Dozo Izakaya - Foster City - Photo album

After deciding we were’t going to deal with crazy long lines at San Mateo, we found dine in option with Dozo. What a hidden gem! It’s a standard small mom-n-pops ran place with izakaya, sushi, sashimi and ramen choices. We ordered tempura rolls, agedashi tofu, ochazuke and deep fried soft shell cra
I’ve been here twice now and have gotten the sashimi omakase twice. 24 pieces for $58. The sushi chef does well to give a nice variety of toro, sake, and hamachi and though the fish is fresh and delicious, I don’t think the best cuts are included. Their other food is passable: the grilled pork bell
Awesome place to have fresh sashimi, Rolls, tonkotsu ramen and skewers. Quite chill atmosphere. We visit here pretty often, and the food never let us down. Recently there is a promo about lamb skewer which is a must.
Always fresh sushi and friendly staff. Omakase is the best I have had in the greater area and on par with that found in Japan (take into consideration what we have available). Uni (Japan) when available is top notch. Skewers are very tasty. Over all a great Izakaya place with a great selection of sa
I've been ordering take-out from here since the pandemic started. The quality is always consistent and flavorful. I really enjoy the selection, which is a combination of sushi and izakaya. Definitely one of my top picks when we're feeling like some Japanese comfort food
Friendly staff and wise variety of menu items, but everything but the sashimi came out sweeter than it should have, either through a sauce addition or slightly different marinades. Had an all right time, but there are plenty of other yakitori and sushi options nearby that are better quality.
Great Japanese foods here. Cozy eating place. A lot of small dishes make our meals enjoyable!
Good and fresh fish. Yummy bento boxes. I like the mini ramen or udon that they offer. Friendly service.
