Very nice intimate space. Started out with the frisée salad with bacon and poached egg with mustard vinaigrette. Excellent. I had the scallops for the main coarse with puréed cauliflower and ramps. I enjoyed this combination. Nice saltiness. Only wish I had room for dessert. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. I probably should have done the half portion so I would have had room for dessert. All homemade by the chef's wife.

Amazing! Every course was a gem. Really enjoyed the small plate options which allowed us to try more in one meal. Can't wait to get back!

Absolutely amazing! The food, drinks and service were all exceptional. Fairly pricey but we'll worth the 3 week reservation wait!

A Definite Must. I was in Gloucester this past week for work and ate here one night. The quality of food here is amazing and the service is nothing but the best. To begin I had a bowl of the creamy mushroom soup which was fantastic. For my meal I ordered the monkfish. I've never had monkfish before and wasn't sure what to expect but I loved it, it was cooked to perfection and had an amazing flavor. This restaurant is a definite must. Next time I am in the Boston area, I will definitely be coming back here.

Awesome place for a quality takeout meal experience! I knew Duckworth's as a bistro and while that is SADLY missed, its newest incarnation is not to be missed. A great addition to (East) Gloucester! We had two entrée dishes: 1. steak with chimichurri sauce and roasted sweet potatoes as well as 2. smoked pork belly tacos with some amazing roasted green tomato sauce, pickled onion and salsa sides. Pricing is fair since what you are getting is innovative, full meals. And the portions are right. Next time we will pick up some baked goods, desserts, and/or fresh bread (from Iggy's of Boston). The store itself is adorable, with fun sundries to buy: kitchen towels, straw hats, glassware, etc. They have a few tables to sit at if you prefer to eat there but we were just looking for an easy evening meal. Also, we ran into some of the original DW bistro staff, notably Michelle who was at the register. Congrats on the new endeavor, DW team, and those looking for a good meal, stop in!

One of my favorite chef-owned restaurants and purveyors of great food. Quality Takeout now in 2023 and was our favorite place years ago for dine-in! Keep it going, and Congratulations!

Not yet had a meal from Duckworth's that wasn't fantastic. I'll always drive the extra miles (from Manchester), because it's a cut above everywhere else.

Always the finest time here. Service is impeccable. The menu is not gigantic, but every single thing on it is something I want to eat! Lovely wine list. Home made super decadent desserts (I’m lookin at you chocolate bourbon pecan pie!) finished off our amazing meal. Been going for more than a decade and never have had a bad bite. Bravo!

This is where we go to celebrate. The best restaurant I've been to on the North Shore. The food is delicious (we've been here 5 or 6 times and it's consistently excellent), and this is the place to pair it with a bottle of wine. Our waiter has been knowledgeable and kind. The setting is intimate, so get a reservation well ahead of time.

Excellent. They were so accommodating of my wife's gluten intolerance. Many gluten free options, and each better than the next. Service was perfect, they spent so much longer than they needed to talking through the changing menu items. I grew up 10 minutes away and couldn't believe I'd never been.

Went here for dinner with my aunt and cousin. Our server Colleen was awesome! Super friendly and put us at ease. The food was amazing. We ordered all the salads. The frize was the favorite. We split three half portions of entrees. Hanger stake was killer, duck was delicious, and the salmon was to die for. Recommend all three l. Finished the meal with a Banana cake. WOW. Also love the half/full portion option.

I was taken there to celebrate my Birthday. What an experience! Everything was fantastic. Between the 3 of us, we had the Salmon, Mushroom soup, the cesar Salad, Fish Stew (i think) and we had to try more than one dessert! Banana Cake was to die for; Bread pudding was so good I did not want to share.. I can't say enough about the food and the service. I can't wait to go again.

Simply the best dining experience we've enjoyed on the North Shore, it's our destination of choice for special occasions. Every dish is exquisitely prepared, cooked perfectly and the wait staff impeccable. We're not connoisseurs, but healthy veggie types who always enjoy their good food and friendly setting.

Service was excellent; our waiter was patient and explained everything. Leave a large budget, though! Even without desserts (and with half a glass of wine each) it came to $90. I had excellent salmon with carrot sauce, roasted carrots, and risotto. Most importantly, you can get EVERYTHING in a half portion (even the wine!) There are only 10 tables so make a reservation! Also had wonderful soups (we tried the creamy mushroom and also a cold cucumber soup.) I highly recommend Duckworth's.

Excellent service and incredible food. Every dish on the table was perfect. Really loved that we were asked to order everything at the same time so the kitchen could build our meal and plan it out. Nice element.

Fantastic. Simply the most culinary restaurant in all of Gloucester. Though pricey, you get what you pay for and they give the option of half-portions. The soup, the bread, the entree, and even the desert were very good. As picky as I am on restaurant coffee, they had a good cup o’ joe. All other restaurants with 5 stars tend to be inflated. Try this restaurant first then measure up the others.

Duckworth’s is amazing. The quality of the food is only outdone by the friendliness of the staff. The duck breast is delicious and my go to entree but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything they serve. Reservations are hard to come by so plan ahead with a call, you won’t be disappointed.

Best food on the North Shore. Literally everything on the menu is beyond delicious. Even the salads are special. Do -not- miss the carrot cake.

Ken and Nichole Duckworth continue to deliver outrageous meals at terrific prices. You can have half of most entrees (and even half a salad!). And they will pour a half glass of wine. All the staff are wonderful, warm, accommodating. They greet their customers as though they were old family members.
