My family and friends have always loved this place! We went there last Friday night for dinner it was busy first time we've ever had to wait for a table. The community is really showing its love for this place. I hope they find a new location soon!

Best place ever! Been coming here for decades. Look past the decor and you will love the food. They always know my order without asking without fail.

Best little Mongolian BBQ anywhere. They now must relocate as their landlord is tearing down their building. We'll be there when they reopen

The food is all that matters. I seem to remember Mongolian BBQ joints popping up around the same time as fondue places (the first time). THe fondue places all died off, were forgotten and now have made a retro revival. Time will only tell about them.

But a lot of the Mongolian BBQ places quietly kept going for the last 35-40 years. This place is one of those. I was last here almost 30 years ago and upon walking in a rush of memories came back to me. It was exactly the same place. Nothing has been changed or as noted below painted in all that time. It is freakin time warp.

So as the other review says, do not bring your snotty friends here. The place is worn and drab and a little underlit. Do not ask for advice on the 4 bottles of wine and just hope they remembered to put one of the whites in the cooler. Do not be overly needy in your requests to the overworked waitresses. This is DIY dining and they will barely have time to take your order when the place is busy. If this just sounds unappealing to you then move along.

The place remains popular for one and only reason - it offers a lot of fresh food cheap. You know the food is fresh because you put it in its uncooked form right in your bowl and then watch it cooked up for you. Then you take your stir fried concoction (and that's what it is - an inverted shallow wok and nothing to do with BBQ) and have it over rice or stuffed into the sesame dotted pocket breads that are served up warm to your table. The menu is pretty basic - do you want all you can eat or just one time through the line and what appetizers if any do you want with it. That's it. Simple and satisfying and all in room that looks like a set piece from a Cohen Bros. movie

Well-worn Mongolian BBQ, value, taste can't be beat. Super casual, fun, cheap, tasty. Of course, it's called Genghis Khan, like so many other Mongolian BBQ places, but this one has been around for years. I've gone there for at least 20. They have an all-you-can-eat selection for around $10 if you can believe it! I find the flavors here to be the best...try the sherry for that special touch when you spoon up ; ) It's dearly in need of a paint job inside but the place is a classic and the food's great. Don't bring your truly snooty friends here, you'll never hear the end...but go and enjoy and have a plum wine or tall Sapporo to top it off.

Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ, what brought myself, my brother and my cousin here was last weekend we went to Main Place Mall and we had Great Khan's from the food court, and my brother said we should try out Mongolian BBQ he used to eat along time ago. My cousin Christian has never tried Mongolian, and for myself I have never tried this restaurant. Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ had the Chinese look to it, a worn/faded out wood panels surrounded the outside of the building. On a side note I really love the picture above, as it looks likes it was an epic venture to get to our destination, I just see that as I am typing away, please excuse my imagination! Back to the point, the moment you walk in, its at first a dark atmosphere, with a medium sized fish tank on the left with a decent size goldfish. Just in front of your is a small desk with someone there to greet you and send you to your table. When you take the first right into the restaurant, its got a old fashione

We've been going there for 30 years. My son came home for a visit, so we went there to recapture the memories. We ate there all the time when the kids were growing up. It was better than ever! Other families with generations of diners were making memories also. The food is healthy and delicious. The servers are polite and attentive.

One of my favorite places in Orange County. The food is wonderful, the staff are so sweet and nice. It's all around just a consistently wonderful and fun place. They also recently added noodles which was the one thing they were missing and now they are perfect! I can't overstate how much I love this place!

Amazing hole in the wall find. The interior could use a bit of a remodel, but the food is yummy and the price is right. The 2 gals that own this place are extremely sweet. Love the new noodles that you can add instead of rice!

It was my first time! It was delicious. The lunch special is a great value for what you get. The food is delicious. It would have gotten 5 stars except that the decor could use some rehab.

Yes, the decor is just crazy bad from the 70s. Yes, the place looks like it should be condemned. BUT you have to get past that, count it as part of the charm, and try it. I have been coming here for 30 years. The dinner is excellent, with fresh ingredients. We have been to over 30 other Mongolian BBQ resturants on our travels to other states, and NONE of them are as good. Especially the pocket biscuits. No one makes as good a pocket biscuit as this place. Its weird how no other place can do them as well.

I have been coming here since high school and still love it. All you can eat is so cheep. Great meat options as well as great quality. Service is amazing. Its dark and unassuming, but the food speaks wonders. Definately a must try.

Beyond good! Friendly staff that always sits you and offers egg drop soup for free! Normally i just get water and the all you can eat. If you like Beef, Lamp, Pork, & Chicken then you should really come here. A little tip is to get 2 bowls (even though they dont like it) and pack as much as you can into just 1 bowl. Get the pocket bread and enjoy a really nice dinner. Wouldn't recommend if its like a wedding night or something really nice. But perfect for a date or casual dinner / lunch.

First I want to say the best thing about the restaurant is without a doubt there amazing food, I have been coming with my girlfriend for about a year, even tho we moved several miles away the drive is worth it. The staff is friendly and welcoming, I've never had to wait to eat and I will continue to come back for a long time.

Mongolian BBQ has been a lifelong family favorite for me. We usually go here for everyone's birthday dinner! The ambience at seem a little "old lace", but the family that runs it are great at what they do with good, quick, friendly service & great food ;P

This is the best Mongolian BBQ I have been to and I have been to many. I have been a regular there for nearly 20 years. Basically, Mongolian BBQ you grab a bowl, choose meats (beef, poultry, pork) then veggies and sauce. Then it is cooked in front of you. One can make it however you like it, sweet, spicy, etc.

Good quality but limited selection of food. And only one sauce to choose from (which comes in Mild, Medium, Spicy). Hint... grab a full ladle of the chopped garlic including the liquid in order to kick things up a notch.

I went last night for my first time... I got the most expensive All You Can Eat they had which was $12.50.... Probably didn't need to buy that option but... Worth every penny.... Can't wait to go back again...

I used to not like this location as much because they didn't have noodles, but they have started adding them as an add on for a little over a dollar or I believe you get one plate fee if you get the all you can eat option.

The décor has probably seen better days, but the food and service are top notch. For a great, inexpensive meal, this is a good choice.

This place always treats you like part of the family, which is why I found it strange when they brought me the check. Best Mongolian BBQ in Southern California.
