Hadn't been at Mimi's for a long time, after a hospital visit we ended up here.
The food was delicious, the service was very nice and the atmosphere actually hadn't changed in all those years.
It looked clean and well kept. The nice part is that they serve cocktails, so you can hang out at the bar, waiting for the food to be served. I was driving, so I opted for a cappuccino, the best I ever had, almost like a soup bowl full, yummy.
We will definitely come back, we rediscovered Mimi's again. By the way the onion soup is delicious ๐
1st time back in years. To our surprise, food was good. Here's critique:
1) Crab Cakes:
3 generous patties on greens. Tasty ๐ ( my personal preference is crab chunks. No big deal.)
2) French Onion Soup:
Passible. However, it arrived w/ tepid soup. The crock itself was hot. Brought it to server attention. I didn't want to send it back. I later found hot soup at crock bottom.
3) Beef Stew:
Very good ๐๐๐. Was allowed to sub pasta for mashed potatoes. However, again, top/one side of food was barely warm. Again, as I ate, found bottom half was still nice & hot. Notified server again. And didn't want to send food back to kitchen.
Thinking food temp was kitchen's fault, gave server $20 tip on $45 bill. On way out, I realized I could've been wrong. Saw server socializing w/bartender at the bar. Could it be while socializing going on, my food was under lights waiting to be served? ๐ค๐ฅบ๐.
Thank you for the great service, Emma! You are very helpful and welcoming. The environment is very peaceful. The food was very delicious. All felt and tasted freshly made. The orange juice has a very natural flavor. I look forward to going back.
Plenty of food options to chose from! Veterans Day discount is one of the best I have ever seen. Service was exceptional. Wish more vegetarian options but the apple crepes were a delight. Others at the table claimed to have had the most amazing Benedicts they have ever had!! Mimiโs is great for everyone
Love coming to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast in the morning with my friends. I enjoy the atmosphere of this place. They have the best Food & Drinks. Loved the Food here and great Mimosas too. Just want to say Luis is an amazing, wonderful Cheff he serve us very kind and love his customer service and Smile too. He made sure if we needed anything else we appreciate it. By the way thanks Emma & Martha I think that's her name for great customer service. We appreciate your service too. Both were nice and kind. Jesus also was there to making sure we were ok i appreciate that too. Thank Again!
Christmas ๐ breakfast with 7 ladies. William was the best server ever. Very helpful and treated us all like family. We will now be making this our location for our annual Christmas breakfast because of the service we received at this location. Food was delicious. Coffee was amazing. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.

Food was really great and had perfect sizes for each plate not so big that one person canโt eat it alone but also not small that it doesnโt feed a child. People working here were very friendly and happy to help. Fast to serve food, didnโt take more than 7-10 minutes to get our whole order. Atmosphere was pretty good nobody was loud and the music was set on a decent volume which wasnโt distracting or too loud you canโt hear the people around you. Overall Iโd give this restaurant a go if you havenโt tried it yet. 8.5/10 ๐๐ป

Food is usually good here. Some changes in the serving staff need some training though. Overall a decent experience.
Very calming place. The food was delicious especially the spinach dip and the chicken Parm and the server was the best not only did she attend to my gf and I but she also attended other people's tables making sure everyone was comfortable and took orders and served it effectively. I will come back to experience this again. Thank you Emma
Brunch was nice, we had a large group and the took care of us and made us feel comfortable.
Great choices of fish and beef. Meals are large enough to take some home for later. Bar and happy hour options. Horderves..like grilled artichokes..soo good.
William is a wonderful godly man who served us. I ordered is favorite breakfast bowl. It was very satisfying.
Had Quiche Lorraine, French Pot Roast, and Salmon. We all enjoyed the food. A pet peeve is when I have ice tea and when they fill the glass (finally) only with tea. It's called ice tea for a reason. We have eaten there several times, this time there seemed to be a party in the back. So, the side was pretty full, and NOISY.
Very good good my waiter was very nice he fed my cousins some dirt worms the food was good I went with my family love this place next time I go up to Santa ana definitely going there again
