Stopped in here on a Friday night. Very busy but the staff was getting people seated and waited on very quickly. The lower dining area is for groups with minors and is a “wait to be seated” area. The upper area is the bar area and is seat yourself. Friday they do Prime Rib and Chicken Pot Pie. I tried the prime rib and my wife had the French dip. Both were good. I will try the pot pie on my next visit. This place is right in downtown and close to the ferry.
Edit. As I said close to the ferry so we had lunch here just before we left. Not as crowded for lunch on a Sunday as it was Friday for dinner. Everything still delicious. My wife had the Nachos and I was able to try the pot pie which did not disappoint. This place is a must stop for local food and atmosphere.
Fantastic staff, very friendly and accommodating. I stopped in for a quick bite while I was waiting for the Friday Harbor ferry and was not disappointed! It was only a short walk from the ferry line, and one of the few places still open at 5:30pm on a Thursday. Someone recommended I try a salad here and it was truly amazing! I got the Cobb salad and it was loaded with veggies and meats, could have probably fed two people, the blue cheese dressing was super tasty as well! I will definitely be stopping in again when I’m in this area next. ❤️
Absolutely amazing restaurant! Food of many kinds- I had the Greek salad, and despite almost always getting salads at restaurants, this place has by far the best salad I've ever had. The waitresses were both really nice, and the lemonade was great. Family-friendly restaurant that I will most definitely be recommending to my friends if they ever happen to be visiting the San Juan islands.
Local tavern just a few minutes walk from the Friday Harbor ferry terminal in the main corridor, Spring street; very friendly service; good bar food; frequented by locals & tourists alike; good beer selection on tap; perhaps a bit pricey for bar food even if it was good; interior could've been cleaner, felt sticky with fruit flies; overall good, local vibe, recommended. Support your local small businesses & restaurants 👍
Overall not bad. But nothing special. Came in with a group of 7 to have dinner. Food was good but not superb. Essentially what you would expect from a bar and grill.
We ordered:
- chicken wings - dish was amazing, crispy and chicken was juicy.
- jalapeño popers- good crunch, and cheesy inside, jalapeño are canned but if you can’t tell it’s not a big deal. Decent side dish
- chicken wrap - light and overall not bad but nothing special
- Acapulco bacon avocado burger - good combo, and good balance
- clam chowder - I tried it but did not like the balance of flavors so I didn’t order it. But I have sophisticated taste so judge accordingly
- Pork sliders- ok, nothing special. Meat was dry and chewy 4/10
- chili was really good
- Spicy sriracha pulled pork sandwich - good balance with kick of flavors
The food I ordered was good, other things that others got (eg. wraps) not so good. The house made tartar sauce was especially good.
This is the first restaurant I’ve visited since arriving to Friday Harbor. The customer service is good, the cocktails are strong and the food is delicious! My son who is a picky eater cleaned his plate of chicken tenders and fries lol! It’s a laid back type of spot, there’s a bar area and a dinning room area separated so that people with kids can dine. All in all it’s a nice spot and the prices are reasonable.
I have tried to find a cob salad as good as this one off island. No luck. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere.
We came here for a late lunch based on a recommendation. Good service and good food! We both got the classic cheeseburger with tater tots, and we also tried the crab tater tots (they are not on the menu). They make a good margarita too!
Stopped in to get dinner to go. Order was made quickly and hot. The chicken bacon wrap was very tasty. The fries were seasoned just perfectly. Ceaser salad was great. The sliders made for a wonderful kids meal for my daughter. Super friendly service too
