My husband and I enjoyed a dim-lit, romantic post-Valentine’s Day dinner there this weekend. So many delicious options to choose from, We will have to come back to try more! I had the raw oysters from Massachusetts, sweet and perfect size, the split pea soup which was the opening pre-appetizer was the best I’ve ever had! The house salad was dressed perfectly, not too little and not drowning, flavors flowed well and I loved the little garlic crouton on top! It was so garlicky that it was slightly spicy but such a small portion that it didn’t overpower the salad. We were then served an apple cider sorbet to cleanse the palette. I loved it, but my husband thought it was too sweet for his liking. My meal I ordered the Hunter’s Duo which was red deer chop (like a bone-in pork chop steak but Deer meat), and a duck confit stuffed quail that was so tender you can cut the meat with a fork. Garden veggies on the side and a sweet potato mash. I took bites of everything but had to get the rest to-go because I didn’t want to miss out on dessert! I ordered a raspberry soufflé, and it was puffy goodness all the way through! I highly recommend this restaurant! The service was A+ and the food as well! My only suggestion, be careful with wearing heels, the driveway and parking spots are gravel and not paved. We came when it snowed and I was wearing heels with my dinner dress. It made for a very wobbly walk to and from the entrance.

L'Auberge Chez Francois is a very special place to dine, from the food to the service. It stands out from other restaurants in our DC area. It has old world charm in a very beautiful setting. You feel like you are transported to France and it is the perfect place for a special occasion. I have never been disappointed and always leave with wonderful memories. Their GARDEN PATIO dining area is the best in our region.

The food, the ambiance, the staff were all top notch. My wife and I thought it would be wonderful to treat ourselves after church to a wonderful meal, so we decided to head here. The wait staff were wonderful, like I said, and the meal was very delicious. Unfortunately, my children are very particular about what they eat. So bad to the point where they'll go hungry and not eat. So, while my wife and I eat, to keep the children occupied, we let them play games on our phones. While we're in public, we put the volume down very low so as not to interrupt the other patrons. That being said, during our meal a man at another table freaked out and yelled at my 5 y/o son to turn down the phone so he could enjoy his meal. He was quite belligerent and made it seem as though he were more important and better than we were. The fact was, he wasn't even eating yet. I tried to be very political about the situation but he kept on huffing and puffing. It wasn't until his wife put her arm around him that he settled down. The phone was at a low volume so as not to bother anybody, he was just being overly sensitive. Is this a good representation of the clientele you keep at your fine restaurant? I hope not, because you have wonderful food. Unfortunately, I'll not be coming back with my family until the pompous citizens of Great Falls learn to relax and accept others.

We really enjoyed our experience at the restaurant last night. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. There were plenty of staff hanging around to help with any questions. They refilled our water glasses and wine glasses after every sip. The menu is very extensive with options for every eater. The options are also very diverse and different from most fine restaurants. The cheese cake dessert was as good as it looked. The chocolate tart was ok, not spectacular. The prices are high but we expected the total bill to be higher than we traditionally spend for dinner on a Saturday night. It is a perfect restaurant for a very special occasion, which we were celebrating. Because we went during the holiday season, the restaurant was elegantly decorated.

I found this place amazing. Even in France I found great restaurants but this is a restaurant that is better than any in Paris. I’m speechless on the experience.

We have been many times. Sunday was one of the best we have ever had. They are using the garden more and bringing in seasonable items. Absolutely outstanding service; humorous, not pretentious and very attentive without hovering. Made excellent recommendations after asking a little about we like.

The food, the wine, and the service was absolutely incredible! Most tender and St tasting beef I've ever had! The ambiance and the personal service were just perfect for an anniversary dinner! We will return!

Excellent food and service!!! My only quibble is that a chocolate soufflé should be made with chocolate so that you don't need to pour chocolate sauce into and over it. The sauce should be something other than chocolate to compliment the (chocolate) flavor of the soufflé. This was a soufflé with a chocolate sauce. Please note that the soufflé was perfectly prepared, but I would have tried something else had I known (as there were so many intriguing choices). However, Don't let my crazy nit picking stop you from visiting this wonderful place for a memorable experience!!!!!

This is a very cool restaurant. It feels like you’re at an old little place in France. The decor is on point for this type of place. And the food was absolutely delicious! Prices are definitely on the higher end, but it’s worth it. The best part of the place is the service. Our server was phenomenal and had been working there for almost 20 years. Unbelievable in the restaurant business! Says a lot about a place. Would go back and would recommend!

L'Auberge Chez Francois, a Culinary Haven in the Heart of Grace... Nested in the picturesque countryside this restaurant is a true gem in the world of fine dining. Stepping into this elegant French farmhouse style restaurant is like entering a dream where the culinary delights are unparalleled and the ambience exudes warmth and charm. Recently I had the distinct pleasure of dining at this legendary establishment and it was a journey that I will cherish forever. The desserts are nothing short of extraordinary. The creme brulee and orange souffle are testament to the chef's mastery of the sweetheart. The creme brulee boasts a perfectly caramelized sugar crust that shatters with each spoonful revealing the silky vanilla kissed custard beneath. It's a timeless classic done to absolute perfection. Meanwhile, the orange souffle is an ethereal creation and simply melts in your mouth. The zesty citrus notes provide a refreshing contrast to the creamy interior, making it a delightful ending to a superb meal👌 But it's not just the desserts that dazzled me. This restaurant takes farm to table to a whole new level by sourcing fresh vegetables from their own garden. The commitment to quality ingredients shines through in their fabulous entrees. One such masterpiece is the 'La Matelote de Poissons et Crustaces', a seafood lover's dream. This dish brings together and exquisite on ensemble of Maine Lobster, Mediterranean Sea Bass, Norwegian Salmon, Carolina shrimp, Main Diver Scallops, and Jumbo Lump Crab Meat. Each element is impeccably prepared showcasing the natural flavors of the sea. The crowning glory is the white lobster sauce. A velvety elixir that binds the dish together in perfect harmony. The Carre d'Agneau, a rack of lamb with herbs they province is another testament to the kitchen's prowess. The lamb is tender succulent and infused with aromatic herbs that transport your palette to the enchanting landscapes of southern France accompanied by a garden vegetable meant the and a thyme sauce that just adds the right amount of earthy complexity. This dish is a symphony of flavors and textures. The service at this restaurant is as exceptional as the cuisine. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable of the restaurant's history and passionate about the food they serve creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. I honestly cannot wait to return for another unforgettable culinary adventure!!

Timeless auberge. Cozy. Old fashion decor but that’s the charm. Been there for years. Consistently good and great service. If you are looking for traditional French cuisine, this is the place.

Wish we lived closer to dine there more often! Food was amazing. Service was fantastic. Everything from the extra creamy herb cottage cheese & fresh made bread & butter, melt in your mouth trout, to the decadent desserts is outstanding. Great value considering all the food served. I expected smaller portions for lunch. The lobster bisque appetizer was a large bowl. Trout was enough for 2 servings. Highly recommend.

Came here for a set menu dinner with French Cuisine! Incredibly pricey and incredibly authentic, but the ambiance and dishes is something I will never forget. You are treated like royalty here. And I think we came on the most perfect DC day. Even though we ate inside, walking around the grounds which includes a tent, gazebo, grass, and a garden that they use for their salads. I ate a sort of seafood parfait, veal, salad, and a cheesecake, and it was all very great French Food. Getting here was pretty difficult though ):, and ubers kept canceling on us. This adds to the experience though because one of the servers offered to drive us back which we took them up on!

Amazing restaurant and food! We went here for a wedding and reception and the entire experience was incredible. The attention to customers was spot on, always offering with whatever was needed. The ambiance was incredible as well, making what was a large venue feel quaint and intimate. The food, we had lobster and filet, was just delicious. I will say the filet was under cooked and the lobster seemed overcooked, but this can happen with such a large event. The sauce with the steak was so good. It did rain and so towards the end of the night in the tent out back for dinner, the ground got really mushy and got my suit pants and shoes pretty messy. No fault of the restaurant though. All in all an amazing spot for a large group, a special occasion, a family meal or a romantic outing.

My husband surprised me to dinner here for our 12 year wedding anniversary and boy, did they not disappoint! Arthur was outstanding and all of the food was amazing! If you love Le Diplomate then this place will set your bar for French cuisine, even higher! I would dine here more often if it weren't over an hour from my home. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, drinks and the impeccable service!

Food and service at L'Auberge Chez Francois was excellent as usual. Prix fixed menu where price of your entree included appetizers, salad and dessert. If course, some items had upcharge and the souffle (must try once) was additional cost as well. Bread was good, and a glass of mushroom soup was served before the appetizers. Included salad was fine and my mushroom crepe was amazing. My entree was beef medallions, lamb chops and lobster. Souffle was great.

This place was incredible. Quite the experience but without pretentiousness or entitlement. The staff is incredibly welcoming and caring. Service is top notch. We had Sammy and he was a rock star. Food was impeccable and there were options for a variety of clientele. All in all, you really get to have a night out here and an experience to match. Oh and another tip of the hat to the sommelier. He fits the vibe and is extremely approachable.

Dined here for Sunday Lunch last weekend. The service was exceptional. My husband had visited in the past and knew it was a prix fixe menu but it was my first time. It was a pleasure to have a sommelier come over to our table to meet us and advise on a Cabernet that we both enjoyed. I’ve ordered escargot at other restaurants but this was truly authentic. Don’t let it intimidate you, because they were easily removed from their shells, as well. I ordered the veal and it was a great choice. The sauce was a nice compliment to the flavors. My husband’s filet was cooked perfectly and mushrooms were so good! The raspberry soufflé was the best I’ve ever had. We highly recommend L’Auberge Chez Francois. You will definitely spend more than usual for a meal but if you appreciate the best , fresh ingredients prepared by a truly gifted chef, you will see the value. Also, It’s not just about the food, it’s an experience.

Very good authentic French cuisine, but very pricy. I get the vibe of the decor they were going for, but it’s very dated in my opinion. On the other hand, all the dishes we had were beautifully prepared. Overall, you won’t regret coming here for a wonderful meal, just be prepare to shell out $200+ per person. It’s definitely a special occasion type of restaurant.

We come here every year for my husband’s and his dad’s birthday! Service is really good and each of the dishes are delicious. Wine corkage fee has gone up over the years but they also do have a good wine list. We always get the prefix menu and escargot is a staple. Rack of lamb is my favorite and I also enjoy the soup they give you. Grand Mariner Soufflé is a must here! Make sure to make a reservation and the ambiance is country French vibe. They also give you chocolate truffles with the bill, such a nice touch. I look forward to us going every year!

We had a wonderful dinner at this unique French Restoraunt in mother Virginia, maybe 20min from DC. This place is very specially and everyone gets there for a reason and occasion. Service is very professional and your dining experience is exclusive. Good is served in 4 courses, env is season based on availability of local resources. It is rustic and antique interior which brings a country style atmosphere and great experience to all. I would highly recommend this place . It great experience even it is pricy but totally worth it.
