As David Chang has noted, you wouldn’t expect such bomb food in a bowling alley, but lo and behold, Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop exists. Came here on a Monday evening with two other friends around 6:30pm and the parking lot was already full. There is street parking available. The restaurant is unassuming but the food is delicious and portions are generous. Credit cards are accepted. You order at the counter first and then sit down. Indoor dining only. Takeout is also available.
I got the Hawaiian Royal, which everyone seems to get for their first visit. It’s on the sweeter side (which is good for me) and very filling - I had a very hearty lunch the next day. My friends got the loco moco and garlic chicken respectively, and both liked their food a lot. The garlic chicken in particular has good flavor and comes with rice, mac salad, and broccoli. The employees were nice and everyone eating there seemed to be a local. Overall, it’s got hole-in-the-wall vibes, but you won’t regret coming here.
Delicious foods affordable prices. Their selection of Asian favorites is by far one of their best in the area. The pork fried rice is highly recommended with an over easy egg. Their kimchi fried rice and soups are also highly recommended. Friendly army and very fast service. Lunchtime favorite
A Hidden Gem! Truly amazing how hidden and delicious it is. I came on A Monday around lunchtime, the place was buzzing. The menu has a variety of Hawaiian and Asian foods. I got the Hawaiian Royal with friend rice! Super delicious! My mom got the French toast that were big and fluffy! And super tasty. Coffee was good and the price was the best part! Definitely something worth checking out when In the area. The chef doesn’t disappoint!!!

My favorite that has me coming back is the GARLIC CHICKEN w Rice and vegetable and potato salad. U must stop be here and get the this Garlic Chicken...it’s the BEST HAWAIIAN FOOD u will ever have.
My sister and I have been wanting to come here for a while now. We finally did and Frankie took great care of us!
We started with the miso soup and hot green tea. I meant to take of pic of the soup but ate it too fast! The soup was good. A little sweet with noodles and green onions. No tofu. A nice variation and delicious.
Thanks to Frankie's suggestion we tried the garlic chicken which was delicious. I upgraded to the kimchee bacon fried rice which was awesome. We also tried the miso Salmon which was flavorful. Sides of broccoli and potato salad with the chicken and broccoli and seaweed salad took me back to the days of eating with my grandmother.
Comfort food amazingness with great service.
Sorry for the partially eaten food pics. We were so eager to try the dishes I forgot to take the pictures first!
2pm late lunch on Monday, a friend drove me to her diner in the bowling place in her hood as a child. One young man show. He rocked it. Took phone orders, sat customers, took table orders, served the food and bussed tables etc...all in a decent mood. Not once was he rude to anyone nor crabby during this rush. The food reminded me of Hawaiian style. Nice portions enough to take home.
Great small cafe housed in the lobby of a bowling alley. Has a lot of variety at a reasonable price, would recommend!
Best kept secret in town! Thee best food!!! Seriously....I won't say food is good if it isn't. If you're looking for a variety of delicious, hot, inexpensive food then this is your spot. Friendly staff. I'd eat there every day if I could. Excellent food....no lie.
