My family and I visited the Vox Kitchen recently and I was very impressed by their food and service. They are opening a space next door for business while remodeling the old space, which shows how popular they are. The new space has a bigger kitchen and a cozy dining area.
The food was amazing, with fresh ingredients and creative flavors. I ordered the garlic noodles with grilled shrimp, which came with a green sauce on the side. The noodles were thick and chewy, the shrimp were juicy and tender, and the sauce was tangy and spicy. It was a perfect combination of textures and tastes. The portion was generous and I was full after finishing it.
My family ordered the Saltado shaken fries house special, which was a Vox Kitchen signature dish of french fries, grilled ribeye steak, white rice, and sliced tomatoes. The fries were crispy and seasoned with herbs, the steak was tender and flavorful, the rice was fluffy and fragrant, and the tomatoes added some freshness. The dish also came with a green sauce that tasted like a chimichurri or a chermoula sauce, which added some zing and brightness to the dish. It was a hearty and satisfying meal that we all enjoyed.
We also ordered the spicy shrimp wontons, which were Chinese-inspired dumplings filled with shrimp, water chestnuts, soy sauce, spring onions, and coriander. The wontons were plump and juicy, and the spicy Sichuan sauce was savory and fiery. The dish also came with some chopped peanuts and cilantro for some crunch and freshness. It was a mouthwatering appetizer that we all loved.
We also ordered the bone-in short rib soup, which was Korean-inspired soup made with beef ribs, potatoes, enoki mushrooms, glass noodles, a slow poached egg, and green onions in a clear but flavorful broth. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the potatoes were soft and creamy, the mushrooms were delicate and earthy, the noodles were slippery and smooth, and the egg was runny and rich. The broth was light but hearty, with a hint of sweetness from the ribs. It was a warm and comforting meal that we all enjoyed.
The drinks were also good and some of them came with free refills. We tried the lychee lemonade, which was a refreshing blend of lemon juice, lychee juice, sugar, and water. It was sweet and sour, with a floral note from the lychees. It came in a tall glass with ice cubes and a slice of lemon as a garnish, which made it look very appealing.
We also tried the mango dragonfruit iced tea, which was a tropical blend of black tea, mango puree, dragonfruit puree, sugar, and water. It was fruity and refreshing, with a vibrant color from the dragonfruit. It came in a tall glass with ice cubes and a sprig of mint as a garnish, which made it look very appealing.
The service was friendly and attentive. The staff were helpful and courteous, and they checked on us frequently.
I would definitely recommend the Vox Kitchen to anyone who loves Asian fusion cuisine. They have a variety of dishes to suit different preferences, from noodles and rice to salads and wings. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. It's a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends.
