Very nice family restaurant. Friendly staff. Lot of parking and a Ralph’s store a few doors down. I had the pesto Salmon and it was excellent. Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday. I also got the coconut crème pie and took it home - so good. Great place for kids.

As far as breakfast fare is concerned, not bad. It's a decent spot for breakfast. Certainly the food was prepared correctly, and our server - although it was there first week, did an excellent job and provided attentive and friendly service. Incidentally, it seemed as if the landscaping was recently redone and careful attention was paid to the bear themed decor. I thought some of the dad joke puns associated with bear statues were wonderful :-)

On Wednesday November 29 2023, I had the pleasure of dining at Black Bear dinner in Fullerton. The restaurant was absolutely stunning and exuded a festive atmosphere that I truly adored, as I am a big fan of Christmas. The decorations were done in such a lovely way. Moreover, the food at Black Beadiner was absolutely amazing. Every dish I tried was delicious and satisfying. I was especially impressed with the exceptional service provided by Maria, my server. She went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. I want to extend my gratitude to Maria for her outstanding service. Thank you for going the extra mile and making my visit truly memorable.

Always like black bear. Hope it can get better. I go back this weekend but the hash browns are obviously over cooked. They should get better.

It’s quite a long wait if you go at lunch time but small group gets in pretty quickly. The service time was also a bit slow in the rush hours. Food was amazing and suits the term “comfort food”. Spacious parking lot. The ice cream is delicious!

This diner is amazing! The atmosphere is super cute and I love how comfortable it felt while I was there. The food, especially the pancakes, were delicious and served hot. I’m so glad I stopped by here and I can’t thank the staff enough for their service especially Silvia! She always made sure my coffee was full and if I needed anything else for my breakfast.

Went for breakfast, place is a fun bear country style place. The waitress we had was unattentive and slow. I honestly expected her to apologize for us. Waiting almost 15 minutes for her to show up, but she did not. And for the more, she was a little short and rude. But I got over it because I was hungry. I haven't been there in such a long time. I used to always have Tiffany service, which was amazing. Overall, breakfast was good

Before I get into the food, I think it's important to mention the fantastic atmosphere of the restaurant. Everything, from the outside decorations to the menus, gives the impression that you are dining at a small cabin diner in the woods. The food itself was delicious. On this particular occasion, I had the volcano breakfast, while my friend had the mini volcano. Everything was delicious and fresh. The pancakes were fluffy and sweet, and the eggs and hash browns were generously seasoned. The sausages and bacon, on the other hand, were the stars of the show. Both were delicious, but the bacon was especially so. Unlike what other restaurants serve for breakfast, the slices were thick, crispy and not greasy. Overall, one of the best breakfasts in orange county.

Cristina was by far one of the best severs that has served us here. Maria cashier also helped us while checking out, she was so pleasant! Great food. Great service. Thank you Black bear!

I wanted to get the country fried steak. Every dish contains some porcine product. Its gravy contains pork or lard. There's no point in eating a country fried steak without white gravy (which by the way can be made with flour, butter, and black pepper only). I chose something else, which was fine. My companion got the oatmeal, which comes with raisins, nuts, and brown sugar. There were other options for vegetarians. It's a cute restaurant/diner with a good atmosphere and professional wait staff.

Top-notch food, service, and ambiance. We both had the pancake breakfast combo with bacon, eggs, and sausage. Very tasty, super hot, and served with a smile. Reasonable prices, and highly recommended. The servings are so large you will need a take-out container or two, which they are happy to provide.

My first time visiting and I must say I really enjoyed it. It is a family style restaurant with great food, very generous serving sizes, and reasonably priced. I would definitely return. I arrived during the lunch rush, and there was a 30 minute wait. The restaurant had a feel like I was up in the mountains. The menu looks like an old newspaper with all the locations and dates of when they opened. Merchandise is also available for purchase. Dine in is available. Enjoy your visit!

Let me start by saying that my first meal here was not something I ended up enjoying, but I decided to give it a second shot and was not let down. This is mostly just because I am a VERY picky eater, though. Most places have flavorless roast beef sandwiches, so I was very surprised at how tasty the roast beef sandwich was here (even without the au jus). The egg benedict is my favorite breakfast to order, although I like to get spicy italian sausage instead of canadian bacon. I also highly recommend the country potatoes over the hasbrowns. Not because there is anything wrong with the hasbrowns, the country potatoes just give you more of a hearty meal and have more complexity in their flavor. I see a lot of people taking out here, but that seems to be because the wait can be over 45 minutes if you go after 10:00 am. Trust me when I say you want to dine in and not take out. I have never ordered take out here, but I doubt the food travels well enough to do this place justice. The restaurant itself has a very relaxed feel to it that almost makes you want to stay a little bit longer than usual. From the newspaper menus to the bluetooth jukebox that can be operated comfortably from your seat, this place has a charm to it that has me going back for more. Mimosas with breakfast is also a solid start to a day. Cheers.

Absolutely enjoy this place. Staff is welcoming, food is always delicious and prices are reasonable. I've had the pleasure of having Jennifer as our server a few times and she's always so cheerful and her service is on point.

Love the staff here and how chill and friendly they are with everyone. Gets busy Sunday mornings, as expected, but I still love going. I definitely am patient with them because it's busy and I understand the stress of busy customer service workers but they manage everything very well. I love the portions and their pancakes are my favorite from just about any breakfast spot I've been to, including all the chains and small business restaurants so I hope they don't change anything.

On November 23rd, my family and I went to Black Bear Diner to celebrate Thanksgiving. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-organized everything was, and the manager, Veronica, was incredibly friendly. Despite the busy atmosphere, she made sure to attend to everyone in the diner. Veronica was truly amazing.
