Great breakfast stop with kids! A train pulled in while we were enjoying our amazing breakfast. All around, great value and memories :)
Best breakfast specials. I LOVE Pufferbelly! Where else can you get a giant rib eye steak and eggs for around $8.99? Now, that price is when it's the special, but the pork chop and eggs special is just as good! Or what about their burger/fries/drink lunch for $5?
Okay, it's kind of a dive, but in a really good way. Everything is made fresh. And the cinnamon rolls are giant, made from scratch yumminess!!!!
They're only open til 2pm, but have great earlybird deals until 8am!
Efficient waitress that was knowledgeable on the menu. Very clean and friendly atmosphere, and they have tons of these restaurants in town, so it’s clearly one of the local go-to for diner food. We didn’t try the famous cinnamon roll that everyone has reviewed about, instead we tried the country fried steak with the soup of the day, chicken poblano. We also ordered grilled cheese, onion rings, and mashed potatoes because I’m weird like that 😝. The portions were generous in size and hot upon arrival to the table. The country fried steak was HUGE. Great local place to try, especially if your driving through. The service was actually very fast, so we didn’t feel as though we wasted too much time off the road as we are road-tripping. Close to Arches National Park, if you haven’t been it’s a MUST see!!
A few miles off the highway but definitely worth it! The place was packed that was the first sign of good food. Our waitress was wonderful! The portions were HUGE and we had to get the cinnamon bun pictured. Homemade and amazing!
The place was busy and came highly recommended by two different people who used to live in Grand Junction. It did not disappoint. The food was wonderful. One of our kids was having a hard time and the staff was patient and kind about it.
The food was amazing and the service was even better! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My aunts and I are from Kentucky. We were recommended to go there and are sure glad we went! The owners family gave us amazing travel suggestions. It’s worth the drive from Kentucky to stop by!
I don't often give five stars but breakfast here at this time-warp (1987 anyone?) of a diner was FANTASTIC. The cinnamon roll was almost as good as my own :) , the eggs perfectly over-easy all nestled in my crispy hash browns. Bobbi, our server, was spunky and attentive. This has become my new go-to breakfast place! What a pleasant surprise!
staff friendly and fast , kitchen quick and on point! made an out of towner feel at home !
and those cinnamon rolls !
Driving from California to Colorado on day 2 we figured Grand Junction would be a good place to stop for lunch. My wife looked up places to eat and we selected Pufferbelly and she added it to our navi. Before I knew it we were deep into town and away from the interstate. We had not intended to drive far from the interstate. When we arrived the train station location made it very interesting. The food was very good and the service we received from Heather was very good. Our son who always gets chicken strips/nuggets/tenders says they were the best of our trip. My wife ordered the Cobb salad and it looked delicious and she was very happy with it. I ordered the mile high burger which was amazing. the bacon on it was so good I ate it before the burger itself. the French fries were amazing. this stop was well worth the effort to get to.
AMAZING! Cinnamon rolls are to die for- literally the best we’ve ever had. Biscuits and gravy are excellent, as are the waffles and pancakes. Green Chile is amazing. Chicken fried steak breakfast choices are delicious. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Booked a reservation for 8 on Google the night before and they had our table set up and ready when we got there. Excellent customer service. Cora, our waitress was THE BEST! Cannot say enough good things about this place. Wish we lived closer, we would eat there every day 😋
