Okay, so maybe a cheeseburger and fries are not the healthiest of meals, but if you're going to live, you might as well enjoy yourself. As our friends from Germany remind us, "Five Guys is the best!" Would we agree? After eating burgers in over 30 US states and more than a dozen countries (and we usually try to avoid the major chains), Five Guys ranks at the top of the major burger chains for us, and in the top dozen or so globally, in our humble opinion. If course, the overflowing Cajun fries and peanuts don't hurt the rating...
Visited Five Guys in Foster City after a long day when ash was falling from the sky and the Bay area was shrouded under a dark red sky. Place was empty and we struggled to communicate with the cashier through our masks but it might've been the best burger I've ever eaten. Also, I forgot that a big burger is two patties. Little burgers are only one but they're the same size. Ingredients were fresh and everything was perfectly cooked. My friend who'd never been there before said "Wow, this is better than In n Out." I'm a die hard In n Out fan but honestly, he's right.
Really good comfort food, generous on the fries, free toppings and add-ons on burgers and in shakes. Friendly and helpful staff.
