife had the quarter pound chili burger, with a side of onion rings. The hamburgers and onion rings were "GREAT" and the "BEST" in the Fort Worth Area. Better than Dutch's, Mooyahs,Tommy's,M&O,etc. Reasonable prices!
AWESOME. So....Chubbys is amazing. The burgers are great....and the night time waitress is awesome. I think they should give her a raise because she does such a good job. We love Britney!....and We Love Chubbys!!!!!

The BEST BURGER OF THE WEST. Chubby's offers the best burger in the west. If I was a patty, I would go to Chubby's, just to see, hear and feel the experience. It's all worth the while. The burgers are 1/2lb and larger round than thick. The buns are over sized as well. The burgers are served open faced in a basket.
Really enjoyed the burgers here. The patty’s were flavorful without being too salty and the cornbread sticks (basically hush puppies) were a nice surprise. The single patty was perfect for lunch to not be overly full, but I’d probably get a double for dinner. Comfortable atmosphere and definitely the kind of place to meet up with or run into friends.
I wasn't aware that Chubby's is also a bar, so my review focuses solely on the food.
I was impressed with The Bob sandwich! It is one of those menu items that sounds too interesting too pass up. A thick slice of bologna topped with bacon and Texas toast. It was yummy!
I also appreciate the staff's demeanor towards two non-regulars who were not there to grab a drink.

Blue Hog burger. So delicious and filling! I could only scarf down half. Nice and Polite Waitress,Had about 4 tables and 6 bar guest and was very attentive to everyone. We were in a rush and didn't feel like it took long at all! Husband got the classic and scarfed it down and y'all THOSE FRIES ARE SP GOOD.

This place was pretty good. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. They were both great and filling. It is a bar as well the beer was cold and they also had live entertainment. My only critique would be that they were out of a few beers but that may be a supply chain issue due to COVID.

Some of the best food can be found off the beaten path. This is a lil hole in the wall that reminds of the places on that Diners, Drive-in, and Dives TV show. Its not much too look at but the food is awesome! I ordered a BLT and my husband had a cheeseburger. It was way more food for what we paid. The server was great! They also have a guy there selling REAL boil seafood (not the usual Texas fakes). I have been 2 times so far and whenever I am in West Ft. Worth I will stop in! I would add a photo, but it smelled so good, its all gone.
This place was great, the tots and burger were phenomenal! The service was quick and friendly, the social distancing rules were well in effect. We got seated and ordered right away and the food came pretty quick. There were several people at the bar, but at one point, maybe due to someone changing their order? we got two full free beers brought to the table rather than waste the pore. Super friendly, and good food, really had a great time there.
I come here on the weekends for the Crawfish. 5 pounds of crawfish. Crawfish are seasonal, call ahead to check for availability.
This was such a good experience. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The burgers are pretty big but if you have room for Queso I would suggest it. It is yummy. Also they have $3 draft beer. Worth the drive. I will definitely go back. I took my 2 kiddios and it worked out great. They loved the fries and tots. (Which were pretty good to)
Went in here looking for the crawfish next door! We ended up getting queso and chips while we waited and I had a really great burger and some of the best beans I’ve had in my life! We will definitely be back and the sever was so super friendly and attentive.
Great atmosphere and food! Definitely will be returning for more! Our server was Molli and she was very punctual and helpful. She suggested really great wing sauce flavors! And the seafood was my favorite part! 💯💯💯
What's not to love about this place, they deserve 10 stars. By far the best burger in Texas. Great service, plenty of waitresses on staff. Your glass will never be empty, the fries are awesome and got everything in a timely manor
