This has been my favorite donut shop for 25 years! I have lived in five 5 states and searched long and hard for better, it just doesn't exist!!!!
Had my first bite yesterday! My professor brought in 2 boxes for class, and man! Best filled donut I have ever had. Made me so happy to see that the frosting was actually good quality! It nearly would melt if it came in contact with my skin! And the filling?! To die to for! Took me 30+ plus to finish it since it was so darn rich!
The donuts are always yummy and fresh. But, they have cookies!!! And they are so moist and wonderful! I've lived by them for 6yrs and JUST went a few months ago- man I have been missing out. Love Sandys Donuts! And the staff are so friendly :) what a plus!
Best donuts in the city! They also have wonderful cookies and breads. Busy place so preorder if you are in a hurry and need a big order. Always friendly hometown service.

Moved to the neighborhood about a year ago. My children and I love the donuts. Staff is always cheerful. My last 2 stops have been quick. I stop on my way taking my 7th grader to school at CA Frost. We stop alot durning girls basketball season after the games. Looking forward to more yummy donuts in our future <3

I wanted to write a review because sandy's recently made my son's birthday cake and so many people told me they had no idea that sandys does cakes! They do and they are so cute and delicious!
The custard filled long johns and the yum yums are the best....
A great little place to get a delicious donut and cup of coffee to go or grab a seat and enjoy some conversation and the atmosphere too.
Customer service was great! Very friendly staff. The donuts were amazing! I wish there was a public bathroom, because we all know my 4 year has to always go.

Worth the wait! Always had good experience; remember dealing w/customers daily...makes for interesting days. Dealing with public, one will not be smiling in every instant. After all, we are human.

Old fashioned doughnut shop. None of the fancy craft candy loaded doughnuts that are all the rave currently (not saying they are bad because they are really good). Solid selection of the "classics" that have been fine tuned over time.
Donuts are huge, dirt cheap and delicious!!! Wish they were open on Sunday.

Apple Fritters. Crusty edges with soft, pillowy interior with chunks of apple and the perfect tough of cinnamon. Need I say more?
The coffee's and donuts are some of the best I've ever had. My husband and I completely enjoyed it and so did our three little girls. He also purchased a package of cookies we all love too. It was our first time there and we were very impressed. We plan on coming back very soon.
I’m not from the Grand Rapids area but I was in town for a work trip and found Sandy’s Donuts on google maps. I stopped in for donuts to share with everyone at work and they were a big hit. I had no clue what to get and despite being very busy the person who was helping me never rushed me and provided me the help and suggestions I asked for. I would definitely recommend. If I was in town again I would make sure to stop by again.

Had plans to visit a customer and thought of Sandy’s because they are always fresh, large sizes, look amazing and most importantly, delicious! The staff was quick, friendly, and helpful in choosing a great variety. Everyone loved their Friday treat!

The donuts here are fantastic and homemade each day. The parking is always a mess, and you often have to wait awkwardly in line. Service is always rushed.
Great donut place. Used to be very mom and pop style, but now it's a lot fancier- something you'd expect in east GR. Not necessarily a bad thing, but a change. Donuts have almost stayed the same... they dont offer bear claws anymore :(
However they do offer some gluten free treats which I think is commendable. Prices have risen over time but that's understandable too. I miss the days of the 25c last donuts of the day. Hoping that unsold donuts are still being donated to shelters.
Regardless, if you're in town, stop by for a donut! If you're an early bird, DEFINITELY stop in while they're warm!
