Why, on the 4th of July in the afternoon of a hot day, did my hubby and I even bother with Brick and Barley (where we got no sevice after more then 15 minutes and walked out to head to JBs!)?
The staff from the get go was SUPER friendly and interactive, the beer was so cold & yummy that we ended up have a few more then intended (oppsie!), then we just HAD to have spinach dip (YUMMY!). We won't even bother with the other places downtown anymore. Joe Blacks is the only way to go!
Fantastic bar. The bartenders are so welcoming and helpful. Feels like a small town bar in Grand Forks! Ask if Dubs is working! :)

Very good food and excellent service! Close to several other places too like the Hub Pub. That was a nice spot too.

Great Atmosphere, and extremely good food. Any food special is a slam dunk. Also, probably has the cheapest drinks in Grand Forks. Great for sports games, and a good sunday buzz

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was not busy. The atmosphere is not great and the only reason for 4 stars. The service was very good and they all had great attitudes. The food and beverages were really good. The jalapeño cheese curds and shrimp tacos were recommended and did not disappoint. This place would be a good place to watch a game.
Nice spacious atmosphere. Clean with nicely dressed and well mannered employees. Food is good and prices are competitive. I will go there again. I've never gone in evening but lunches are great.
The food was excellent. My husband had a burger and I had wings. The wings are one of the best I've had. Enough meat but still crispy and crunchy. Only pitfall was that it smelled like swimming pool when we walked in.
The food was perfect American. Tastes glorious fried and the beer was the best the town offers. The deals were also great.

Went there Saturday night with a couple friends and my Fiancé for a last fling before the ring for our friends who are getting married next weekend! Ordered off there menu and great selection of items wide variety of unique sandwiches! Great food and great service! Fun atmosphere for a few drinks and good food! I ordered the Tijuana Wrap! Definitely would recommend and they give you a very healthy portion of food!!
