The Pit Barbecue Restaurant - Georgetown - Photo album

Our beef sandwiches were fatty and had a pungent odor. The BBQ sauce was more like soup broth and was tasteless too. They were inedible! The service was a 3 and the food was a 1.
I've passed by this unassuming place many times over the years but finally took the opportunity to stop by for some food. Since it's drive thru only and on a Friday evening there was line of 4-5 cars jockeying for their turn at the window. We ordered the advertised special of 5 chopped beef sandwich
Tried out the Pit BBQ tonight! Drive thru open only (April 2021). Service was very friendly and helpful. Got the regular Moist beef brisket and the lean beef brisket. I moist was a little more fatty (very tender) ... the lean was more like I am used too... (slice of meat that seems firmer). I would
THE BEST!!! Nicest folks working here, best BBQ around. Jus sayin’
Brisket had no smoke ring and lacked flavor. Sauce was lacking. Slaw was good and service was good.
The brisket was not flavorful and the sauce was more like juice from the beans than a BBQ sauce. we were disappointed.
My Grandma's ashes had more flavor than the brisket, diesel is sweeter than their tea the pickles tasted like pickles. At least the lady at the window was nice. That's it
I grew up across the street from The Pit. I've alway liked it, until I ate Georgetown BBQ no longer opened. Always a friendly staff, brisket is good not great, the turkey lacks of taste, sausage is way too tough; good flavor but too much trouble just eating the inside, and the BBQ sauce is too water
