First time here so we ordered several dishes to try. Roasted Pork Belly With Rice, Bolsa Bao, Duck Bao, Cow Bao, Cha Siu Bao, Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Fresh Watermelon Juice. OMG!!! So delicious!!! We ended up ordering to-go as well because it was that good!!
Baos Hog in Garden Grove was recommended to me by a friend. I don't really even like baos necessarily, but honestly, this place has elevated their boa game to make me a believer! I tried 2 different styles of baos, the Hot Chick Bao and the Char Siu Bao, both were unbelievably delicious, and the buns are so light and fresh! The me u sounds so interesting, I am going back on the weekend to try other items.
Hmmm…finally back in Cali after a few years and didnt know what to eat..,so wifey did a phone order for take out and honestly I’m really surprised….place was deadddddd when I came around 530pm so I hope this place is good…and it was great!!! The rice dishes was great portion for the value..baos were hefty and fills up well. Fries were good as well. If I come back it would be for the rice dishes.
My go to place for a Friday night dinner to go! Very affordable and delicious. They have pretty much all the Hongkonese BBQ style meats served with ham bow or rice. They now do banh mi too. The place is small. I don't recommend eating inside.
Wow..dios mio... Amazing.. talk about affordable, great tasting food. I had the duck, bolsa and hot chick hog and it was a life changing experience. I spent as much as a popular fast food meal and I got an amazing experience for my taste buds.. as a taco lover I would literally exchange this in my meal experience more than once.. definitely somewhere I would come back again and again
Loved the Cali style burrito with the beef bulgogi! The size of the burrito was pretty big so I only ate half for lunch. The sauce was decent but not my favorite. Overall I loved all the different flavors in the burrito. Can’t wait to try the baos next!
I can't believe how long it took me to finally try this spot. If you don't know about this spot, they specialize in a variety of baos and rice plates. They've been in business for awhile and because of its location (tucked in a corner of the plaza), I tend to forget about it until after I've left the plaza. I was really craving for some chinese bbq one day and then I suddenly remembered about this spot. After trying them out, I can see why they're still in business despite so many new food establishments popping up. Portions are generous and the pricing is very reasonable. I'll definitely be back for more!

-Cross Streets are Brookhurst St. and Westminster Ave.
-Located in the same plaza as Boiling Point, Banh Mi Che Cali, Sunmerry Bakery, Sunright Tea Studio and more. They're tucked in the corner of the plaza closely facing Brookhurst St.
-Parking is a hit or miss depending on the time you come. They're located in a super popular plaza that houses a Vietnamese supermarket as well as many other popular tea/food establishments.

Duck Bao ($5.50) - This has got to my favorite bao of all time. I'm not kidding you when I said their baos are super loaded. They gave me a thick piece of duck in my bao and honestly, I could just eat one of these and be done with my meal. The duck was flavorful and very tender
Bolsa Bao ($5.50) - My second favorite bao! It's crispy pork and again, you get a thick slice of it too! I liked the pickled onions on top which helps to counter the oiliness from the crispy pork skin. So much flavor in this one
Charsiu Bao ($5.00) - A close second favorite but I've always loved my crispy pork over charsiu so it did not surprise me that this was my 3rd favorite. Again, they load up the bao with thick pieces of charsiu. It seems like the charsiu is healthier too because there weren't any fatty pieces which I appreciated.
Hainan Chicken Rice with dark meat ($12.50) - You have the selection of white meat or dark meat for this dish and I opted for the dark meat which cost me an additional $1.00 which I didn't mind. This was recommended to me by the worker as one of their most popular rice dishes. I do love a good hainan chicken rice so I decided to try one for myself. It was pretty good although I have to say it's on the sweeter side which I personally didn't mind. It might be from the sauce itself? Nonetheless, it was still good, and they provided a generous portion of chicken.
Really great little hole in the wall in Garden Grove off of Brookhurst, really close to the 22 Freeway for easy access. The parking lot is a little crazy and people drive up right next to the shop, so be careful when you step off the curb!
The food is really fantastic. Freshly made, very large, fluffy bao and huge portions on the fillings. We went two days in a row because we were so impressed the first day. The girl who helped us the first visit was amazingly friendly. The boy the next day not so much, he also got our order wrong, but you really can't get anything bad here, so we weren't that bothered, although they did forget the one item I was craving the most.
Our favorites: Duck Bao which is $4.50, but huge pieces of duck, so worth the money; Boss Hog Fries (choose between pork or beef, comes with sauces, cilantro, and onions), cauli fries (you should get 12 orders of these so no one fights or dreams about them); Fish Bao.
Definitely going to keep eating here!
I'm not sure that you can beat this restaurant for the price. I got a Duck Bao and somehow it was only $3.50. For the price, it was great.
The service was so incredibly fast and the employees were all friendly. I'm genuinely not sure how they made it so cheap and yet so delicious. Plus I got a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which was amazing.
Definitely check this place out!
A Culinary Gem in the Heart of Westminster - BAOS HOG Review
Stepping into BAOS HOG, you're immediately welcomed by a fusion of contemporary decor and inviting ambiance. This small, yet noteworthy establishment stands out in Westminster for its innovative approach to bao buns, often known as "baos."
Each bao is a masterpiece, with the Hog special possibly being the star of the show. The pork is succulent and flavorful, indicative of the care in preparation. Accompanied by crisp, fresh vegetables and a secret sauce that adds an unexpected but delightful kick, it's a harmonious blend of textures and tastes.
Beyond the baos, the menu is an eclectic mix, suggesting influences from various cuisines, a bold move that seems to pay off. The drinks selection complements the food, with both traditional options and more unique offerings, indicating that the proprietors are aficionados seeking to provide a full culinary experience.
Service is efficient and warm.
Enjoyed their Taiwanese boas. Duck, boss, and cow baos were excellent. Will come again.

The food was delicious. Can’t complain with the service I received. I felt like I was eating at home.
This was a great find in a cool little part of town. The food was excellent. We searched 'best steamed buns in L.A.' and this is where Google maps brought us. It was totally right. The place is a modern little bun shop with good drink options. We got the Duck and the two Pork options. Would recommend all of them highly.
Omg!!! I drive out of the way for this place omg!!! Everything is freaking delish, today I bought my favorites, next the Fish wrap I'm tasting it looks good never tried it but I'm sure it's good all the food here is Fire...😋 lol🐷🐽
We got the chicken and duck bao, lychee lemonade 50% less sweet and less ice, and their short rib fries. Highly recommended to get dem fries!
No wait and quick service on a Saturday afternoon. The food looked and tasted awesome! Service was phenomenon!
Each entree was provided with different sauces, Bolsa/Heo Quay Bao and Duck Bao and Char Siu Bao and Boss Bao were yummy!
Check out Baos Hog if you're in the area!
Im amazed by the buns here. Kinda feel good and healthy for some reason lol. Will definitely come back to try everything else
Awesome Chinese bun sandwiches. The roast duck and braised pork belly was delicious. Price is right and food is tasty, what more can you ask for.
