My bride and I visited Hagemeister Park about 4 weeks ago so my review is a little foggy on the details but it does not diminish from my favorable experience as I recall it.
It was a snowy day when we visited and parked across the street using metered parking, which was easy using the parking app. From the front, Hagemeister appears to be a small storefront sized restaurant. It is anything but! It is rather expansive inside. Huge actually. I loved the rustic, relaxed decor and the large booth where we were seated. Televisions were mounted throughout so if you are hoping to watch The Game, you can do it here.
I was in the mood for a beer and I appreciated the variety of craft beers available. Not too large where the decision is difficult but just enough to cover most of the types one would want. I prefer a Scotch ale so I tried the Christmas Ale. Maybe twice. For my meal, I ordered french onion soup and the Ultimate club sandwich. While the french onion soup was good, I would not declare it to be world famous level of good. I still prefer my own home cooked recipe. The Ultimate club was very good though. My bride ordered the Elk burger which she found delicious as well.
Having filled our bellies, we left satisfied and will make this a stop the next time we are in the area. Our server was attentive and friendly and the prices were fair.
I always seem to take the photo after I have had my first bite. The California chicken flatbread was tasty. It was enough to split between myself and my boyfriend. Nice atmosphere. Would like to go back and try the fish.

So went went down to this place last night and it is a beautiful restaurant and has an amazing back patio that over looks the river going through. There is a outside bar that you go up to to get drinks the bar staff it’s self was not impressive they seemed to want to talk more to each other then get drinks to people. But we finally got a waitress and Shannon was amazing. We had the bruschetta and it was very good then split the pork Mac burger. This thing was great. Hand a patty on it with pulled pork and Mac and cheese. It is a must try. Will definitely go back while in town
What a great choice for dinner on the boardwalk near the Fox River. They have a wonderful patio area overlooking the river with live music on the weekends and fire pits for after dark. At first we chose to sit outside but then realized the sun was going to be too hot and there weren't umbrellas for shade. They were very accommodating moving us inside. We went specifically for the Friday fish fry. The perch was excellent! Lightly battered and fried, I really enjoyed it. The cod was good, as well. I wish we could have tried the seafood chowder but alas, it was not available... hopefully it would be another time as it looked delicious! The beer was very good with a large selection of local craft brewers.
The cheese kurds were really yummy, the view was AMAZING! The fire 🔥 (lit @ night) was pretty warm & cozy. & I love how they have a big outdoor dining area!
One of our favorites! Whether if it's just for an outdoor drink on their boardwalk area in the summer or for a great burger. Staff can be very busy but they're always nice. Love their large outdoor patio. Their bison burger is great. It's my ypung daughter's favorite place so I'd say it's great for families/kids.
