EXCELLENT FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE! The best dinner we had our entire stay in Gatlinburg! Wonderful steaks, sides were delicious and so was the bread! We paid $95 for dinner for 3. Totally worth the price!
After a day of driving I wanted a nice steak so I googled and came up with Cherokee steak house .Gotta say this place rocks.Steak was very juicy and tender as it was a prime rib we ordered. I tried their Mountain Light beer, which was superb to company the meal. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend this place. Nice atmosphere.
This restaurant was very good. The portions are large, we should have shared a meal and i think there would have been enough leftovers to take back to our cabin. I ordered the chop steak, it was juicy and cook well. Fried chicken was crispy and it had a nice flavor. We were served complementary bread, but it was cold and the dough was a weird italian blend. In overall, i do recommend you visit this place! Like this post if it help you

Wonderful dining experience in private glassed area. Waitstaff were diligent & attentive with service. Appetizers were fantastic and the main course was so filling there was no room for dessert! Prices were on par was food quality and everything tasted delicious. Will go back!
One of the only non-coastal calamari plates I can order with any regularity. The service here is usually smooth and solid. The bread here is really good, the butter, not so much;).
Our meal at the Cherokee Grill was very good. We certainly couldn't complain about much, if anything - save for the saltiness of the sautéed mushrooms. But that was certainly not a deal breaker for the overall taste of the meal. Our steaks were top notch and a very good value compared to other steakhouses we've been to. The sides - especially the baked mac and cheese and the blue cheese grits - were outstanding. The service was polite, timely and even keel. While we didn't care for Gatlinburg all that much, the Cherokee Grill stood out as one of the better meals we had on our vacation.
This was the best dining experience my husband and I have had in a long time. The baked crab cakes are almost all crab meat, so much so that they fall apart. I asked for some clarified butter to go with them and they were to die for! Neva's potatoes were awesome, too. We sat by the window overlooking the parkway and a few booths down from the large gas fireplace. It was a very romantic and pleasant dining experience. Our waiter, Valente, was exceptional.
After reading the reviews we went there last night. WOW. Wife had the charcoal broiled shrimp with the macaroni & spinach casserole. There were 10 beautiful shrimp that she said were the best she had ever had. I had the 8 oz sirloin that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The blue cheese grits were a surprise to a southern boy and were outstanding. Even with a full house during a busy time of the year the Cheerokee Grill was outstanding
The food was fabulous. As was the service. I had a local beer that was as good as it gets. My wife had a delightful glass of wine. My daughter had grits that she said was so good she wished that she could smear them all over her body
Started with the cherokee baked oysters. Very tasty. The smoked ham n crab made for a hearty, good tasting combo. Wife got the rotisseree half chkn with blue cheese grits. No complaints. Moist chkn n very creamy grits. I had the ribeye wiy bakd potato n bakd mac n cheese. Steak was cookd to med/rare, good flavor n marbling. Bakd potato was par, but a very good combo of mac n cheese wit spinach n a little spice in tje cheese. Overall a good sit down dining expirence along the strip
When we first arrived in Gatlinburg we were overwhelmed with our food options. We wanted something tasty and memorable. We found great reviews on this place and decided to try it. The ambiance is wonderful, it was cold outside and they had a beautiful fireplace. Our waiter David was so friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We started with the crab cakes...amazing. Then we both ordered the prosperity steak with blue cheese grits (yes you read that right and if you like blue cheese they are soooo delicious) and Mac and cheese with spinach. The steak was some of the best steak I've ever had. Shout out to the chef Kyle!! Oh and have you ever had Worcestershire butter? It is really worth trying. We had an incredible experience and will absolutely be back. If you are looking for a romantic meal, or a delicious meal, or some amazing steak please check this out!
Very nice dinner spot in Gatlinburg.. This was our first dinner at Cherokee Grill, and we were very pleased. Warm, roomy, rustic atmosphere. Pleasant service. Had the Maryland Crab Cake sandwich. Hesitant about ordering seafood in places not near the sea, but it was fresh and absolutely delicious.
Steak and service was good. Bread was hard.
Great food, nice place, friendly staff. Excellent menu choices. Great choices for kids as well a long with crayons and activity sheets

Delicious steaks on the parkway.. This restaurant is right on the main parkway. We went last night and our table enjoy steaks and seafood. The wedge salad was very simple, as it always is, but delicious. The blue cheese dressing was creamy and flavorful. We also think the crab bisque and it was very creamy and perfectly seasoned. I have the Boursin cheese stuffed filet and it was so tender and perfectly cooked. The seasoning on the steak was perfect and it was marinated just right. I opted for the blue cheese grits which were creamy and not to tangy and I also had spicy mac & cheese which was just okay. The sautéed mushrooms had a very good taste but were a little too salty for me. I was also able to taste the blackberry cobbler for dessert topped with vanilla ice cream, and it was sweet and delicious. Perhaps the best thing about the meal was the service we received from our waiter. He was delightful.
Best restaurant by far!!. This was our first dinner experience here in Gatlinburg. I have to say I'm very impressed! The sirloin was perfect and the sides were very unique and original. The best sides arr the spinach mac n cheese, blue cheese grits and the neva potatoes. we went here for a pre anniversary dinner. Guys, if you want a great place to take your lady, this is it! the cocktails were top if the line as well. We spent ariund $100, but it was all worth it.

This place was the best food my wife and I had here in Gatlinburg. Little pricey, but without a doubt outstanding. Victoria was an excellent waitress and great to talk to. Regarding the price, if you want the best you have to pay for it. $20-30 is expected for a good steak dinner. Mac n cheese was great, salad was fresh, dressings were great... Just go... Thank me later :) Mountain Light is a great beer as well.
Overall the food and service are very good, their salad left something to be desired (seemed like it was from a bag). We enjoyed the bread, blue cheese grits, hamburger, fillet, lobster, oysters, crab cakes, ribs and blueberry cobbler.
Wonderful grilled wild salmon. Delightful and attentive service. We loved it.

Would you like some fish with your salt?. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and the menu looked wonderful online. The crab stuffed mushrooms were awesome! A great beginning to what we thought would be a good meal. I ordered the herb crusted trout and he tried one of the specials, fried English mountain trout. Mine was nothing special, I did appreciate the server telling me there may be bones in it. My husbands was heavily breaded and SALTY. The blue cheese grits were okay and the baked macaroni and Caesar salad were great. Our server came out before our meal arrived and let us know she made a horrible mistake and dropped our food in water (?) and it would be about 145 minutes before our food would be out. No big deal, we figured we would get a discount. But when she brought us the check and there was no discount, we were a little ticked. So my husband asked them to take more $ off because of the food delay. They took off the salad, gave us an additional 40%, and some cheesecake to take home( for the honeymoon :)) I feel if we had ordered steaks we would be much happier, but the over all experience was a positive one.
$5 appetizers! Great Deal!. We went on a Thursday night and all the appetizers were $5! We ordered these for dinner. The crab stuffed mushrooms, calamari, and cold smoked trout were fabulous! Great service too. Will definitely return.
It would be a little pricey if not in Gatlinburg, but compared to many other places in town the extra cost is worth it. Service was friendly, informative and quick. Steaks and ribs were well prepared. Squash was especially tasty.
Go on Wednesday's, it's half price wine and the appetizers are all $5. Trout, fresh oysters and their food is great. From a burger to a elegant meal.
Very good overall. Good atmosphere and very clean. My wife said steak was one of the best she ever had. Very good bread.

Sirloin Steak = Very Good.
Ribeye = Very Good.
TN Blue Cheese Grits = Well...an acquired taste.
Overall, though on the expensive side, the food is very good. If you like crab cakes, you must try these. Enough said about those. If you get the ribeye, just know what cut you are asking for. It will be a bit fatty and hammy tasting. It's not like other steaks if you've never had it. This one is very good. Last but not least, great service with clean restrooms as well. We would come back to this restaurant.

Excellent!. I was in Gatlinburg over the July 4th holiday and my friends and I chose the Cherokee Grill for dinner because it was close and recommended via the website. We thought, 'why not?'
It was definitely a great choice!
There were three of us and we were seated in the rather spacious bar. The room was huge and the tables were comfortable, large and far enough away from the bar to still be private and out of the way of the busy drinking traffic.
Our waitress was friendly and prompt which was great. She didn't need to be told to refill our glasses or make sure we were taken care of.
I ordered the barbeque chicken and spicy mac and cheese, my sister ordered the southern fried chicken and grits and her boyfriend ordered the catfish. He had been waffling between ordering the fish and something else because he feared it wouldn't be prepared the way he enjoyed but there was nothing to worry about.
All three meals were hot and delicious. My chicken was good but it wasn't as good as both the catfish and southern fried chicken! The grits were delicious (though I'm not a huge fan of grits) and the mac and cheese was also great.
There was nothing about this meal that I could really complain about - even the prices were reasonable.
If you want a large meal, friendly service and reasonably priced food this is the place. I'm not even sure why its not rated higher on urbanspoon - I think out of all the places I've reviewed thus far it ranks among the top. Don't be afraid to give it a try - it was a really satisfying dining experience.
We enjoyed our meal. Wife had the 12 oz ribeye with blue cheese grits and asparagus. I had the 12 oz blue cheese sirloin, nevo's potatoes, and asparagus. The meal was good. Steaks were cooked the way we requested. Atmospher was nice. Wife said it was too cold in the Resturant. We arrived at about 6:50 PM on a Friday. Service was quick when we first arrived, but slowed dramatically by 7:42. Received our check at 7:34 and still waiting to have it picked up off the table at 7:44. Wife had to go out side to thaw out. Asparagus was not as tender as we like, still crunchy.
My fiance and I went to Cherokee Grill last night for a late dinner. First, the atmosphere was great. The place was clean, the staff were pleasant, the general experience was all around excellent. My fiance had a lemon chicken over rice with the Mac n cheese. She thoroughly enjoyed all the flavors and the chicken was cooked perfectly; moist and full of flavor. I had the filet with crab meat on top, blue cheese grits, and the Mac n cheese. The filet was cooked perfectly, however, a little bland in taste. To my surprise the blue cheese grits were awesome and my fiance loved them as well. The prices were reasonable, so come and enjoy! She and I will definitely return!
Prime rib was fabulous! Make sure to get creamy horseradish. So was the blue cheese steak. All 4 kids enjoyed the burgers, and the bloody Mary's rocked
Great atmosphere for a date night or special occasion. Lots of good food and a GREAT Happy Hour. Will defential go back.

The service was horrible. The wait staff was very freindly but scarce even though my wife and I were there during non peak times and the place was almost empty.

Excellent service and food was very good. Blue cheese sirloin was cooked to perfect medium rare and Mac and Cheese side was very tasty. Atmosphere was classy and inviting. One of the better places on the strip.
Great prime rib!. Busy during peak season but worth the wait. I had a prime rib sandwich and my boyfriend had the prime rib, both were great! The prime rib was cooked perfectly and very think, which was a great deal for the price. They have microbrew beer from the local brewery. Atmosphere is nice, and great service.
Great food! I has the prosperity steak and it was amazing! One of the best steaks ever, very tender and flavorful for a sirloin! The blue cheese grits are to die for, but very rich. The Mac, spinach and spicy cheese is great. There wasn't a thing on our plates that we didn't enjoy.
The eggroll appetizer is delicious. I had a steak and the wife had the lemon chicken. For desert we had the lemon cake. All of it was very good. Our waiter was a little weird, but the service and atmosphere was great. MAKE SURE to save your reciept or you will have to pay $5 for your parking.

Classy in Gatlinburg. Ate at Cherokee Grill on a busy December Saturday night in Gatlinburg. We all really enjoyed the place, and it's quite nice in the midst of some surrounding Gatlinburg tackyness. Tried their Smoky Mountain Fried Chicken, and it was nicely bone-free and well cooked. Not tough or dried out. I chose their Baked Macaroni & Spinach with Spicy Cheese as my side. It was very good, but also quite rich. The complimentary bread and butter was very well seasoned with herbs, but not too much. Couldn't stop eating.
We were a group of 6 from different parts of the country, and all were satisfied and pleased. The Bostonians remarked about how reasonable the prices were. Had a waiter (unfortunately did not get his name) who was excellent - attentive and helpful but not too chatty or intrusive.
All in all - very pleased and recommend Cherokee Grill.

Real treat. My wife and I had a very enjoyable meal at Cherokee Grill at the recommendation of the staff at our hotel. Great steak, tasty side dishes, and friendly service. If you're in Gatlinburg, it's a safe bet.

Enjoyable & Comfortable. Unpretentious dining! Started with a "free sample" of the Crab Bisque. Our waiter sealed the deal with that and we all ordered. Very good. Continued with their House Tossed salad with bleu cheese dressing. My entree was the Cherokee Grill Burger Topped with sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheddar cheese...and requested them to leave off the bun. My choice arrived as a chopped sirloin steak with additions added on top. My side choice was a very tasty Baked Macaroni & Spinach with Spicy Cheese.but lacking salt. That was easily corrected to my taste at the table! Nice comfort food with this selection! A moderate selection of wines by the glass. Ordered a house Merlot by the glass and it was very adequate. No desserts were ordered but the rest of the table enjoyed grilled pork chops, Grilled Asian Steak Salad Sliced filet mignon, mixed greens, garlic roasted tomatoes and Kung-Pao peanut sauce, and the fresh Mountain Trout. Nicely prepared and presented. A good value in Gatlinburg.
We sat down and looked over the menu. It’s changed… ...they removed just about everything that made the restaurant special... even the Font of the menu is now the same as Calhouns.
Our server David was great! He was very sweet and attentive. The place was pretty busy for a Friday with a lot of large parties so I recommend making a reservation. The bread they serve you is very yummy! We ordered the spinach & artichoke dip and the dip was good but the chips tasted a little on the older side. I ordered the steak salad and you could tell the salad was made first and then put in the fridge to wait for the rest of the food so it came out with soggy croutons and some soggy lettuce. The dressing was great and the steak was delicious though. If you plan on ordering a salad I just recommend getting the dressing on the side. My fiancé had the burger and said it was average. Overall great atmosphere and service but if you’re coming here I would go for the steak dishes.
There are so many layers to this restaurant and I loved most of them. Starting off with the drinks the drinks were incredible even with having an old drink menu on our table the bar was still able to craft the drinks we ordered, and boy did they craft them. Drinks were spectacular. Then the appetizers came out along with the bread. Pro tip slice the bread and use it as bruschetta for the spinach artichoke dip. Incredible. Then comes the main course. This is where disappointment set in for me. Mashed potatoes were awesome but my mid rare steak was served on a hot skillet it was more medium at best and continued cooking as dinner went on. Service was awesome. Definitely worth it.
One of our favorite meals we had on our trip to Gatlinburg. The service was great. The steaks were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The prices here are very reasonable as well. I highly recommend the Prosperity steak with the Neva’s potatoes.
On the recommendation of a friend we tried Cherokee Grill. We were so glad we gave it a try. If you’re looking for a more upscale environment this is the place. My husbands ribeye was awesome. The catfish was also excellent! Will definitely be a must anytime we visit in the future! Great service as well!
Just had our anniversary dinner and it was fantastic as always. Susan is a true gem and they are lucky to have such a wonderful person! The crab cakes and ribeye are out of this world.....perfection! Susan surprised us with an ice cream Sunday for our anniversary... so thoughtful and much appreciated.
We got the Prospirity Steak and the Trout. Both were very good. We also really enjoyed Nevas potatos... but hands down the best thing was the crab dip. SO good. The service was also wonderful. From the time we walked in the door, everyone was very friendly and attentive! We will be back. We dip recommend getting reservations, as the wait was almost 2hrs if you didn't have one.
What a BEAUTIFUL restaurant!!!!!!. We had reservations and were prompted seated by a very pleasant hostess. Our waiter was pleasant and prompt and helpful. Our food came out and was amazingly delicious. All people in our party got different selections & everyone raved how delicious everything was. I highly recommend this business. But, they are VERY busy and I also highly recommend reservations.
Attended to a friend dinner party of 24 people. They where so accomodating specially been a large party. I had the crab bisque for app, it was on point, smooth, creamy with a hint of cayenne. For my main i had the ribeye teriyake and 2 sides (standard to one side) i had the blue cheese grits... they had a distintive flavor but it needed a cream or butter to tone it down a bit.. my other side was the mac and cheese spinach ...the combination made me curious. It waz a bit more like a dip but the flavor was there. Maybe the spinach should had been toasted instead. My rib eye i had no critics, the steak was cooked to the temperature I asked for. The flavor was there... so good it remind me of a steak house in miami. Overall i would return again.
A solid choice for a casual meal out. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food quality is decent. The service is appropriately attentive. Initially, the $20 parking fee may feel excessive, but the restaurant softens the blow by providing a validation code at checkout for 3 hours of free parking. We especially enjoyed the ahi tuna salad with teriyaki sauce. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Our server, Dawn was top notch. The food was delicious. I definitely will be a repeat customer when we visit Tennessee. The pumpkin batter cake was delightful.
After a LONG day touring we settled down for dinner at the recommend Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse. Absolutely one of the very best pieces of filet mignon ever. Bar tender made an excellent drink, appetizer was plentiful for two a d flavorful too. Steak done to perfection. Great staff too. Can't say enough.
Can rarely find good steak with decent price now. This place is a 5 star for me!! Had steak with spinach mac&cheese, it was so good!! Also had fried chicken with blue cheese grits. Chicken was very juicy, breading was crunchy. Grits tastes like mac&cheese, so creamy and flavorful!
Their service is the best!! We never had to ask for anything. They brought our refills whenever we were close to finish the drink.

Very good. Not the best steak I've eaten - Prosperity Steak. Others in my group were happy with their meals. Robin was our waitress and if the food hadn't been good she would have made the visit worth it. Parking is a trick but get a code at the restaurant to have free parking. Great location and atmosphere.
By far the best place I've been to in a long time let alone best place in Gatlinburg. From food to service the whole experience is top tier . This place is well worth your money the fillets to the Tomahawk every bite is juicy and tender the meat is all cooked to perfection . Definitely get the hashbrown potatoes they are out of this world as well. Their dressings on salads is such amazing full of flavor . This will be the hardest restaurant to find something even close to what we've experienced here . The service is on its feet and ready to help you from start to finish , you rarely find such an amazing experience like this especially at such a busy tourist attraction like Gatlinburg, but let me tell you it definitely exists right here at Cherokee Grill. I'll have a hard time not eating here one more time on our 4 day trip here , I want to give other restaurants a try but they have set the bar so high its hard not to come back for more!!

A very nice and elegant restaurant in Gatlinburg! We did have to wait 45minutes to get a table there (even though it was pretty late, like 8pm). We ordered a smoked trout dip which unfortunately never made it to our table, the restaurant ran out of it. However,we ordered a spinach artichoke dip, and it was really good. I wish there were more local beers, liquor, or fish offered at Cherokee. The only local fish we could order was the trout, so we went with it. It was good, but I wish there was more sauce on it. Also, you only get one side for an extra charge. I ordered a sweet potato but got a baked potato instead. However, our server quickly corrected his mistake. I think that entrees lacked color- maybe a side of broccoli, asparagus,or a side salad would do the trick. We did order a side of ceasar salad,and it was delicious! They add sun-dried tomatoes to it,and it adds that fresh kick to it! A very pleasant surprise there! The pork chops were really good,and the side of the mushrooms added some extra flavor to the dish. I can certainly recommend their apple cobbler; in fact, I ordered a blueberry cobbler from the spacials menu, but I got the apple cobbler instead. This innocent mistake worked to my advantage as I actually prefer apples to blueberries. Anyway, it's a nice restaurant, definitely worth a try!
