The food and service were all phenomenal. My glass never came close to empty all night long. Joseph our server was on point and brought us all the goods. The combination charcuterie board was amazing to peck on throughout the whole meal. We had steak (phenomenal), chicken (best I’ve ever had), lobster bisque and wedge salad both perfect, truffle fries, creamed corn, cocktails…everything was beyond perfect. They really took care of us. We honestly had no idea we were sitting down to a top 10 meal. We will be back. I chopped into the salad before I took a picture but it was pretty too, lots of high quality blue cheese.

Had Christmas Eve dinner at Old Hickory and had a wonderful time. Service was impeccable, and the restaurant, while standard steakhouse fare, was delicious. The oysters in particular were exceptional. It is an expensive restaurant, but well worth it for a special occasion.

Five stars for the service…three and a half for the food…and three and a half for the ambience/decor Let’s start with the star of the evening, the servers and staff were impeccable. My goodness, they go out of their way to make sure that you are fully pleased with your evening. Your water glass is never empty, and our waiter Joseph was delightfully funny and engaging. He was very knowledgeable about all of the dishes and answered questions with ease. The food was good, don’t get me wrong, there were some stars there, as well. We had the truffle fries (very good,) the wedge salads (STELLAR,) the scallops (would 100% get them again,) the filet mignon (was pleasantly fine, but really not rave worthy,) the Billionaire Baked potato (honestly worth every penny,) and the crème brûlée (was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere…it was undercooked and runny, completely unpalatable.) The decor is hit and miss. I personally loved the water glasses, such a beautiful weight to them. But the recessed light fixtures are filthy. Visibly coated in dust, the chairs were tattered and worn, and even the restroom had paper peeling off of the wall. If I ever stay at the Gaylord Texan again…I would probably only go to this steakhouse, if I were absolutely road weary, and wanted to stay in for the night.

Overall a good experience. Steak was wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Worth the price. Desert was good except I think they put something on the marshmallow to get it to light on fire. It tasted like a horrible chemical. After getting that out of my mouth, the chocolate surprise box dessert was amazing.

A truly special place to eat! They do have a little bit of everything for everyone, but the ribeye was amazing (a steak place at heart). Service was incredibly nice, professional, and quick. The food was awesome, and you will not be disappointed!
