Really Impressive Food at a good price. Lobster Roll, Chowder and Fish were all delicious. This local restaurant should be your go to if you want the real stuff.
Travellers, this place is a solid diner they serves delicious food. There are many classic New England seafood dishes here and several unexpected surprises. The diner is small but has a big menu and lots of specials. There was a wait when we arrived but we got our seats at the counter. Service is wi
I consider myself a strawberry shortcake aficionado of sorts. I've tried diners all over New England, eating the different variations of this beloved dessert. In my opinion, the only way to prepare strawberry shortcake is with fresh, homemade biscuits - not with cheap sponge cake like so many places
Got the fish and tips. I’ve had better! Anyways, come check it out for yourselves and make your own judgements.
My husband and I stopped in around 2 pm after driving up from Mystic. We went in and it looked like all the little cafes I recall from “the last century”. It was wonderful! They had fried smelts. This is not available in Savannah. (As I said we were on a food vacation eating all the things that are
Charlie's Place in Gloucester is a good place for fried seafood. I have been there many times over the years. Today I had the fried clams, and my wife had the fried scallops from the takeout menu. A 2-minute drive away is Good Harbor Beach where we sat and ate our food. The menu has many choices for
Huge yummy portions. My husband and I could have ordered 1 Gloucester fish sandwich and shared it. Small order of onion rings could feed 3-4. Going back!!
Went for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The lobster roll and crab cake BLT were delicious with generous portions. We finished being too full for dessert!
Started going to Charlie's as a kid visiting my grandparents in the summer. I haven't been in Massachusetts in over 20 years and finally brought my own kids for a long weekend. We HAD to stop in and Charlie's and it did not disappoint.
We were here on Vaca from 8/26/23-9/1/23 the service from Charlie's Place is absolutely incredible they are fast and I mean fast...the food is so delicious and they give you way more than you expect...the guys and girls are some of the most friendly and accommodating we have ever come across..absolu
This is a really cute little old school cafe. They have an extensive menu, very reasonable prices. We were very pleased with our choices.
Quaint little restaurant with decent prices. Service was exceptional. I would recommend it to anyone that is extremely hungry as the portion sizes are huge.
Food was tasty, cooked just right. Service was super friendly. I had the fried haddock and it was honestly some of the best I have had in the region. I even splurged on the New England Grapenut Custard. If you have room for it you should definitely give it a try.
Usually very good. But, waitress wrote down the order incorrectly. So, it took a while. I still miss real , moist oysters and the fish chowder from a few years ago( the broth was the best I ever had. Too me, it tasted like oyster broth.
