Review Glen Gardner General Store - Glen Gardner

Cristiano Davila
This spot is the one I like best. I go to many restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The crew is very cordial and the cooking they place on your table is so yummy. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

From fair-trade coffee brewed fresh to homemade sausage gravy and biscuits, omelettes however you want, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, you name it...Shelly and Rich sure know how to make a customer happy and FULL. You're always guaranteed organic, locally sourced vegetables and fruits, farm-fresh meat that Shelly cooks herself (!!!), and great chat with the friendly owners. Everything is made to order, fresh just for you; the one complaint I have is that they don't ship to London, UK! However, that just makes every visit back to the States that much more exciting, I always look forward to my next delicious breakfasts and lunches at the Glen Gardner General Store (because of course I can't just go once per trip!).

Shelly the owner is a pleasure to talk to and gives the general store a friendly and homey vibe. Her sandwiches are thick and generously portioned. I’d advise everyone passing by on 31 to stop by here and give this place a shot. Totally worth it!

Fresh ingredients, exceptionally prepared food, charming atmosphere, and staff who were very friendly and attentive. The herbs in my eggs were homegrown. I asked the owner about them and she said that all of her herbs are grown in her garden during the summer and dried for winter. I'd definitely go back again.

I was introduced to pork roll while dining here and it was by far the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten, hands down. The store itself has a cozy and hospitable feel, which is hard to find in the the northeast, and the owner is really helpful and kind. I can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu - challah French toast with homemade sausage on the side!? Yes please!

We know the owners, they are friendly people. If you want a nice change come and get a sandwich, or a platter breakfast. Great food.

This spot is worth a visit. They have large portions for fair prices. Always well organized and with awesome atmosphere. Will come back again.

I love the small town atmosphere of the store and Rich makes a great pork roll egg and cheese sandwich.

This place is a gem in an area lacking good food. Their breakfast food is the best I've ever had and the ingredients are fresh locally sourced. I highly recommend this place.
