Star Drug Store - Galveston - Photo album

I had been wanting to try this place for about 2 years now. It was so worth the wait! I was blow away at how good the food was, and how friendly the staff were. The owner was super nice and talked with us for a while, and I loved hearing the history of the place. The patty melt I ate was super uniq
50s throw back vibes the whole setting is an experience. From The Cook's, decorations, and even the set up and nostalgic and vintage. The food is quality and fresh. The same staff has a great attitude and super friendly. Great stop with a unique setting for a quick lunch both locals and tourists.
Star Drug Store is probably as close to classic soda-fountain/diner joints as you'll find anywhere. It's classic early-mid 20th century Americana flair with a dash of modernism. That said, food is excellent, made quick, and straight-forwars service. Highly recommend! Side note: The pancakes....o
One of the best brunches I’ve had in Galveston! 😋 The burger and pimento cheese sandwich were devine! 😍 So flavorful I couldn’t put either down till I finished them both AND the chips they came with! 🤭
One of the cutest spots for casual family dining in Galveston! Historic, cute atmosphere and delicious. Family run business and the owner is on site and probably waiting on your table! If you’re looking for something sweet it still has an old school soda fountain where you can get some delicious swe
Service is great, very old feeling. I got the "go nuts" shake and it was amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Great place, great location, great service, great food. Arrived around noon on a Saturday and didn't even have to wait. Still serving breakfast at noon. Great burgers, shakes, and floats.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Fantastic fountain service. My vanilla malt was stellar. Decent diner food. Breakfast all day is cool. You definitely come for the nostalgia and history more than the food.
This place is all about atmosphere. Tons of nostalgia hanging on the walls and styled like an old time diner. We had breakfast there which was simple and fresh in a great way. The service was great and made us feel at home. My wife had the eggs Benedict and I had an omlet which were both very good f
This place was so neat. The staff was very friendly. This place has so much history and the display that history in a cool way. The food was just what we needed and then some. I think anyone that stops thru Galveston should make sure they go by and get a bit of history and a great meal
