I recently discovered Holy Cow on the way home from a beach trip with my family. I promised my oldest son, Sam, an ice cream cone if he helped me bring our beach chairs back to the car. I’ve never seen him move that fast! Lol. The staff at Holy Cow was excellent-very patient with us as we agonized over which flavor we’d pick. The owner, I think his name is Matt, was beyond helpful and charming. After much debate, I ended up going with Vanilla and my wife got the Green Monster Ice Cream Sandwich. She said it was “literally amazing”. My kids loved their little waffle cones. I highly recommend this “hidden gem of the Northshore of Boston” to everyone!
My family was in town for a baseball tournament around the corner. We were looking for a place to get IceCream on our way home and with Googles help we found this hidden gem�
The ordering/payment process was simple and organized. The staff was so nice and got us our ice creams quickly and they were all made correctly � The IceCream itself was AMAZING!!!! And lastly the prices were affordable. I would highly recommend Holy Cow��And my only negative about this place is that it's over an hour and a half away from our house. Which could be a good thing because if it was nearby, we'd probably have to make daily visits to test out each yummy flavor �
My absolute favorite ice cream parlor! Holy Cow not only has the best ice cream flavors but delish ice cream sandwiches and shakes. Such friendly, fun staff who go out of their way to make you exactly what you're craving.
Holy Cow has the best cold brew I've ever tasted! Not to mention, the cereal shakes are the bomb. Fruity Pebbles shake, what's better than that? Ice cream sandwiches are innovative and delish. My favorite spot for sure.
We found this place last year on vacation and it was at the top of our list to return this year. We went three days in a row. Oops.
My fiancé and I placed a catering order with Mike the owner. There website states to do it a week in advance but with all of our rushing around and what not our order was kind of last minute. But I’ll tell you Mike was very reasonable and nice and he was able to place our order for 25 ice cream sandwiches. They were a HUGE hit at our party! Thank you so much holy cow!!!

My family's first time here, and our first ice cream parlor visit since moving to Massachusetts from NJ/NY, and it was awesome! Found it on a whim, looking for the closest ice cream spot, and so glad we did. The man was so nice, deff gave bigger scoops than expected, and gave our daughter extra sprinkles without asking. It is deff the best tasting anything we have experienced since moving to Gloucester a few months ago. Cannot wait to take our oldest daughter next time.
Went here while waking around Gloucester and so glad I did! The shoppe was so cute and everything we ordered was delicious!! I got the ice cream taco and the cone shell was amazing, great texture & freshly made (not to mention a Instagram worthy choice). We also tried the fruity pebble milk shake which was just as good! I will definitely stop here for treats every time I am in the area!

I got myself a great COLD BREW COFFEE this am and will no doubt make my way back to Holy Cow later on todsy. The owner ( awesome guy) told me about the home made ice cream sandwich he makes, a good reason to make way why there after the beach. ..
Finding Holy Cow while on my vacation in Gloucester; perfect! In my world there are no calories in any treat , so, .....if it is as good as he says it is..

Their peanut butter pie ice cream is absolutely delicious! Loved their window service. Brought me back to when I was a kid getting ice cream in the summertime. Was just passing through Gloucester, but I’ll definitely stop here if I’m ever back in the area!
Vanessa was awesome! She explained the different flavors and gave us some recommendations. She served us with such grace! Thank you HOLY COW and Vanessa LOVED the vegan coconut cookie ice cream with hot fudge and peanut butter! My husband took a salted caramel brownie one on a waffle cone and also loved it! Highly recommend!
Caleb is awesome! Me and my daughter went in to get ice cream for dinner and it was a great choice. Ice cream is delicious, Caleb was friendly and helpful and explained their gluten free options so we can come back with my other daughter!
The ritzy AF ice cream flavor may be a top 3 favorite!! It’s the perfect combination of crunchy & savory ritz crackers with sweet toffee. So so good and this comes from someone who doesn’t usually like sweeter ice cream flavors.
Came in for some ice cream last night with my wife and kids. Was so so impressed by the flavor selection! Everything we got was delicious. Sofia at the counter made our experience wonderful!! So friendly and knowledgeable about the flavors being served. Cannot wait to return to see more of Holy Cow and Sofia!!
I had a peanut butter sundae and loved it. So much peanutbutter sauce. We also had a waffle cone and it was warm and made to order. There was an abundance of toppings!
I got a small Vegan Strawberry (that comes with blonde Oreos) on their homemade waffle cone and could barely finish because the portion is so generous. But both ice cream and waffle cone were amazing.
Santana did a fantastic job working the store herself on this warm Saturday afternoon. She was able to serve all the customers in the store as well as the long line of people at the window. She maintained her professionalism during a very busy time. I mentioned that our party had a peanut allergy and she said she didn’t have a new tub but would use a clean ice cream scoop which I said was fine. I also noticed she washed her hands before scooping our order. Great job! Ice cream was very good too!
