Went for lunch on a Friday, everyone I was with loved their meals. I got the BLTT with broccoli slaw.
Was able to come back for breakfast a few months later. So so good, definitely recommend. Great sweet and savory breakfast options. Friendly staff.

The menu accommodates all taste palettes and has a variety of different style pancakes, French Toast and Eggs Benedict selections which I loved. I ordered two breakfasts for the perfect 1st time experience here of salty and sweet with the Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict and the Monkey Bread French Toast... amazing!!!! Our server Rachel was great and attentive. We were seated pretty quickly. On street parking is available. If you're staying locally close in town it's convenient to walk to and is around other restaurants and shopping stores. Would definitely come back.

One of my favorite break spots in the North Shore. Always a great assortment of pancakes, omelets and healthy choices. Staff is very pleasant. Parking can be tricky depending on the day of the week and prices are high for breakfast, but worth the trip for a breakfast treat!

Very tasty omelet and eggs! Well cooked bacon and nice service. The crab cakes were tasty, but not crab lumpy enough for my taste. Everything else was great!

The food here is EXCEPTIONAL, and dining here is ALWAYS worth the wait. I highly recommend the porridge, the pancakes, the eggs bene, and also the crazy monkey French toast!

I got the lobster benedict and it was amazing. It was a little pricey but they did not skimp on the lobster at all. Taking one star off bc they don't serve brunch or breakfast very late and our hostess even told us that everyone that goes there usually wants breakfast

Excellent customer service! My husband and I found this place while taking a trip to Gloucester, and even though it is a little far from our house, we keep coming back because of the delicious food and great customer service. We also love how the menu is constantly changing with the seasons.
Most recently, we had the salmon benedict and autumn harvest quesadilla. The Benedict had generous portions of salmon, perfectly poached eggs and delicious hollandaise sauce, and had a spicy buffalo type sauce for the tater tots. The autumn harvest quesadilla was stuffed with squash and was accompanied by a tasty homemade salsa. The quesadillas are one of the things that are always changing. I look forward to going back and seeing what is next.

Love the decor, busy for breakfast but worth the wait. Great benedicts! Unfortunate hours, though. No service after 1:00 was a disappointment.

Great breakfasts! It's usually very busy, often times a wait for seating. On the pricey side, but delicious food.
Staff is very friendly but VERY busy. They do get your coffee to you right away, though! Again, it might take a bit longer to order (because they're packed), but the food comes out quickly. Huge portions!
Atmosphere is eclectic and fun, nice original art. The only downside is that it's very noisy and echoey. The building is really nice otherwise.

Not a single bad thing can be said about this place. If you want to know if the food is good, I have yet to taste a better breakfast in the area. If you want to know about service, this place is about respect, show some and get some. These ladies do not spare the charm or service. I was want for nothing. Perfectly cooked food in a sweet little spot. Some tables and a few 2 spots. Busy for a reason. Tip these women! They deserve it and work hard for it. Tip... Crunchy french toast is bigger than it looks, and you will find it hard to find a better Benedict. If you are in Gloucester around breakfast time do yourself a favor and you can thank me later.

Excellent! Wonderful staff ,very friendly and outgoing, helpful! My friend and I saw the sign and decided it looked good. We were starving and parched from visiting the area. It was packed and there was one table open. We asked what time they closed, a half hour...! We ordered the first thing on the menu, curry chicken salad and a fruit bowl, iced tea.
We got our iced tea, excellent! Bold taste, so refreshing and also a free refill! We are both iced tea snobs 😊 so were very delighted !! Our food was brought out 10 minutes after ordering.
It was incredible! Huge bowl of fresh fruit! Blueberries, fresh pineapple, green apple slices, bananas, strawberries, honeydew, cantaloupe, grapes. It also came with a creamy vinaigrette on the side. Everything was fresh and delicious! The curry chicken salad had dried cranberries and almond slices, mayo.
It actually tasted like the kind I make at home. $12 for the generous portions! Super friendly wait staff and customers as well! We will definitely be back!!

Amazing fast service, delicious flavored hot coffee I had the pumpkin 🎃 spice 😋 the sail ⛵ room dividers are a very nice touch, chic and adds some privacy/intimacy. 💖💜

Delicious food, kind staff, and a wonderful Gloucester themed atmosphere make Sugar Magnolias a MUST HAVE breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant! Counter seating is available for singles or duos, but most tables accomodate four to six people, with their window seat able to accomodate larger parties. One of my favorite restaurants of all time!

Visiting for the day and came across this restaurant as highly rated and decided to give it a try. Amazing food, huge menu with lot of options and attentive service by Amy! We highly recommend and would come back in a second!!

I'm sorry I didn't have lunch here sooner! This place is busy for a good reason. The food is delicious, I particularly loved the Green Giant rap and broccoli slaw. I would love to recreate them at home but so much better just to go have it on site!

I had the Western Ave omelet. It was just the right size and very good. We never had to ask for more coffee our waitress was on the ball even though it was very busy. I highly recommend Sugar Magnolias you won't be disappointed

This is one of the best breakfast shops I've ever been to. They have a fantastic menu with a great variety of interesting choices as well as the traditional breakfast choices.

We spent 2 weeks in America and experienced such good food everywhere we went. But for me, my Goatie omelette (followed by an almond joy pancake as I just couldn't choose one thing from the incredible menu!) was the stand out meal of the holiday. Breakfast if another level!

A five-star experience, for sure! We had omelettes toast and potatoes, with excellent coffee to go with it. Service was perfect! And, of course, we both came with our Grateful Dead shirts on!
Can't wait to come back and try this place for lunch!
Michael Delzingo
We drive 35 miles each way to come.
The best breakfast place around.

Great food, great coffee! Try the pork shoulder hash worth the cornbread, and the eggs are huge! My wife got the Portuguese bread French toast and that was awesome too!
Stacie Huff
Awesome place and staff....a gem we stumbled upon on our trip to Gloucester! We loved the pineapple fritters, lobster benedict, and Georgia's toast!!
Erin May
The food was amazing. We came in shortly before closing, the staff couldn’t have been nicer.
Jerry Georgopolis
Outstanding food !! I love the Sweet Bread French Toast !!! On top of the food, excellent service !! Give it a shot when in Gloucester, I don't think you will regret it.
Tansu Demirbilek
The breakwater, irish bene, and carrot cake pancakes. There is nothing better in the world. And i am not exaggerating.
James D. Aspesi
The place is by far the best breakfast on the North Shore!!!
Deb Sharkey
Busy, crowded & loud, that said, I'd go back anytime, the food and our waitress were great!!
Emily Coyle
Walked out after waiting 45+ minutes for an egg sandwich and sunny side up egg dish on a Tuesday morning. Unfortunately in all that time the waitress didn’t stop by to apologize or even fill our coffee cups, despite that being the only beverages we ordered. I’ve had good breakfasts here before (reason for 2 stars and not one) but this experience really turned me off. Now I’m hungry AND late for work
Lori Forbes-Bousquet
Omg....I would drive back across the state just for breakfast!!!!!
Amanda Bacon
Great food, generous portions, friendly service! Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend the almond joy pancakes!

I went to Glucester, MA last October for Halloween festivities around the Mass. area.... Besides the point, I STILL have dreams about Sugar Magnolias and their amazing brunch. My partner and I keep talking about it, potentially making another trip just for Suagr Magnolias alone. :-)
