This is one of my favorite places, the love and good attention with which they receive you is priceless. The food is + 5 stars, the atmosphere is practically familiar (very good) do not miss the experience of savoring its delicious meal ! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!
Wonderful place to have Portugese food! Big portions & flavorful. In the salad, you could tell that the tomatoes were home grown. All fresh & homemade from the heart. The waitress was lovely, beautiful, & very accommodating. I had a great first time. I will definitely be back when I'm in the mood fo
The food was delicious. We had to wait quite some time to get our food but it was definetly worth the wait. I would come back here again. I recommend getting the Camarones al Ajillo which I guarantee you will love.
The food was great and the prices very reasonable. As a Portuguese, I have to say that the dishes taste like the ones you'd have in the old country. I had the cozido à portuguesa and loved it. A friend ordered carne de porco à alentejana and it was very tasty too. Give them a try!
The staffs were always friendly, and the food was so tasty!! Check out their daily special. I had the oxtail with macaroni and broccoli rabe today, it's super flavorful!
The place already smells appetizing the minute you walk in, service was on a first name basis, and the food was fantastic. Glad I stopped by before the storm.
The food is always fresh and delicious and we are always treated like family .
Excellent place from the friendly waiters, waitresses and bartenders to the food!!!
Small mom and pop like bar with great food and service! The staff is quick and attentive. We went on a slow night when they expected to close early, but they stayed open to accommodate our order! We ordered the paella, clams in garlic sauce, shrimps in garlic sauce and steak. Everything was amazing!
The food was AMAZING! Served hot & delicious. We will definitely go back.
Was in Mineola for business, and figured we’d try a Portuguese restaurant for lunch. This one seemed to be the most suitable for lunch, as opposed to dinner. Very small place, really a bar and four tables for four each, so I might avoid it on a Friday or Saturday night- but the food is excellent. Ch
All prior reviews about this place being a hidden gem are right on the money. You walk into this place and see what looks to be a dive bar with a foosball table. Once the food arrives, you realize the other Yelpers were correct. I had the shell steak which was amazing and the complimentary Portugues
Great food. Excellent service wonderful people the owner joe is a great cook and a really good guy
Amazing food and service. Will definitely be there again
Best Portugese food I've ever had. Always fresh and delicious. Never a complaint. Joe and his staff are all wonderful and attentive. Been a loyal customer for many years. Fantastic all around!
Delicious hidden gem of a Portuguese restaurant that looks like a dive bar. The seafood paella is chock full of clams, shrimp, mussels and scallops. The rice is briny. Sangria is generous. The shrimp in garlic sauce is amazing. The mixed grill kebab is generous and tasty. Just come early. There are
Looks like a dive but it's not food is amazing and fresh best steak I had in a while my buds had seafood and reckoned it was the bomb
