Review Golden China Buffett - Goose Creek

Good choice of food. I'd have rated the food 4 stars but too many things were just lukewarm. We got there about 4:30. After the lunch rush and before dinner rush. So I expect food would be better (hot) then. The 2 giant tv screens were a surprise. One showed a beach scene and played background music. The music was soft, perfect for background. I liked it. The other screen was on a news channel with no sound. I give it 3.8 stars for atmosphere. Nice and clean too. Compared to 3 other Chinese buffets, this was definitely the best.

Great food and not a bad price really! Only issue I had was it was really hot in there. But the staff was nice and environment was nice! No complaints with food!

One of the best Chinese buffet restaurants! Huge selection to choose from, including Sushi. I enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. .... On a side note, the restaurant was very clean. Employees were very thorough and took extra measures to sanitize all surfaces. If they werent waiting tables, they were cleaning. Definitely try out this restaurant!

Went to lunch with my Queen, the establishment was clean and the staff was professional and kind, the food was good and the service was excellent, I would recommend this establishment to friends and family. Will visit again, that you.

We live down the street, been there many of times. The food is always so good, the server tonight was the best! Everyone was super nice and friendly!

TL/DR: Amazing. Just go! Do it!! Fresh food & friendly service. My grandparents have been raving about this Chinese buffet since i got into town here and we finally had the time to stop in and get a bite from quote my grandma's "favorite restaurant". When we showed up we where warmly welcomed and seated. When getting sat my grandparents got choosey and asked for a favorite booth which was available and too no issue. I joked on how cute my grandparents where. Friday night they had plenty of seating available for us. As we sat they took our drink order and before we had returned with our first plates drinks popped up on our tables. The refreshments where crisp and ice cold. The wait staff diligent in their floor duties refilling drinks and clearing plates before you get back from second trips. BTW ... The forks in ya napkin 😂🙌🍴 I was silly looking around a minute for one. The food was so fresh! Everything I had tasted fresh. Usually at buffet places you'll get a weird grease vibe from the dishes overall after eating. Not here at Golden China Buffet!! The green beans so yummy. I probably ate my weight in them. The dishes where flavorful. Distinctively different as it should be, but rarely get at buffets. Sushie was delicious and a beautiful variety displayed. I tried and dabbled many dishes I normally wouldn't and was pleasantly surprised with each of them. Jalapenos in the spicy dishes packed a crawling heat that only vanilla ice cream and banana pudding could help. So delish!! Highly recommend it. You'll enjoy it. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy more. What they lack in atmosphere they make up for in food my Gramps said as we where all quietly munching away. But I thought the chandelier and lighting was very pretty and I found my glaze getting lost to the blue and sparkle as I mindlessly shoveled food in. Oh, and Be sure to peep their Betta fish sushie behind the counter. He's beautiful. 🙌😍🐠

Seated quickly, servers was attentive, the air conditioning is struggling. In the summer time it is uncomfortable.

Ingredients are fresh and each dish was properly seasoned. Good taste. The owner and waitress were very friendly. Definitely recommend to others and will go again.

Me and my Daughter decided to dine in the eat dinner and the food was delicious!!! The ladies are very wonderful and warm welcoming!!! This place should get more stars and reviews!! I was very saddened after 20yrs the owners sold their location on Red Bank RD to new owners. This buffet took the place of that!! The ladies are very beautiful 🤎

The service was not warm nor friendly AT ALL. It seemed as if as soon as I walked in they wanted to be rid of me. On top of all that I was charged for dinner at 3:30pm when their own sign says the lunch doesn't end until 4pm. The food is very typical chinese buffet...nothing impressive. I'd skip it if I were you! I know I won't be back.

Frog legs. They're good when they're hot but,you have to ask for them if the pan is old

I love this china buffet they have the best chicken on the stick the best rice the best sweet n sour chicken n egg rolls i think i'll have lunch there today

Tasty Buffet. Everything you'd expect from a Chinese buffet. Has your standard selection of menu items & sushi. Each time I go, the food is hot, fresh and well prepared, plus, the service is polite & friendly. Always satisfying.

Excellent buffet and pleasant decor. This place has such a tremendous variety of food they offer...something for everyone. Even sushi. Very good sweet tea.

It is what it is.... Cheap Chinese food in its typical, tacky atmosphere. The food is actually pretty decent...if you want crappy Chinese food, go to the buffet next to Sports Authority on Rivers. Anyway, no complaints here. At least I'm not delusional enough to think I'm eating anything more or less than "so bad it's good" kind of food. The rice, beef, chicken, pancit, and potato foods are all that I eat from these places. They were all prepared with the expected negligence that makes this brand of Americanization so delightfully trashy. The service? Mediocre, but I don't care--get my drink and step out of the way. If I want Chinese food with the middle-class service, I'll go to Red Orchids and pay for what I get. Golden China Buffet--go in, stuff your face, leave feeling surprisingly crappy, yet also a little giddy.

Dishonest pricing. Took the whole family for a lunch. The soda machines were not calibrated correctly. We informed the staff and they didn't care or offer to get us different drinks. The food on the buffet was missing most of the lables so you had to guess at what you were eating. The food was also poor quality, either under or over cooked. The price listed for lunch was $6.49 monday thru Friday (we ate on Thursday). After eating we were given a bill for $8.99 each person plus the beverages. When asked about the price their comment was "it is a holiday so we charge more." When we were seated we were not informed of this nor was it posted anywhere. If you decide to take your chances make sure what you are going to be charged before hand.
