Just moved here from Miami with my bf & we thought we’d never have Nica food again like we did in Miami. Thankfully we found The Charcoal Grill LLC! Great service & family friend place in Newberry! Kind of a far drive for us but definitely worth it for such great food! Makes me feel right at home! Definitely think you guys should go around some breweries & different locations if possible! Over all great experience! Real Nicaraguan food!
The Carne Asada was incredible! Flavorful and tender, perfectly cooked. I loved the red beans and rice along with the plantains. My hubs got their version of Ropa Vieja and it was TO DIE FOR! Once again, full of flavor and so tender. We are so excited to have some ethnic food in our little town! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Really fresh delicious food!! I had the carne asada plate and the beef tacos and both were generous and tasty! Will be back for more. Located by the Post Office in Newberry.
Best fried plantains I've ever had! Pork chop and chicken and tacos we're awesome stewed beef had a really good tang to it loved it!

I work next door to these guys and so I eat there just about every weekend. Their Nicaraguan style food is very good and has always hit the spot. However their new sandwiches are above & beyond! For under $7 you get a drink and a either spicy chicken sandwich or steak sandwich and they are great!
Where to begin with Charcoal Grill??! First off, I called for pickup and the employee who took my order was incredibly helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. The restaurant turned out to be bigger than I imagined and it’s was cute/ welcoming. The minute the food came out it smelled incredible; I wished my family was with me so we could eat immediately! We got the steak w/ onions, grilled chicken and Asada plates; which were simply yummy, well prepared and the Carne Asada plate was one of the best we have had in a while! Their beef empanadas, rice and beans, plantains and Nica slaw were simply delicious. While chatting with the friendly employee he informed me that they also serve breakfast, which I can’t wait to try!! If you love Latin food look no further- Charcoal Grill will not disappoint! Lastly, I’m amazed by their price point for the amount and freshness of food served!
