From the curb appeal to the back door it was all on point. Our server Devin was knowledgeable and attentive not pushy. Chef Tom put together an incredible and tasty selection of meats and salads. All thought out and with purpose. Even the Greek Olive oil had purpose and flow with the taste of the menu items. Ambiance was just right in lighting, sound, seating and the live music. Tasty draft craft beers were a plus. Prime rib, perfect. Primavera pasta and steak, on point. Deserts floored us. Chef Tom was pleasant and sought feedback. Yes, we will be back and go through the menu little by little.
Stopped for a Friday night drink with a friend and ended up making an evening of it. Love the vibe/ambience. Food really good and our server Samantha was outstanding. Live jazz combo just made our night. Highly recommend this place.
Food is excellent and the service is top notch!! It was a Sunday afternoon, so we sat and visited and took our time. We were not rushed in any way and enjoyed small conversation with the staff. Since we were there around 2pm we were not allowed to order a steak from the dinner menu so we will have to go back :). Apparently the kitchen doesn't accommodate for the lunch and dinner menu all day. They do take walk ins and reservations.
Excellent place to eat with the family! Luke was a great server and the live acoustic music was really nice! They even sang happy birthday to me!
Great atmosphere. Mary our server was terrific. The food was excellent . We sat by the window enjoying our watermelon Cooler, ciders and beautiful sunny breeze . Will definitely come back again �
We had dinner here for the 1st. time last night and really enjoyed it. They had a nice 3 pc. jazz band and a packed house. We sat at the community table - cool idea! so we didn't have to wait 30 minutes with no reservation. Next time we'll call ahead. The crab cakes and sauce were so good - my mouth just started watering! ha! I had the 9 oz. filet - perfect cut, cooked perfectly on a bed of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I wanted to take a picture of every dish. My wife had the BBQ chicken pizza, by a friend's recommendation and it was soooo good... just the right size and brick oven baked. Service was great, friendly smiles.. obviously happy to be working there. I love the big fireplace and giant open windows...What a beautiful night... Got a Buy one steak, Get one free coupon too. We will definitely be coming back on a regular basis. Thanks!

We chose this place to host our company party, and we were SO impressed. The food (which was amazing) wasn't even the best part. The staff made us want for nothing and handled, 40+ people with ease. The bar never skipped a beat in delivering not only some amazing wine choices like a French Syrah, but also some choice signiture cocktails like "the elvis". If you are considering places for an event or even a nice night out, I would say this would be a smart choice. If it sounds like I work for them, they might as well put me on the payroll cause I am not even close to shutting up about this place!
Best steak I've had in Lake County since I moved up here from Kansas City 8 years ago. My wife had the pan seared grouper and apsolutetly loved it, this is my new spot to wine and dine.
Center Cut was everything I expected it to be. We enjoyed talking to Rueben, who knows his whiskey and bourbon. Loved the quaint table for two, which made for a romantic evening. I highly recommend Center Cut for casual conversation and a romantic date night.
We went there for my birthday. Ribeye was amazing. Scraped the plate clean. Usually only eat half of my steak but couldn't stop eating it. Nom nom nom. Great service from our waitress Sarah. We will definitely be back for future date nights. Glad we have such a great steakhouse so close by. Also tons of Gluten Free options which made my Fiance happy

Really nice restaurant in downtown Grayslake with outside seating along street. Street barriers with flowers. Great service by Cassie. GM came out and welcomed us. Staff really provides great friendly service. Had goat cheese with marinara sauce and tasty toasted bread slices for appetizer. Delicious! We got salmon with green beans and potatoes. Sauce on salmon was so good. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Dessert. Chocolate mouse was rich and creamy. Definite must try.
The filet mignon was superb!! A bit pricey but i think if you want a good steak ill pay for a little more. The calamari was very delicious! My wife got the santa fe salad and i like it a lot, she thought it was ok. The service was slow and we were literally one of 3 total tables on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice clean place. Just expect to pay a good amount of money
Had a well-deserved amazing meal with wonderful people. My girlfriend got the short rib, and it was delicious, but it was a bit pricey. My other girlfriend got the 8 ounce filet, and she said it was on point and the price was fair. I got the prime rib that they only have on fri & Saturdays. And as you can see in the pictures it was perfect! Or server Rachel was also a pleasure to be around and made our visit that much more enjoyable!

Walking in, the decor and ambiance are absolutely gorgeous. My buddy told me about the food and drinks. So, I was ready to dig in, I went with carne asada, mash, and old-fashioned. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, it was so good I wanted to order another plate. The old-fashioned was good about 6/10. Make no mistake the star of this show was the Steak. Would definitely be heading back to this gem in Grayslake.
Thank you to 129 Center Cut. My daughter’s bridal shower was amazing. 60+ guests were taken care of seamlessly, thank you Jes. The food was great and plentiful as were the mimosa and Bloody Mary bars. The venue was beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event.
The restaurant was very nice. Went down there on a Wednesday night and they were having the farmers market in town. Ordered a steak and it came with a dinner salad. The dinner salad tasted fine it just looks like it was old and a bit wilted. The steak I ordered was very good and the broccoli and potatoes sides were also very good. Maybe they could improve upon the salads just a bit. I would suggest you go ahead and go there because the food is really good. The atmosphere is good and the service was very excellent.
Upscale casual steak house with a great vibe and good food. Wood fire mushrooms had some zing with the spicy sausage. Prime rib (Saturday special) had a good crust and the black pepper aus jus was a nice touch.
Absolutely loved dinner at Center Cut! My 3 friends and I were all seated within a few minutes, the staff was attentive with getting our orders, drinks filled, and appetizers to the table promptly. The food was amazing! The lamb pops are a definite must try. The chicken alfredo was great. Finishing with the creme brulee was a perfect ending to an excellent meal. Will go again soon!
Had a great dinner experience at the restaurant. Showed up because of Lake County restaurant week and we left very happy. We enjoyed a lot of their cocktails, all were really good. I started with their 129 Signature Manhattan and my wife had the Moonlit 75, the purple drink. Then switched their sangria and a glass of viognier with dinner and finished a a gin martini and the Alpine Mudslide. All of the drinks were great. We started dinner with their crab cakes on special and they were fantastic. Then we enjoyed some of their prime rib. The mashed potatoes were fantastic. The server was very attentive throughout the entire meal and every was friendly. We had one minor issue and they went above and beyond to fix it and left us very happy. If you're in downtown Grayslake or just near the area I would definitely suggest you check it out.
The steak was a little more well done than expected but it was delicious. Not sure if the super high Chicago caliber prices for steak will have us coming back much, unfortunately. The atmosphere is amazing, especially when there is a live band, but the cost makes it hard for us to bring family when they are in town, or even to celebrate special occasions. I do enjoy drinks with a little bit of that amazing woodfired pizza though.
There is a kids menu coming in at around $15/dish.
This place is perfect! Food, atmosphere and service! We went on a Friday night, there was live music, perfect for a Friday date night. I had the Filet Trio, amazing meal!! The service is always great too! Love this place!!
I did like the place... But it's pricey for my liking... I asked for Add Ons on my steak and for $3 extra I got like FIVE mushrooms... I feel it should be more generous. Same thing happened to my add on caramelized onions so that's already $6+ for my meal... Tried Purple Rain for my cocktail and that was super delicious! The steak was perfect. The mashed potatoes were a bit dried. The cappuccino, cheesecake and cookies sundae were pretty good.
