Kroll's East is a bit of a time capsule that has multiple dining spaces with limitless seating. It is undoubtedly a neighborhood institution that all of the locals know about. The burgers have thin old timey 1/4 pound patties, that are still juicy somehow and have a bit of char flavor. They come wrapped, so they don't photograph very well, but it's obvious that they are melded together with buttery goodness. They are all cooked to medium doneness due to their slim profile. We really enjoyed the garlic cheese curd cubes. Get the larger portion for sure. The fries are big and crispy coated as are the homemade onion rings. The staff is friendly and helpful. Every table booth has a button to press when you are ready to order. It's kind of like drive in food, more than it is bar food, but there is a super cool, semi deco, bar dining area with a full bar too. The place could use some freshening up, I guess, but the booths and throw back elements are totally awesome. They have a big drive up business on one side, but to dine in, go around to the back entrance door.

This place is a time machine. Pass through the threshold and you’ve entered 1967. The butter burgers are juicy, the onion rings are out of this world, and the Blatz is ice cold. …Okay maybe it was Miller Lite. Either way this place is a gem, and clearly a local favorite which has remained unchanged since Vince Lombardi used to stop in after practice.

This is a great Green Bay tradition. I don't know how many people know that it actually started on the South side of Chicago but that's another story for later. Burgers are way above average Wisconsin chargrilled butter burgers. Chili is consistently good. The style is somewhat unique to Green Bay with the spaghetti noodles. I might give it a few more stars but for the fact that a couple of years ago which was pre Covid I walked in and the guy behind the bar said I'll tell you right now buddy you're gonna wait 45 minutes for any food. I politely told him I could drive to Basil's II and be eating by then So I thought what the hell I drove a few miles and got a much better Burger.

If you are visiting Green Bay you need to Ali stop at Kroll's. Great food and beverages. Friendly staff. Only thing to improve is restaurant interior. It needs an update. But then again, it transports one back in time.

I'm quite a fan of diners, especially ones that have been around for a long time! They offer a unique cultural experience and insight into the hearts and minds of the people of a city, town, village or borough! When I visited Kroll's I was welcomed by kind staff as we found seating; the staff members that attended to us were absolute sweethearts, that were very attentive and polite. After we placed our order, we met who I presumed to be the owner/chef, an older gentleman, who brought our food to us and neatly assembled it on our table, then immediately asked us to pay the bill. I thought that this was the norm, perhaps in Green Bay you pay before you eat, until I noticed that other customers were presented with their bills after they finished eating their meals. Then it occurred to me, maybe it's because I didn't look like everyone else that was dining in that I was treated in such a manner. However, I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt. I'm glad I visited but I would prefer to be treated like everyone else if I were to ever visit again. Hereinafter, it is my hope that any person of color who visits in the future is asked after they finish their meal if they would like their bill, just like everyone else.

I went there three times ion the past two weeks to check this place out. The first two times I only had soup. Both times it was very good.
Today, I went there with my daughter. She ordered a burger, I ordered their Nacho special. My daughter did not finish her burger. It had a very tiny thin burger patty. It was all bun. My nachos were completely mediocre.
Plus, it is really annoying to have the server standing over you, collecting payment immediately after she puts the food on the table. She stands over you while you are entering your tip on the credit card slip. Who does that? They do and it is what they do.
I only recommend going there for soup.

They package delivery securely (thank you). Their perch, shrimp, fries, hash patties, coleslaw all good. Their bluegills are ok, very teeny. The cod fish fry smells looks and tastes like Mrs Paul's frozen fish - will not order again.

Place was dark ,stood at entrance until a customer took pity on us,and told us to seat ourselves. The young man that took our order was abrupt ,felt like we were bothering him. Food was truly terrible, cheese curds were cold inside. While we were there an elderly women fell. The gentleman that took our order walked around her and left her on the floor. The waitress that served our food was a sweetheart. Will never come back!!!
