Love this place! Food is excellent!! Staff is great! Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. Moving to Texas from NYC Reggae Pit Stop is the best we've had since Brooklyn. The oxtails and ackee are a must have! Bring your appetite.
This was our (my husband and I) second time coming. The food is delicious! The customer service is awesome. The man that waited on us, he may have been one of the owners, was very pleasant, helpful, and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. The food is consistent in its goodness. My husband got jerk chicken, yellow rice, and cabbage and I got oxtail stew, white rice, and cabbage. We also got the fish cakes. Superb!!! The man came back and checked on us and asked us how our food was and we told him it was great. I did have a suggestion as far as the fish cakes and he sat down to listen. I suggested they add a sauce for it and he smiled and said they had been working on a pineapple sauce to go with it. It was awesome to see how receptive he was to feedback. I have nothing bad to say about Reggae Pit Stop. We WILL be back!!!
Very good!! This is a welcomed addition to this area. A group of my sorority sisters decided to come try it out. There were a few people there when we arrived and several coming in & out for to-go orders. We had about 12 people in our group. The staff & owners were very accommodating and allowed us to move tables together.
Between the 12 of us we offered the fried wings with jerk flavor, oxtails, jerk chicken, jerk chicken tacos, salmon, and burger with sides of rice, cabbage, and mac&cheese. I had the oxtails and they were delicious and very flavorful. The cabbage was also very good but the rice didn't have much flavor alone. I mixed it up with the juices from my oxtails and enjoyed it that way. I heard the mac&cheese was very good as well. I didn't hear any complaints besides what I mentioned about the rice. The chef came out and talked to us & thanked us for coming. He gave us a bit of background about the restaurant as well. I think this place will be great in this location. Many will be introduced to food they've never had before!! I'll definitely be back. They've only been open 3 weeks and working to make things great. I look forward to trying the dessert on my next visit.
I enjoy eating lunch here. They open promptly and the food is always fresh. Oxtails is my go to dish. I really enjoy the flavor and cut of meat. They recently did a catering order for me and it turned out amazing. I would definitely try them out if your in the Frisco area for lunch or dinner.
We tried the oxtails with yellow rice and the chicken curry with mac and cheese and rice and peas. Everything was delicious. We also had the fried dumplings, they were made to order and very good!
I've been here twice, today I had jerk chicken with cabbage and a side of plantain. The employees were friendly, my order wasn't accurate, however, they quickly replaced it with the correct item. The chicken wasn't spicy at all. My husband said the ox tails were pretty tasty. I will definitely give this place another try.
We love this new Jamaican hot spot. It’s chic, clean and the food is delish. Great location across from upinspired kitchen in Frisco and friendly caring staff.
A must see and eat for foodie with Good vibes.
