Such a cool vibe. Female singer during brunch was awesome. Our server was really on top of it, made sure our drinks were never empty and that our food was brought pretty quickly for a Saturday brunch time. She was super friendly which made the whole experience awesome.
I went with my two boys for lunch on a Friday, and they loved it. The food was excellent. They also serve a great Negroni and a variety of cocktails. The space is welcoming with beautiful decor. We didn’t have to wait to be seated, and the food came quickly and was very tasty.
This was a nice place. Food was tasty & drinks were really good. I really liked all the drinks! Bursting with flavor & super spicy on the spicy ones so be careful if that’s not your thing! Would definitely return to try more menu items!
Delicious food, our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Could have done without the belligerent drunk guy throwing up by the bathroom. Maybe cut people off before it gets to that point.
Good food and great atmosphere. We had non alcoholic drinks that were amazing! My only complaint is the shrimp was overcooked. It was really rubbery. Everything else was good.
Went for Sunday brunch. Great atmosphere with live musician playing/singing. Food was excellent and came out very quick. Highly recommend the banana bread French toast.
Service was exceptional and very friendly.
Lovely group dinner In the private room. Staff was very professional and food was delicious. The mini peanut butter cheesecakes were awesome.
Update: Cool bar, we didn't eat any food. I just had a beer. We went back last night for my birthday dinner, the food was awesome. I forgot to take a pic of my ribs they were delicious, as well as the Chicken pasta, and vegetarian curry. They had pumkin soft serve for my birthday dessert 🎂 with candied bacon and it was also awesome.
I was in love with their pastrami sandwich on a pretzel bread! We visited this place twice, however the second time we did not enter. Even though the restaurant was half empty, the person at the door informed us that there were no tables available at the time.
Definitely 5 stars for food, but overall 4 because of lacking service.
We went to the Gilbert location as a group of 8 people for Father's Day at 3:00 p.m. Since we were there early, the restaurant was not busy. Despite the fact that we had a reservation, the host staff did not seem ready for us. In their youthfulness, the host staff does not seem to understand the struggles of guests with mobility issues. While they tried to sort out where to seat our group, my dad was left in the entrance area clinging to his walker for balance. When we were directed to the table, a staff member did not step aside to allow my dad an easily navigatible path. There was some confusion regarding who would be our server, but it was eventually determined that Harley would be assigned to our group. The drink menu is more extensive than the food menu. The drinks are good with one odd exception: they do not have ginger ale on tap and tried to substitute a combination of Coke and Sprite. We then asked if they served Ginger Beer, which they did. As a server, Harley was friendly and had a great sense of humor. We ordered many items off the menu: Chicken Katsu, Pub Burger, Salmon, Fish and Chips, Vegan Curry (modified with shrimp, Meatloaf, Sliced Beef Sandwich, Brussel Sprouts, Pretzel Bites, Popcorn Shrimp, Toasted Bread with Balsamic. With drinks, our bill was just over $300 which was fair for the size of our party. After dinner, Harley escorted us outside and took a picture of our group. Parking is easy and free in the nearby garage. It was easy to drop off and pick up my dad right at the door so he didn’t have to walk far.
Met some friends here for lunch. My husband had the Roasted Squash Ravioli with Steak and I had the Pub Burger. We were both very pleased with our meals. Both had a lot of flavor. The burger was juicy, not dry at all. We went around 11 on a weekday. It was slightly busy but we had no wait to get in.
For my birthday I wanted to try something new so my 2 brothers, their significant others, my husband and I decided to try this place.
As soon as we arrived the atmosphere of both the restaurant and the waitress was as if they were welcoming friends inside its doors. Our waitress was spot on our whole visit. Our glasses were never empty and she made sure everything was as it should be.
The food was amazing. I can't remember what we all ordered but it turned into a taste testing as we all passed around bites of our food for others to try. My burger was perfectly made to a medium rare and the flavor keeps me wanting to go back, living in Northern AZ makes that difficult.
We all left very happy and extremely satisfied with our entire experience. Once I get the chance I will be going again.
Service was slow, but Tim was pleasant. They had just changed their HH to start at 3pm, but hours earlier their website said 2pm.
My companions raved about the meatloaf sloppy joe and would get again. The kid's cheeseburger was beyond well done and the bottom of the fry basket fries disappointing. They did not have a HH Chardonnay and I was surprised when a regular glass of it cost $18.
We counted eight tables that hadn't been cleared in an hour.
We will visit again on a future trip and hope for improvements.
WOW. A huge thanks to Tess, Nicole, Bre, and LoLo for an absolutely amazing business team dinner for our group of over 40. Their event packages are worth every penny, we received excellent and attentive service in our private room, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating to our guests. Our group talked about the high quality of service and food all day at our meetings the next day. You guys really knocked it outta the park with our visit, and I am so glad we chose Culinary Dropout in Gilbert. Professional and easy to coordinate from beginning to end - they really took a load off my mind by handling this so well for us! -Rebecca, Mercie J Auto Care
I’ve heard of this place for years but never did enough advanced planning to get a reservation that worked for us. Busy after being around for years is often a good sign.
This time we planned fat in advance and got in. However, prior to getting there, we checked the reviews that were recent, and we’re very concerned that it said the wait staff was rude or rushed time or overall created a bad experience. I will admit, this had me a bit concerned
However, we continued with our plans And showed up one person short. I was hoping they would not have an issue with five of six people showing up. And they did not. He showed up an hour later.
Well, I can tell you, the concerns about the weight staff were completely unwarranted. Our waitress was fabulous. She made the entire experience a sheer joy. The food on the other hand was incredible.
Take a look at the pictures and you’ll understand what I mean; there was not a bad meal on the table!
The food was excellent. The atmosphere was charming. The musician playing live music was excellent. The waitress was stupendous, and the food was a Culinary Delight.
And to top it off, for the birthday boy, they brought a large monkey bread that we could all share.
Yes, of course will be back and we’ll be sending others as well.
We have come 3 times and loved it every time. The vibe is great. The live music is so fun. The food is 🤩. We can get a same day reservation! Des, the manager was so extra kind to us tonight when we misplaced something. I’m a fan forever!
Very cool restaurant with a ton space. Super kid and Family friendly. Went with a group of friends while in town from Chicago. We ordered a few old fashion cocktails, which were about 6/10. Drinkable but not mixed well. But the star of the show was the steak. Which was cooked to perfection and tasted heavenly!! Would definitely go back when in town.
We had heard good things about Culinary Dropout so we gave it a try. It has an open, college-town bar feel. And while we heard good reviews, what we didn't hear was how outstanding their fried chicken dinner was. I'm glad I ordered it because THAT'S how you create a tasty breaded coating to give some much needed flavor to the chicken. The 36-hour ribs were good, too, although my personal preference is for smoked ribs.
