The salad bar is not the same less items to choose from and super expensive at 16.00 for soup and salad. Better variety at Chinese foods buffet nearby. My mom ordered a steak meal well done and the steak was dried and burn Oh well I guess not worth $23.99 for something that I don't like

We must not forget about Marie Callender's pies when searching for a consistently great tasting pie from your childhood memories! My favorite pie is the no-sugar added Razzleberry pie, as I would like to feel a little less guilty when consuming a huge slice! We took the pie to-go, but the restaurant was busy, and there was a great energy and buzz with all the customers coming in and out. My all-time favorite cornbread is made by Marie Callender's, and I will even buy the mix and make it at home. Classic flavors and hearty meals await you at Marie Callender's, in Fountain Valley.

The “pot pie” is amazing. There was a time that I thought their frozen Chicken and Turkey pot pies were the best from the supermarket, THEN I had one from the restaurant … and I was spoiled. Yes, the frozen ones are still the best frozen ones, but the fresh ones are, if I had to use one word absolutely AMAZING! If you have ever had a fruit or cream pie from them, then you know. If you haven’t, do yourself a favor, go out of your way if need be, it WILL be worth it. What ever you do, stay away from the “FRESH” strawberry or peach when they are in season… they can be very addictive.

We love their salad bar! The service was great. And we had to bring home a couple of delicious pies from the bakery!

We live in Reno, NV and no longer have a Marie Calendar's, so this was a treat. As always, Marie Calendar's never disappoints. Same classic recipes that calm and comfort. They haven't gone crazy with the price hikes either. Wife and I shared a corn bread and chicken pot pie. She also had a side salad. I had a coke zero and she just had water to drink. I had a banana cream pie slice and she had a chocolate satin slice. With taxes in Orange County the bill was just under $40. With a decent tip the total was an even $50. I wish we would have gone here more this last week as we've paid way more for less quality but "trendy" food. They even have the whole fruit pies and cheesecakes for only $12. At the quality that their pies are and prices today my wife and I both expected the pies to be around $20. Don't sleep on Marie's recipes and quality and quantity... They are still such a great deal. They also serve extremely comforting food that takes you back to when you first had their, our your grandma's, food. Really wish we still had a location close to Reno but until next time, Marie... We'll have the memories.

Came to get pies on Thanksgiving morning - forgot to order online so was stressed out a bit. Saw lines are organized with clearly marked colored tapes and signs. Employees are all friendly - from the person who greeted at line to update what pies were available, the person at door, cashiers, to pie packing and person in back they were all courteous and cheerful on a busy day. Thanks for a good experience. Pie was good - first time trying cherry pie and Kaluah cream pie since apple pies were long gone. Good job Marie Calendar staff!

Service and food was wonderful for a 1st time experience. I mostly enjoyed that distance away from other patrons was taken into consideration. But the food was great!

I visited the Marie Callender's near Balboa . I enjoyed my burger immensely ! I used to go to the Sherman Oaks restaurant regularly. I'm so disappointed that they closed it down !

Food is okay but their pies definitely make up for it. Best Banana Cream Pie I've ever had! So sad they closed their location in San Antonio a few years back. Now, it's my place to stop for pie when I visit CA.

If there were more stars to give for the service, I would. The staff was friendly, yet professionally so, allowing us to enjoy the food and our private conversation without interjecting themselves into it. Our food server kept a watchful eye on our progress and appeared when we would need her. The manager himself dropped by our table to ensure that we were having a positive experience. Took home a whole cream cheese pie, since too full for dessert. My only suggestion is for MC corporate entity to launch a complete overhaul of its restaurant interiors.

The Marie Callender's Fountain Valley location is the place to go for a blast-to-the-past wonderful experience of the delicious food that Marie Callender's has been known for over the years. The owner/manager, Laura, has been at this same location for 39 years, and she has maintained the highest standards of food quality and taste of the famous original recipes that we have come to love that is almost impossible to experience anymore! The difference between this location and other Marie Callender's locations AND other restaurants in general, is that you can taste the freshness and care that makes your dining experience go from good to fantastic! 😀 I suggest you run, not walk, to this location for a truly wonderful dining experience. Also, during this month of February, they have their famous whole pie sale! 🥧

This place has the perfect taste of home with even better service! My server Brandon was attentive and helpful, while also being very friendly to everyone in the restaurant, even knowing the regulars by name. You could tell there was a very strong sense of community here. The food was absolutely fantastic and came out extremely quick but still hot and fresh. Even if your family is not from the greater countryside area of the US, the decor and phenomenal food will remind you of your mothers good Ol fashioned home cooking. Great food, fantastic service, and a fair price makes this definitely worth checking out.
