I never really had a bad experience at Gold Star. This one is no different. Good was great and got it in a decent time given there was a line at the drive thru
The food and service is excellent but the prices are a bit insane for a small cheese dog. We often won't buy a drink because the total is fairly absurd. It seems there should be some kind of discount for a meal if buying say 3 cheese coneys. With gas prices and everything going up, I don't see the business model surviving for the long term. The one in our town has been rather empty compared to how it was pre pandemic. I hope they don't let inflation take out a good business model. We enjoy the food a lot but there are many other options so we hope they will be more competitive in the future.
I'd seen this little restaurant two and a half years ago, the last time we came to the Ark Encounter, and I had been yearning to try it ever since. I finally got to, our last day in the area, and it was delightful! My brother and I tried the chili spaghetti, and it was delicious! It had a really good flavor, and even a little spice, making it really enjoyable to eat! I hope I get to come back on our next trip, I want another bowl of that chili spaghetti!
Great Coney and really nice employees. It’s nice to see a place where everyone working is smiling. Jordan even took the time to double check my drink preference
I decided to stop while passing through on my way home to Indiana. The food was really good, the waitress was really nice and the restaurant and restroom was nearly spotless. I would definitely stop here again if close by.
