Well I can tell you that the owners of this place love clean facilities, and nice looking venues. Got an old fashion and it actually came with a square ice cube. The chic sandwich was amazing and the fries were blanched. They have recycled napkins, paper straws, and there house vodka is Titos. The bill for one person was 22 bucks, but it was worth well beyond that. What I love about place that have 10 dollar drinks is that they are usually made correct.

This vegan LOVES Citizen!!! I visited for my first time a month ago to enjoy their tiki-style drinks. I also had their spicy tofu sandwich (Bahn Mi, I think it’s called) and OMG, I haven’t stopped thinking about how good it is! Heaven! Luscious! Crispy on the outside! So satisfying! I just now ordered the same sandwich for pick up and devoured it in my car because I was craving it so much! The spicy fries are the bomb too. I can’t say enough good things.

Cool atmosphere. Owner (Rachel Le) was smiling and helping greeting guests at the door. Had a small issue with an appetizer. Quickly resolved . Look forward to going back. Great addition to Grand Rapids dining options

I’ve been here 3 times now. Each time the drinks have been stellar (especially held up to more talked about local cocktail bars), on theme, and patiently explained by the staff. Everyone has been friendly and attentive, but not overly so. The food is exactly what I’d hope...suitably Pacific Island inspired, but accessible and tasty. By the way, the guy who left the 1 star review gave a 5 star review to the Sprint store. The opinion is void. Next!

My belly needed lunch as I drove down Plainfield Ave. out of the corner of my eye I saw a colorful restaurant with outdoor seating. I turned my car around, found ample parking in the back, and sat down in a relaxing atmosphere that transported me to tropical memories. I sat myself as the sign suggested - service took a few minutes to find me. Once they did, they were attentive and friendly while serving with smiles. I had the Huli Huli chicken and I say, without hyperbole, it’s the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The Togarashi fries were just spicy enough to let my tastebuds know they were alive without any heat remaining. Price is midrange- there are some less pricey small plates, but expect an average of $13 per meal. That’s on par with most restaurants in downtown GR. I will definitely be back and I definitely recommend the Huli Huli chicken. Enjoy!

Fun island style drinks with a great vegetarian selection. Definitely recommended trying it out - friendly atmosphere with personable bartenders. It's an Asian themed menu, but still accessible for any palate.
