Came here on a tueaday afternoon from Houston. Have never been here before and came solely on the pictures people shared. I am happily surprised at how the food not only looked good but tasted good as well. As a native Mexican, it is hard for me to find Mexican restaurants that my tastebuds favor, and I would happily come eat here again. All the food and drinks we ate tasted Home made. The fresh waters are natural and taste fresh, unlike some places that make fresh water out of concentrate or powders. The meat in our dishes was all very soft and had good seasoning. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Mexican food near the beach.

I have read several reviews about this place stating that it was an establishment with poor service. I wanted to leave a review of my own opinion in regards to this. From the moment I have walked in the door until I sat down, I have been greeted with friendliness, chips and homemade salsa, Also, my drink and my food order where taken quickly. When my order was put in, within 5-10 minutes of waiting, my food was placed in front of me. Now to the food- I choose to eat the TACOS DE BISTEC TACOS SERVED WITH PICO DE GALLO. GRILLED ONIONS, CHARRO BEANS GUACAMOLE AND SOUR CREAM. The taste of the charro beans by themselves was amazing but the tacos had a really nice flavor from the meat to the toppings. They both came on homemade tortillas, I had one corn and one flour. The chips and salsa were hard to stop eating. To the service I say thanks for all you do and for waiting on me continuously throughout my meal, making sure everything was good and not letting me leave disappointed.

The food and service were great. The homemade salsas were delicious. I thought the roll paper towel was interesting but comforting knowing we had it.

I had been here a couple of times a few years ago and was definitely not impressed. I decided to try once more & it was absolutely delicious! The green salsa has a very nice kick to it!

This was a small place right as you get in the seawall. First let me say the food was great! The service was not bad but not great. We (3 people) & ordered queso & ice tea, came with no ice. Had to ask a couple times for cups of ice. She brought back one. Asked for more and straws. That took a few. She never came back to refill drinks or chips or salsa. Had to flag another waitress down to get chips. The queso did not come out till our meal came out. They were busy but nothing more than a weekday lunch crowd, all tables were not full. The patio was a nice area to sit and see the water. Lots of menu options including breakfast. Ice cold beer & a jukebox. The food came out hot and fresh, tasted great. I think they should have left all the magazines pics of men up in the bathroom stalls in stead of painting over them. 😂😂

A friend took me here a week ago. He hadn't been here in a long time but said it used to be good. So we went. The food atmosphere & service were all good and the prices were good also. I have no problem recomending this place.

Came for a late dinner. It was a bit busy but not full. Food came out quickly. Everything was very delicious. Mexican music in the background set up a nice mood.

I was worried it was Tex-Mex but it appears to be good Mexican food. Huarache Azteca was good, enchilada is good. I'd aim for milanesa Argentina next time but this was nice today. Agua Jamaica is a little watery but not too sweet like that fake stuff at some restaurants. Limited English here which is even better. Seems clean and pleasant. Great location. Parking is ok.

Another fabulous place in Galveston. It's a very unassuming place, but don't let that fool you. The food is fabulous. The staff is super. I had the "Mexican enchiladas." They were LOADED with chicken (you do get your choice of meat). Absolutely delicious. My husband had a plate with steak and some type of bread covered with refried beans, cotija cheese, and avocado slices (don't remember what it was called). It was absolutely delicious as well. Definitely give this place a try when you visit Galveston.
