It was our first time at Matador Cantina and it was great. The food was pretty tasty and the drink ordered was yummy. They need an update on their actual plates and cutlery. I was expecting a colorful dish but it looked plain. The food was bomb but just looked too plain on white plates. Just an idea��
My girl friend and I wanted to do some hiking and found the Fullerton loop .. well ..we got lost on the loop .. did a bunch of extra steps and we were starving! Did a quick Yelp look for a place for tacos and a Margarita.. Matadors.. Ong ! Best Margaritas and tacos ! We are bringing our husbands back this weekend for dinner ..we always enjoy finding a new place that has really good food .,!
What an outstanding experience. Family brunch with little ones. Service was spot on and the food was even better. I had the not-your-usual-carnitas and it was amazing. We will definitely be back.
Amazing carne asada tacos and margarita. I definitely will be back and chef Alfredo was attentive, warm, charming and made sure our dining experience was amazing. Great job Chef!!
The placed was packed yesterday for Taco � Tuesday. We sat at the bar because of the 45 minute wait. But, it was a great choice, our bartenders were very friendly and we got great service! The tacos were delicious—our favorite were the carne asada and el pastore. The drinks are very refreshing as well! �
Went on taco Tuesday to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were seated right away for a party of four. Immediately got complimentary chips and salsa for the table and ordered tacos. The tacos were all great especially the Tacos de Birria! Must have those tacos if you come. Server was very attentive and even gave my wife a complimentary dessert for her birthday and the place was very nice and clean. Somewhat busy but overall great service and experience that is always the reason for us to return again on the future and will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.
OMG!! It was my boyfriend and I very first time there.. All I can say is that the food was AMAZING!! The Pastor Tacos were amazing the meat was juicy had lots of flavor best pastor I ever had I give them 2 thumbs up my #1 choose of meat there.. then I got the Carnitas tacos now those had flavor they were on point with the seasoning , juicy, melt in ur mouth.I would buy those again in a heart beat. And then for desert I got a strawberry flan but if your not a flan person the it would wou change your mind I did OMG my mouth is watering thinking of it.. and it was FREE for being our first time there. I do recommend you going and try it.

The place is kinda kid friendly but not exactly the most kid friendly. They have crayons and a small booklet for kids.
In terms of food, the chips and salsa were amazing. Their spicy sauce is pretty good too.
Their traditional burrito with 1/2 and 1/2 red and green sauce respectively were good. I prefer the green to the red though.
The enchiladas were delicious. Definitely visiting again!!
Service can be slow as they are busy.
I've got 3 words. FIRE TACO TUESDAY. finally a taco Tuesday place that vegans and meat eaters can celebrate together at. Cocktails are small but fairly potent. Definitely going back!!
I love coming here on taco Tuesday for the specials. I loved the al pastor with pineapple, carne asada, chorizo with potato, chicken, and shrimp tacos. The drinks are good and so are the chips and salsa. The restaurant turns into a nightclub late at night so just be mindful that the music is loud, but I love this place.

Twenty dollar cover charge and twelve dollar tall boy modelo cans. Experience was vibrant and pleasuring.
Brunch service was quick. Fiesta breakfast bowl was very filling and flavorful. Can ask for both soyrizo and mushrooms. Wet burrito was MASSIVE! Mole was pretty good.
I'm not one to be crazy about a bar type atmosphere but this place had a mixture of a bar type and a family diner and the food was amazing. The service was among the best of places I have been, they brought out a sample of all three different salsas when I asked about them.
I was curious about this place. Drinks were good, but I thought the dessert drinks were delicious. The burritos were packed and filling. I think I need to try the tacos next time.
