I wish there was a 10 star option because this place is absolutely amazing! We have lived in this area since 2012 and had no idea it even existed until we went to a baby shower there last weekend. The food was so amazing at the shower that I just had to go back to try it for dinner.
The food was amazing and our server was great. I never got to the bottom of my iced tea because it was always refilled before it got to that point.
Both the inside of the restaurant and the outdoor seating area are absolutely beautiful. Needless to say, I most definitely plan on going back again and again.
This place is a "highly recommend" for me. The photos I posted are both from the baby shower my husband and I went to as well as from my dinner tonight.
Good, but not great.
What I loved:
• The Italian wine selection was expansive and impressive. They even had a Chianti from a vineyard in Tuscany I visited—so they are in touch with truly authentic wines.
What I did not love:
• The service. I was a lost patron until I flagged down a busser.
• The entree. I had the Cannelloni Verdi Di Ricotta ‘Da Edoardo.' Given that it was a namesake of the restaurant, I had high expectations. Unfortunately it missed the mark. Visually, it looked a bit over done. Once I took the first bite, the cannelloni itself was almost dry, and while it had flavor, it was not an appealing flavor. To acknowledge the good, I must give a nod to the tomato cream sauce; that was the one exceptional element of the plate.
Other notables:
•. The bread was pleasant. Fresh and warm. As a bonus it came with a balsamic, oil and parmesan chess dip.
•. The salad course was also reasonable. The housemate Italian dressing was passable and nice. Bonus points for a high quality freshly grated cheese.
•. The atmosphere was perhaps dated, but traditional, and had a serene view.
Overall, without loving every single bite, I cannot offer 5 stars. But, Da Edoardo is worthy of a visit.
A lot of people may say their food isn’t good. But I am someone who doesn’t eat at fancy restaurants very often. I had their prime filet. And I can gladly say it was the best steak I have ever tasted. The meat was cooler perfectly, the wine sauce was amazing, and the taste of the steak all around was the best I’ve ever had. So if you are someone like me who doesn’t go to fancy restaurants very often, and you just decide to treat yourself this place is definitely worth it to go and you will not regret it!
Wonderful atmosphere!! This place is wonderful for family and friends, a colorful menu with delicate appetizers and entrees for everyone to enjoy! Would highly recommend!
