First time here and it was good, but more to be desired. Chips and salsa were ok, chips a bit stale. The #8 combo was excellent, loved the chili relleno. The tacos on the otherhand were not great. Very small and maybe 2-3 small chunks of chicken in them. Service was good, started out slow, but rest was perfect. Very clean inside, not the type of vibe I was expecting, but pleasant.
Overall good restaurant, but feel there are better close by.
Recommend trying it, as lots of people do love it.
We ate at this restaurant again today. It has great food and service. You could eat off of the floor and the food would still taste great! I have NEVER SEEN A CLEANER OPPERATION. The restrooms are so clean my wife wanted me to go in and look, just to see how clean they are!

Delicious new joint! Loved the service and the food was great! I had nachos and my hubby had a shredded beef burro. They did forget the beans on my nachos and waiting for them my nachos got cold. But they were still yummy!
The very best mining town Mexican food. This place is super clean, the service is honest and the flavors are on point. The green corn tamales are especially good.

Casa Reynoso has the best beans! My go to is a bean burro enchilada style with the red sauce.
Other reviews upset that this isn't authentic mexican food, well this is even better! Its 'Miami-Globe' style.
Sometimes service is a little slow due to low staff and tons of take out orders but its always friendly service and worth the wait.
I just wish the prices were as low as Miami-globe locations, but that won't stop me from visiting as often as I can and supporting the family business.
Place is always clean, even the bathroom is decorated nicely.
Went to XJ's with a family friend from out of town, we both ordered the same thing. Combination plate with a cheese enchilada, red chili burro (burrito) and chili relleno. Food was simply amazing! Went and had it again with my aunt; she loved the food and the atmosphere! Definitely a must!
We absolutely love this place. Everything is yummy especially the salsa. But you better be a snowbird. They now close so early, even on the weekend. For us that work and have to travel from Phoenix you can’t hardly catch them open. Too bad - we’ve been eating with this family for 20 +years. Get back to normal
This is THE best Mexican food you'll find in Gilbert. It is a local, Arizona regional variety of Mexican food called "Globe-Miami style." Everything is great. The #5, #7, Charro Burro Xavier's Way, and Machaca Chimichanga Xavier's Way are personal (and family) favorites. Enjoy!
The Casa Reynoso restaurants are the only places I go for Mexican food. XJ's is top notch. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, quick service, and reasonable prices. I've met a lot of the Reynoso family and they are great people. Oh, the #5 is the only way to go, I've eaten several hundred of them.
This was our first time at this restaurant and we were blown away at how good the food was and the service was extraordinary. We will definitely be making this lovely family owned restaurant a regular spot for enjoying great Mexican food.
