Great service and wonderful selection of beer and wine. The staff are attentive and offer great recommendations. Highly recommend a tasting it just trying one glass on special. They have cocktails also.
The Grape and Barley is "our spot." It's an amazing wine and beer store that also serves what they sale along with top notch hand crafted cocktails. They offer weekly tastings, and the staff are super knowledgeable and are always happy to recommend a new wine according to your mood or what you may be pairing it with.
Their Covid protocols are amazing, always feel so safe here.
This is definitely Gaston County's hidden gem.

My retirement party was held here several weeks ago. Atmosphere was great. Staff customer service was great. I left with enough wine and gift certificates to last a while. Thank you so much for the awesome service ❤
Cool spot to grab a drink and pick up some cold ones that are different from the normal brands found in the store. Decent selection of beer and wine. Much better environment to have a drink and be able to talk to someone than going to a normal bar.
Well done. A balance between family, relaxation, and the perfect environment to drink a beverage of choice to escape from it all. Looking forward to many more visits!
I've said it once, I'll say it again. One of the best places to go in Gastonia and even the surrounding area. The owners are phenomenal people and the service never lacks. Always a great selection, great atmosphere, and a homey feel to it. Come here, have a great time, and come back again.
Grape and Barley is a fine establishment with a superb staff. Rotating taps make for great flights, the selection of bottles is pretty dang good and the proximity to pizza is lucky. The owner is very nice and no one behind the bar has a problem talking to you or not (if you're not into people). 9/10, would reccomend.
I stopped in on a whim (looking for a cab I had in the past). The gentleman who assisted me was very kind and helpful. I didn't find the exact wine I was looking for but he recommended a wonderfully full-bodied cabernet alternatively. I was hooked on the aroma alone with the taste to match! I only awarded four stars because my visit was so brief.
