Went here for brunch on 10/08/17. The location is prefect. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. The staff was amazing. The owner was there and she was involved in everything. Our server was prompt and our food came out fairly quickly. The food itself was amazing. I had coffee with my brunch and it was amazing. Two entrees, a coffee, and a side of potatoes was $36. Amazing price. Definitely going again. If you don't want to sit down and have a full service meal the coffee shop is up front and they serve small pastries and sandwiches with amazing looking drinks. You must go here. Support local small businesses!
can't say enough good things about this place. the owners are clearly trying to build a quality establishment with personality, and every time i've come here they've done something to improve. we've had several excellent meals here over the past year and the selection gets wider and better every time. (on the current menu i highly recommend the ravioli with beets and cheese ... one of us tried it and the whole table wished they'd ordered it too.) the cafe side has excellent espresso, hands down the best in moco north of bethesda, possibly anywhere in the county. outdoor seating with evening concerts thurs-fri-sat, and they book musical styles ranging from jazz to punk to electronica. pay bmc a visit, it's wonderful to have a tasteful option that isn't the usual cookie cutter.
My first experience here was on point! I will be back again! Overall charm and customer service was great! Excited to try other brunch and lunch. Glad this place is a quick drive from my place.
Awesome hangout in Gaithersburg. Great coffee selection, with the best nitro cold brew on tap. They have an assortment of pastries. Amazing food options for a quick bite or sit down (breakfast/ brunch, lunch or dinner). It's a wonderful place to enjoy with your friends or family.

Great atmosphere and outstanding staff and service.Absolutely delicious food and great coffee. Best fish tacos ever. I highly recommend this place.
Just had a delightful lunch on the patio. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the fig and blue cheese pizza and the rise and shine brunch pizza. We loved watching the children play in the fountain as we ate. Can't wait to come back!
2nd time and although the place was packed, the staff worked fast to accomodate my family. I' m absolutely inl love of your Lavender Latte! We are definitely becoming regulars for Sunday brunch with the fam! Thanks Guys!!!
Is definitely a nice place the waiter very friendly my family and I very happy whit this place the food very rich and much more pleasant when you are at the table outside and you listen a live music 🎶
I'm so happy to have such a great place close to home! Food was amazing! Healthy and delicious (my 6yo son even asked for a second plate!). They also make their coffee syrups in house, my husband had a lavender latte which was a delight! Also the service was great, Samantha was very attentive and nice. Definitely will be back next weekend!
Terrific place !!
Beautiful patio for afternoon coffee
We went there for New Year's day with a group of 10 we had great service, great food the presentation excellent, the chef came out and spoke with us and we can't wait to go back! This is a great new location with style and comfort! It about time we have a great place for brunches and etc 😊👍
One of our favorites in MoCo! Love the atmosphere of the coffee shop and the food is always delicious. Very friendly staff. We enjoy coming for dates and with our kids who love your pizza.
Loved 95% of everything here. Chicken and jalapeño waffles were excellent, breakfast sandwich was amazing, the coffee tasted very fresh and good, service was great. Only complaint was the coffee was so hot when it came out I couldn't even drink it for the first 15 minutes, and the espresso martini was too sweet; minor complaints. Worth checking this place out.
The avocado toast was a little long in the toaster. But overall everything was delicious and nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff, too. I'd suggest to add the egg benedict with avocado instead of bacon (pictured) to your menu. It was *chef's kiss*.
First time visiting. The wait was under 15 minutes despite it being busy and coming as a party of 2 for walk-in seating. The server was kind and attentive. Loved the crab benedict, highly recommend. Latte & cappuccino were also great. It was a bit loud, but we visited on a Sunday at noon.
Moderate price points. You could average $20 a person.
A heads up: this is a food centered place with a social environment. This is not a cafe for reading, working, or lingering. Great for food with friends or family.
We will certainly be back to try other menu items.

This was my first time at Barking Mad Cafe. I took my son & met some girlfriends for brunch & the food was incredible.
Perfect place for a date night or a delicious brunch. I mean, just look at my pics.
They have bottomless mimosas, but no other alcohol. They make beautiful-looking coffee, but unfortunately, I don't drink coffee.
Parking was ok but the service was awesome. The vibe of the restaurant is clean and modern, so it was perfect! Love the open-concept kitchen.
Highly recommend Barking Mad.
First time. $$. Bela our server was great. We sat outside as the weather was perfection. The egg sandwich on brioche lacked flavor and presentation was underwhelming. Chicken and waffles was good not great. Everyone else said they enjoyed their food.
Love this place! Whether for pick up or dine in. I've been coming here for years but I was really impressed the last time I visited. I came in with my daughter 2mins before the kitchen closed, they took my order as quickly as possible and let me and my daughter sit. The brunch and service, superb as usual 👌🏾.
Came on Sunday morning with my family and our dog. The service was attentive, the food was yum, the bottomless was a hefty pour, but not the best mimosas we have had. Great outdoor seating and they have definitely upped their game recently. Stop by if you have the chance!
Very hip cafe to visit, especially for breakfast. You can eat outdoors or indoors. The outdoor patio tends to get very hot during summertime and when the sun is bright near noon. It is dog friendly but keep in mind the time of day when you eat outside if bringing a dog. The freshly brewed coffee is delicious and smooth. The chicken and waffles are great (chicken is fried tender and crispy) (the waffles are delicate and sweet). The huevos rancheros are quite tasty, especially if you ask for the ranchero sauce on the side because you control how much to pour on top to keep the tortillas crispy until eaten. The avocado and toast is just ok. It seems that they use guacamole on the toast instead of just using fresh avocados. Also, the toast is cooked more than necessary, making it a bit tough around the edges. Service has been consistently nice. There's ample parking available on location. Cafe is easy to access from 355 or exit 12 from I270.
This place knows where it's at. Ate here and got their breakfast sandwich with shaken espresso. 2nd time I ate here was because Ted's bulletin had absolutely awful breakfast, so came back and had the breakfast tacos. WOW. The sauce was spicy and delicious. For 1 person, shaken espresso with the breakfast tacos was 3 times less than 2 people at Ted's. Come here if you want a yummy breakfast at a good price.
Been searching the area for great brunch spots and this one hit the mark. I ordered chicken and waffles, French toast, and
Beignets.
The chicken and waffles were done well. The waffle had a slight crisp to the waffle with a fluffy inside. The chicken was fried well. The breading on it wasn't overdone and burnt as I have seen in other restaurants. The syrup paired well with the waffles and I had enough to take home for a second meal because I tried to portion control.
Next was the French toast. I was surprised by this as I haven't had a brioche version of this before. I enjoyed this as well. I liked how it paired with the fresh fruit.
The beignets were also unexpectedly good. I haven't had these before. It's basically a hollow, rectangle-shaped fried dough. The restaurant provides you with a unique sauce that serves as the filler. It had a slight orange zest to it.
I look forward to visiting here again.
Barking Mad is THE place to be on a Saturday night. Alongside the live music performance, the ambience is very relaxed, friendly and warm. Giorgio is the best manager BMC has ever had and he treats everyone as family with a smile and with love. You can tell he is passionate about the quality of the food and makes your entire experience there welcoming. I look forward to seeing him every time. Nadia was bubbly and kind (and fast!!) - thanks for serving us and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The fall menu looked amazing and we ordered the butternut squash pizza and the fried cauliflower with spicy avocado
P.S order the Tiramisu for dessert! It was a great way to end the night. 10/10
Enjoyed the jalapeño chicken and waffles and the carnitas eggs benedict. Dirty chai was 11/10. Really cute place with good food and nice staff - we’ll be back!
The cutest place! Had the hibiscus tea (awesome 👍🏼), and a chocolate croissant (although I ordered a ham & swiss, guess there was a little mix up in the order...but...) it was a delicious treat. Will definitely revisit for a meal 😁

Barking Mad, it's quite rad!
I tried Beignets, it tasted very good with the sauce! Recommend it!
Nice cosy feel. Large portions. Great coffee. I had the avocado toast. It is a little different served with feta and tomatoes, with the poached eggs on the side. My friend had the eggs benny. Said the sauce needed more lemon but the eggs were perfect.
