What a great lunch! This place has amazing food and service!
Being a former restaurant manager and in the business many years, I am very picky about where I eat and I pay very close attention to the service and atmosphere while dining. The Dutch Family Restaurant is what every place I have ever worked or managed strived to be. The service is friendly and prompt. The food is down home cooking at its best with huge portions. Everything I have eaten there is as fresh as I have had without picking it out of the garden myself. The manager Ruthy is as pleasant a person I have ever met and always makes you feel like you have been friends for years and treats you like family. I cannot say enough good things and cannot think of anything negative to say except they are only open Thursday through Sunday. To everyone at the Dutch Family Restaurant, thank you! Your smiles and hard work do not go unnoticed and are very much appreciated. Keep it up!

Perfect breakfast selections! Huge portions! The busy Saturday morning we dined however found us missing an entre our table ordered. The staff was quick to recover!
If you have the time to stop in here, or even if you are just grabbing food for the road, I highly recommend the hot pastrami sandwich. Delish!
The line waiting to get in is a good indicator of how good the food and service is. The portions are what I am used to seeing back home in Texas. I highly recommend this restaurant. Walk off your meal shopping afterwards. There's a furniture store, butcher shop, an outstanding lunch counter, candy shop, fresh market, deli counter, bakery, and creamery. Come hungry!
Great food and great service! Very reasonable price. I would recommend going to this place on Thursday and Friday evening since it’s packed all day on Saturday. Rueben sandwich and roast beef are must have!
Omg everything was so delicious. We had breakfast and I was so satisfied. The parfait was amazing. Bacon, eggs, and potatoes all were delicious. Highly recommend.
Excellent homemade meals at fantastic prices. Come half an hour early at least to be guaranteed a first go at a table. Had to wait for service, but more than worth it.

Nice location inside the Dutch market. The homemade food is delicious. The breakfast is a bit on the greasy side but good. Prices are kind of high though.
The staff is very friendly and nice. The food was amazing. We we're leaving Washington DC and were looking for a place to eat and stumbled on this gem. Everything from their fresh salads, Turkey melt, Chicken Cheese Steak, Crab Cake sandwich, and the Fish and Chips. This is a small sample of the great food the Dutch Family Restaurant serves. It is a little off the beaten path but WELL WORTH IT!!!
Had great wings, potato salad, coleslaw, pickled beets,and oh my the custard was so good!

They were very busy, and we were treated with respect and courtesy.
Servers are super attentive in the best ways. I would say their food is like high end diner food that you'll probably crave once in a while. Husband loved the fried oyster sandwich, said it wasn't too heavy. I had red white and blue pancakes (instead of waffles) and had leftovers for days. I also ordered a side of home fries and macaroni salad for both of us to try, which were great. We bought more of the macaroni salad around the corner to bring home for later. Cranberry juice was typical, but husband said his hot chocolate probably wasn't worth the price even though they used mini marshmallows and whipped cream. I would double check that your booth gets the seats wiped down when you're seated during a rush, it wasn't horrible but had a lot of crumbs.
