The environment is small but feels cozy, looks clean and tidy. It’s a small restaurant, don’t except something upscale. I tried the noodles and the beef rice, very delicious, very balanced regarding spices and flavors. The cuisine is from Yunnan province, so this is a good place to try this kind of food. The service was fast and professional. The pricing is not on the cheap side. Overall, I’d go back to this restaurant.
Authentic Yunnan noodle restaurant, full of flavors that exploded in your mouth. Nice balance of spice and flavors. The noodles are made fresh and so soft. This is a nice find in little neck, you can only find places like this in flushing.
Very YunNan style, fancy rice noodles. Love the pot, old fashioned and pretty. The dishes unique, food taste great!
Nice environment and clean area, foods is okay. But clay pot with rice is totally wrong in cooking, they pre cook the rice and put it a clay pot.
I absolutely love this restaurant! It is hard for me to find places that I want to eat at when I come to Long Island from manhattan but this place has become one of my go-to’s! The fish, shrimp, stinky tofu, chicken roll, loo roh rice, beef noodle mi-xian are so good! I could eat here once a week!
Pros - tastes great. The dish that comes with ingredients in a wooden box, you can adjust the flavor to your liking, which we liked. The braised beef noodle is also flavorful as is the chicken and rice dish. Very clean feeling dishes that you feel full but light. Potato appetizer is our favorite
Cons - a bit expensive for the amount of food
We’ll definitely revisit again.
We went for dinner on Labor Day with another couple, and were very pleased with everything about Coco Palace. Attractive decor, friendly and attentive service, and really unique and delicious food! None of us had ever heard of Yunnan cuisine before reading the Newsday review of this restaurant... It's not your typical Chinese food! (Although, to be sure, the restaurant wisely offers some "typical" dishes for the less adventurous diners.). The waiter explained that Yunnan province is close to Thailand, which gives you a clue as to the types of spices they use, but it's not Thai food. We tried an array of new and different things, and the wait staff was very helpful in explaining what each dish was. Prices are reasonable for this area. Definitely worth a visit, this is a great addition to the neighborhood.
You must try their mushroom over rice. It was awesome!
The rice noodles are good, and also other dishes.
Cold eggplant app, noodle soup, spicy or not spicy soup for the soul. Awesome food and service.
Great authentic noodles. Interesting combination of spices. Would definitely try again.
Pleasantly surprised by how nice, and good, this Chinese restaurant is. Authentic Chinese food.
Friendly service. Nice menu and well-prepared dishes.
Great food. Very unique. Definitely recommend.
