Meh....to the buttermilk pie. Have waited literally months to try this pie only to not be enthused. The crust had a bit of a burnt taste but it was covered with whipped cream. A little pricey for lunch but only if you think you're going to get fastfood. This place is delicious. Staff attentive. Restrooms are clean. Lovely historic photos through out. If you have a sweet tooth try the buttermilk pie. Nothing at all like buttermilk.
What a nice surprise. Unexpectedly needed lunch and this restaurant was close. We had country fried steak and hamburger steak with onions. The sweet tea is the best! The squash casserole wasn't our favorite but that's just our personal taste. Smashed potatoes with bacon was also really good. Definit
