Several of our friends are regulars. This was our first visit. When we arrived, the restaurant was crowded and looked full, except for a single table in the rear corner. Actually, there was a table in the center that we were seated at. The tables are close, giving it more of a coziness than the separation of most upscale places. It exudes a comfortable vibe, romantic or casual. Patrons were obviously enjoying themselves. There was quite the buzz of conversation. Lighting was fairly low in the center, higher in the front and sides.
We usually order an appetizer and an entree, but we like different Greek foods, so doubled on everything. She got the grape leaves with meat, and I started with the beets with pistachios and mashed potatoes. Our entrees were moussaka and mixed grill. Despite my usual aversion to eggplant (it's a texture thing), it was flavorful. I love lamb chops, and was not disappointed. Both the chicken and filet skewers were equally good.
We asked for dinner drinks and ended up with an Ouzo martini for her, and a pino noir, both enjoyed.
The biggest impression was how involved and energized the wait staff was. Our server was Taliya(sp?). Quite engaging. At the end we also met Phil, the owner. We'll be back.
The food was wonderful. The Greek salad is so fresh (no lettuce) with smooth, creamy feta chunks. The octopus was so tender. The dolmas contained ground meat, which is good to know as some folks like the vegetarian ones.
For entrees, we got the mixed grill, grilled salmon, roasted lamb, and mixed seafood. For most items, the portions were large (plenty to both eat and take home). The mixed grill was a great size, it included a chicken skewer, lamb, and steak....all cooked to perfection.
My husband and I recently visited Greece . Now, back in the state of Virginia, we were on a mission to find an authentic Greek restaurant.
boyyyy! we are thrilled to have found this place.
The food is amazing and very authentic .
For our first visit last night we ordered
Greek salad , Patzária & Pistachio Skordaliá and Branzino.
The Branzino was a bit dry and the Greek salad could use more tomatoes and not as much cucumbers .
Over all everything was very flavorful .
Excellent service and great ambiance .
Price is in between moderately expensive $$ to expensive $$$
Our server ILKER has made our first experience very enjoyable .
High marks for our mom Eugenia's restaurant! We had a lovely dinner here on a Friday night. The restaurant is crowded and reservations were required. We started with zucchini slices and calamari, which were amazing. Both very lightly fried and perfectly presented. For dinner we enjoyed the table side bronzino. Absolutely recommend trying this meal. It was some of the best bronzino we've had. We ended the meal with orange cake, and also found it to be some of the best we've had. During the meal, the service was particularly good , and the live music was lovely.
One of the best if not THE best Greek food you can get in the area. Highly recommend the Greek lasagna here. Service was top notch, food was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy. Be sure to make a reservation during peak hours.
This is quite possibly the BEST Greek food I've ever had. The octopus is tender and delicious, the lamb was tender and succulent, and don't event get me started on the seafood. With polite and friendly service, good food, and a relaxing vibe, there's nothing better at the end of a long day. We WILL be coming back.
We felt welcomed into this neighborhood-feeling restaurant and enjoyed our food very much. Our server was personable and had good suggestions. In short, we'll be back.
Great 1st time at the restaurant. Food and service excellent. Thanks for the birthday cake! I would definitely go back. I had the grilled skewer and my friends the filet.
Delicious food! Saganaki is amazing and i highly recommend the trio sampler for the different dips. The salmon special was fantastic and the waitress (sorry forgot your name) was very helpful!
Great food. Make reservations. guitar music was a nice touch. Pictured is the zucchini fritters
A lovely romantic Valentines dinner. Heart shaped beets with our salad. Live Greek music. This place is a gem.
Went to this restaurant today, it was amazing. We tried out many different dishes and everything was delicious. The food came super fast and the service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant is fabulous! Owner and staff members are so very pleasant and welcoming. The food is delicious and service is always excellent.
We are so happy there are multiple locations so whichever direction we are traveling it is always one of our favorite options.
The Greek salad is something we always have whatever our selection of the day is; we find that it is the perfect way to start “our Greek Feast”
Outstanding meal. Thanasis is the best. When we entered the restaurant, Thanasis came right over and greeted everyone in our party by first name (4 people). Incredible! He makes our visits so much fun. He anticipates and has an excellent sense of timing. All this and delicious food!
In the last seven weeks I have eaten here six times and I am going back Friday evening because of the delicious, fresh food and the very personable and friendly staff. Each dinner has been thoroughly enjoyable. The Banzino is fabulous, fresh and just perfection, the Greek Village Salad is amazing as well as huge. I love the eggplant appetizer and have had many other things on the menu, one better than the other. I live 32 miles away but I am addicted to Our Mom Eugenia and the ride is a breeze because the whole way I just think of the wonderful experience that awaits me. Please do not go here because it is getting popular and I want to be certain I can get in whenever I can.
Dined here for the 5th time in the last 18 months. Exceptional service and always lovely food.
Amazing Greek food, you must try the grilled halloumi cheese, Greek salad, lamb shank. I recommend a reservation on the weekends.
