Review Rooftop 120 - Glastonbury

I have no idea what the hype is. Nice hang area if you sit by the bar. Ambiance not bad inside as well. However the food.....???? We ordered 2 burgers which were both severely undercooked. We asked for medium and they were both burnt outside and rare inside (and my husband is not the type to send food back), an order of Tacos and Pasta primavera which had no seasoning whatsoever. The appitizers were tasty but not worth entree prices. I will say the drinks were pretty yummy and the service was great. But if you're coming for edible food.... Just don't.

Went out for a date night with the wife, had cocktails and appetizers. The old fashion was perfect and the calamari was delicious. Ended the night by dropping my phone under the deck. I was able to get in contact with the owner. He allowed me and the maintenance guy to retrieve it. Love the vibe here. Will definitely be returning for live music and food.

Went there once and done! Nice environment and good drinks. It was a good Friday night to hang out with wife, watch the band perform, and have a good time. The band finished around 11:30pm and everyone was literally kicked out of that place by their rude security staff. They made customers feel so uncomfortable with their actions that we all have to leave the place. It was shocking since we haven't seen that kind of treatment anywhere else.

I came here with a friend on a Thursday afternoon to get some good happy hour that we saw posted on their site. Unfortunately when we got there we found out there wasn't any happy hour and only full pricing at the bar. A little disappointing since we saw it on their site online. But we sat outside which was very pretty, they have a nice bar and seating. The doors and windows were all open and since it was 90 degrees it was a little hot, but the occasional breeze made it ok. The bar tender was nice and checked on us frequently to make sure we were all set. I got a gin and soda which ended up being $10 which I found very expensive, so just keep that in mind when you order something that isn't on the menu. Overall its alright, a little pricey. I'd come back if they had happy hour specials.

Would be 5 stars, loved everything about this place but one employee ruined it. The bald “gentleman” who I believe was the bar manager was disrespectful beyond belief to his bartenders. I was drinking at the bar and just listening to the way he talked to his employees made me sick. I can’t believe anyone would work for that guy. Get rid of that guy and you’ve got yourselves a great spot!

We had such a great time! The drinks were good, service prompt, and music banging! I definitely recommend Rooftop for a night out.

This is a very weirdly posh place. We went in thinking it'd be a moderately classy/upscale restaurant and when we got there it was like this fake California style rich person decor thrown up all over the walls and tables, like somebody got confused between edgy and modern. Red snakeskin wallpaper by the bathroom, gold marble by the main dining, fake plant backdrop in the entry.. oh and they had a dress code for guests. Just a strange mishmash of ideas. Well, we had a reservation and thought we'd give it a try cause we were there already. We were greeted by a very drunk and very large group of mostly college girls, who appeared to be finishing up- but stayed loudly shouting and having shots and talking about he said she said and were still having fits of drama and laughing until after we were gone. Our server Kendra relieved us with a down to earth attitude for a while but the whole atmosphere ended up changing things down the road. I went with her off menu suggestion and got a spicy Thai chicken sandwich and a side of sweet potato tater tots. My S.O. got chicken tacos and we shared calamari as well as crispy shrimp tacos. The chicken sandwich wasn't great, the chicken itself tasted like weird fry oil and the thai sauce was very very very sweet. We each took a bite and I later ordered the salmon, subtly adding in that the sandwich was too sweet for me and I might get it boxed. I was pretty shy to mention anything but my S.O. said she'd probably comp part of it and take it away if I ordered the salmon anyway. She did not. Oh well. The tacos were decent, they are the kind you get in Cali where it's very light and not really like a taco. Good though. The chipotle aioli was nice. The calamari was super rubbery and barely warm like it had been cooked many hours ago. The spicy marinara was great though and helped get us over the texture.. Sweet potato tots are good. The salmon was AWESOME and fries were ok but broccoli was visibly burnt brown and dry in several spots. We had the caramel brownie cheesecake and the seven layer chocolate cake as well. I'd go for the seven layer if you come here. Drinks are the main redeeming factor. Between the two of us we had 2 Juicy beer, Old fashioned, Strawberry Fields and Rooftop Cosmo. They were all pretty good. But for the most part? I'd say save your money unless you're here just for drinks in the outdoor seating. We couldn't eat outside since it had started raining shortly before we arrived.

I was very upset... I got there at 10:50... they had live ban playing $10 to go in.. ok cool... by 11:10 the ban was packing up like really 😒..

This was our second visit this month, we were excited to see a new menu and chef. The small plates were incredible, a great variety and flavor to presentation were perfect. Our dinners, salmon and short ribs were delicious. We will be dreaming of the lobster ravioli until we can return again. We even enjoyed the fires on the rooftop after dinner... Incredible staff, fantastic food, and swanky decor make this restaurant a gem. It was worth the 45 minute ride.

I came for the latin night. The atmosphere was great and Mariisa lavoz singer was great. The waitress was great. My issue was the latin food and drink. Please, if your going to serve latin appetizer such as tostones know the difference between tostones and sweet platain. Also mojito drink, you really got to mash the mint to get the mint oil out. It was weak. Please get a latin chef or look into foodnetwork recipe. This is why I gave it a 3 star.

It was a nice atmosphere food was good a little pricey but worth it! Went on a Saturday they had a DJ at 9 not horrible music, no dance area though...I'm sure once it gets warmer and the patio is open there will be more room and places to dance.

Went to Rooftop to celebrate my sisters birthday. The service from the point of entry to the end was exceptional. I had the salmon, which was amazing.. let me not forget the cocktails. I had a drink call paradise.. absolutely delicious.

Rooftop 120 has never disappointed. From the drinks made by the bar tending staff, the great service from the waitstaff and the live music and events. There really is no better place that we’ve found to spend a summer afternoon. Can’t wait for the fall and the crazy popular wine dinners to start back up! If you haven’t checked out this gem high above Glastonbury you need to, we’ve found it perfect for Girl’s night out.

After a long night at a charity event we stopped by Rooftop for a quick cocktail. Tyler was as always welcoming and attentive and quick with service even making sure we got a chance to order food before the kitchen closed. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was hopping for late on a Thursday night. Definitely a place to check out in Glastonbury if you're looking for a different place for a cocktail.

Love this place. Wonderful people, great atmosphere, good food, awesome drinks. Who could ask for more? Tyler really keeps this place at an A-Game status.

Went for New Year's Eve to watch 5 Stories Up bring in the new year with live music. I had a blast. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp and Angel's Envy bourbon on the rocks. Spent the evening at the bar with a packed house. The bartenders did a great job keeping bourbon in front of me.

Long-awaited review of #TheRooftop120 in #GlastonburyCT. I 1st experienced Beth Dubeau - beer tasting in the CT building up the Big E this past fall. She invited me to #CTVisit what I will call an #upscale modern infusion of New York City in the suburbs. My first taste test was; "120 Blood Orange" Sky infusions, Blood Orange 🍊 vodka, orange purée, orange juice, prosecco. Delicious 😋 A+ made by Beth Dubeau My second taste was out of this world, only way to describe it, is you have to stop on down to experience the elation & Shangri-La this drink has to offer. The staff, manager Kara Jane were extremely hospitable. Love them! "Indian Summer" Tito Vodka, lemon simple syrup, muddled mint, lemon 🍋
