Some of the best Mexican food in Michigan. Guacamole had black olives. Never have ever seen that anywhere in my life and had to pick them off ( didn't work for me). Other then that tasty and fast. Good service too.
The Decor was old 20 years ago. If you can get past the really old, dark decor, then the Beltline Bar is a decent choice for Mexican food. Like many, we had to wait for a table. Once we were given a table, we sat waiting for chips and salsa, but they never came... odd for a Mexican joint to not give you chips and salsa, right? So we ordered an appetizer. The appetizers all cost about a buck less than the entrees, which was kinda pricey. The Baja egg rolls were fantastic, but the rest of the food was average. Our waitress was very personable and spirited, so it was a fun night out. The Beltline Bar isn't the best Mexican place in town, but it will do. The waitress kinda saved the day.
Not bad if...... You go after ten for cheap beer and small bites. Just don't order anything you couldn't make yourself in less than 30 minutes. The pulled pork quesadillas are delicious. This place needs a serious makeover though. The dingy decor and "mexican" menu items are as tired as their jingle. Still, I can't resist the ability to get beer and tex mex late into the night.
Excellent lunch menu. Best Mexican food in town. Much better than years ago when the place was a Division dive.
YUM YUM. The first time I went to the Beltline Bar I was less then impressed with their food. I LOVE Mexican food and even though this is considered Tex-Mex I wasn't too impressed...until I went back! I ordered the steak fajitas and my fiance ordered the taco trio. The fajitas were really good but what blew my mind was the Steak Taco. The only regret we had was we saved that one to eat last so it was cold by the time we got to it. Can't wait to go back to get them again!!
Best Mexican Food in Town!!. I LOVE the Beltline Bar. If I am craving some good mexican food there is no other place that I would rather go. The guacamole dip is to die for! And how can you not get a famous wet burrito while you are there? I always want to try something new but I just can't stay away from the burritos!!
RAG. When our kids come home from Florida or the Middle East, we know AT LEAST ONE meal will be at Beltline Bar!
My favorite. This is the only place in town I go when I'm craving a wet burrito...my wife digs on the baja egg rolls and we usually end up fighting over whether to finish with fried ice cream or the chimi cheesecake thingie,,,so we do both....love this place!
WET BURRITOS!!. OMG!! My Grandfather, my father, and my family have been coming to the beltline bar for decades, if you havent tried a wet Burrito at this famous cafe then you need to!! It's by far the best Burrito in GR!!

Mmmmmmmm...Beltline Bar. Authentic? Well, it's the home of a giant "wet" burrito smothered in cheddar cheese. So, you tell me. Authenticity "issues" notwithstanding, they have one thing on the menu here that keeps me coming back -- the "Mexican Style Tacos". Now, despite the name, these aren't much more authentic than anything else on the menu, BUT they are delicious. Corn tortillas stuffed with shredded beef, and THEN deep fried to crisp the tortilla with a pocket of shredded beef in the middle; topped off with the typical lettuce, tomato, and [cheddar] cheese. Honestly, they're outstanding and are worth the trip by themselves.
Always packed because food is great Mexican flare with timely professional service. Great blended margaritas. Don't miss the wet burrito, mmmmm
Great Mex-Food. Good food for all ages, fun place to go.
Good Food, Good Price. My wife and I try to come here fairly often. We enjoy their burritos and tacos. They have some very good appetizers too.
We like this place so much, we had them cater our rehearsal dinner!!!
This is a nice restaurant. Love the decor. Food is okay. I tried the seafood enchilada. It was a good choice. Too bad the presentation lacked. My son said it looked like they threw a few black olives over it like confetti. Perfect description. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photographic memory for you to carry along with you.
The Old Mission burrito was great. Huge!
The drinks are great. Try the Sangrito. They make it strong.
First time coming here, came for the wet burritos. I got the deluxe chicken wet burrito husband got the chicken fajita wet burrito. Food was fantastic. Came on a Saturday evening, server came and took our order right away. Chips and salsa plus drinks came within a few minutes and they served us a trio of sauces that were really yummy and not too spicy just flavorful. I got the margarita flight he got a whiskey sour and I’d highly recommend the margaritas for sure. Food came shortly after on hot plates everything was just delicious. Usually the chicken is dry when I get burritos and it was so juicy and perfect here. I honestly can’t wait to come back for happy hour and try some other menu items it was a great experience.

Meals and large portions and this restaurant has built their reputation on it.
Great Mexican with a little extra flavor.
Clean. Nice atmosphere. Fast service.
Would definitely recommend to my friends and neighbors.
We had the best time! After traveling for 2 years...it was great to visit our old hangout. The bartender Heather was amazing and looked out for our best experience ordering and enjoying ourselves. We had Chips, Salsa and Bean Dip. We ordered a Shredded Beef & Bean Burrito. Everything was perfect...especially our hand poured Margarita! Ole...we'll be back!!!
Our server Marissa was absolutely phenomenal. Knowledgeable on the menu, prompt and very nice. The food also was amazing, usually I have the enchiladas, but I tried the Deluxe beef burrito and it's now my favorite thing on the menu, besides their margaritas!🍹Definitely recommend 😁
Went to try the famous wet burrito. Ended up getting the belting combo. It was really tasty, the margarita I got was heavily poured and our waitress was amazing.

“A Hidden Gem with Unforgettable Flavors!”
From the moment I walked into Beltline Bar, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, creating an inviting atmosphere that’s great for both friends and family.
The menu was impressive, boasting a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. I opted for their signature dish, and it did not disappoint! The flavors were rich
Awesome lunch from a consistently great spot. Always a welcoming atmosphere with fantastic food and service. Fair pricing on tasty drinks, plenty of parking, and the ability to just step in and relax all combine to make this one of my favorite spots when I'm in the area.
Our experience started out horrible. We sat for over 15 minutes with nobody greeting us, getting us drinks or anything. Meanwhile a manager was behind us scolding a waiter in front of a number of guests. Telling him that he needs to get it together, that these people shouldn't be sitting without drinks (meanwhile we are sitting without drinks.) The manager could have been helping rather berating this waiter in front of a number of customers. He then walked around to various customers and talked smack about HIS waiter. Train him, help him, be kind.
Our waitress turned out to be amazing, she was a little overwhelmed but overall loved her.
The manager needs to learn to criticize in private and praise in public. The whole world is on edge, the whole world is short staffed. Not all customers are kind and patient, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be.
Food as always was great. We will be back despite all of that.
We had the BEST experience at Beltline Bar this evening. Sean worked with our group's leader making space for 20 people. Eli and Ella served us quickly and accurately with fantastic attitudes, even when we needed separate checks!!
The food was fantastic. This would be my go-to place if I lived here!!
Thanks, Beltline, for making our evening!
surprisingly decent place for the origination of the "wet burrito". pretty great, fun page, great chips and salsa.
I had the seafood enchiladas. They were ok but they could have used way more sauce and a lot less cheese. The fried ice cream was great though!
We had Beltline Bar cater our wedding, bringing delicious enchiladas, rice, beans, and the traditional chips and salsa to our guests. Everyone left that buffet line satisfied. The enchiladas were delicious! Sean, the general manager, was fantastic to work with. He helped make the process smooth and was able to serve a delicious dinner on relatively short notice. The staff that came to the event (including Sean, because he wanted to make sure everything went well) was fantastic. They did a great job with set-up and tear down, and let us simply enjoy our day. Bravo Beltline!
It has been years since we visited the Beltline Bar. They were celebrating their 70th birthday and offering $7 burritos. Hubby ordered one and said it was one of the best he has had there. I ordered my seafood enchilada as I always did in the past. It too was delicious. Our meals came out to us within 5 minutes...and the restaurant was BUSY!!! Our server Hank, was one of the best servers we have ever encountered at any restaurant. Margarita's were also spot on. The menu was much smaller than we have experienced in the past. But the food was better than I remember. We will go back!
I love Beltline Bar. Top tier Tex-Mex, everything was cooked to perfection. The service was phenomenal as was the food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting if not a little dim. Very cozy place.
10/10 will recommend and return.
Very cozy atmosphere. I really like the built-in nooks that you don't see in modern pre-fab restaurants. Service was great, food was good, prices were competitive. One thing to note is that we found out chips and salsa, a free appetizer at many Mexican restaurants, are not free. Minor
Only major downside was that the background music (which is supposed to be in the background) was at a level that made conversation difficult.
