Personally, this place provides the best sushi for the price. The fish cuts are thick and the sashimi is served at perfect temperature (eat in my car). Definitely a stop by when you need a proper sushi fix.
I saw a few recent negative comments that were unfairly written. It's COVID time, it's difficult for restaurants to revamp hiring, be more understanding. I have tried 10+ sushi places around the area, I don't think you can have better.
Delicious take-out during the pandemic! The sashimi is pretty fresh! The rolls are very delicious!!! The price is reasonable (Bay Area price)! Highly recommend it if you crave for sushi / sashimi / Japanese food like me!!!
We ordered 5 rolls with one assorted sashimi for 4 people, about $25 per person!!!
Om nom nom... I used to come here quite often, but I've found a new place I'm loyal to because the quality is equal but it is closer to me. The food here is still great and the prices are what you'd expect from a sushi place :'). Service is nice too! I don't have any pics of sushi from here, but I do have a pic of chicken katsu I got a while ago. For my fellow people with allergies: make sure you ask about what oil they cook with and make sure they aren't garnishing with something that can asphyxiate you. I once ordered chicken katsu and didn't ask for no sesame, so when I got it the rice on the side was covered with it. Don't forget!!
We enjoyed our meal at Satomi. At first glance we were a little disappointed in the number of pieces of the rolls, but the actual size of each piece is larger than most rolls we've had. As a bonus they gave us a bowl of tofu for our one year old. The Philly roll was super creamy and tasty.
I've been going to Satomi when it was just a small intimate place where it felt like it sat 30 people. I'm happy to see their success. They have fresh food, great selection, prompt and great customer service. I've been a fan from the first time I went there and will continue going. Make sure to try the Greg Roll when you go, by far my most favorite dish there.
The red miso soup had excellent tofu - definitely NOT supermarket bought - a great first impression. I ordered the Chirashi which came out to $23.98 after tax. The portions were huge - 19 pieces of fish, enough for two people, but no tamago yaki. The freshness was pretty good, probably due to good turnover at this restaurant. The waitresses were quickly moving from table to table like busy bees. Unfortunately, they gave me the same wrong bill, three times in a row 8^p. Overall, even though a bit expensive, it's actually a good value at 4.5 stars, considering the portions and attention to quality (it appears to be a Korean-run restaurant). I will be back to try their sashimi and nigiri.
