The food is really good. It’s a cute Italian family style place. It’s clean and comfy. I highly recommend the garlic bread with cheese. The price is right and the portions are perfect. Two members of our group got the chicken parm and said it was great. Kelly was our server and she was amazing, attentive, and super nice.
Being from Franklin the Rome has been around for ages! And I have to say they're doing a really good job keeping up with things. They certainly have changed and many of us that have been going there since we were babies talk about it. But the bottom line is they make really good Italian food!
We went there for lunch and had excellent service! The waitress was beyond fabulous. Not sure how long she's been serving there but she was really good for the Rome and for our luncheon. All the food came out hot, ready to eat and was really delicious!

Absolutely delicious food! I do have to say that sometimes it feels like the servers are a bit overwhelmed and could use some more help. (We have gone in at least once a month.)
The Rome Restaurant is the perfect small town Italian family run dining and drinking oasis. The best pizza within a 50 mile radius. Daily specials. Food is delicious, portions are huge. Bartender Karen, is warm and welcoming and will never leave your glass empty. Bar area is loud and lively. This is the perfect place to meet family or friends for a bite and a drink.
The gluten free pizza with pepper and tomato was very good, but I would have preferred getting what I ordered, pepper and onion. When I told the waitress, she argued with me!! I do NOT like hot tomato slices and would never order it. The same waitress made a mistake with the pizza order next to us. That said - I would definitely go here again but next time I will send my pizza back if I don't get what I like and what I ordered.
Had the cheesy Lasagna with meatball. Took it to go. Waited 15 minutes and had a glass of wine in the bar. The host and bartenders seemed like they did not want to be there. The kitchen folks were great. I am a canoli maniac, so I added one to my order. Crazy Delicious! Truly one of the better I've ever had. The restraunt had some charm, but the whole place could use some updating, especially the lounge.
Absolutely delicious! I’ve loved coming here for as long as I can remember and they never disappoint. Staff makes you feel like family. One of the best hometown restaurants in the area by far!! Thank you for a great time!
